Sergio has worked for me for 18 months. He drained & bead cleaned my tile $1500, installed new…read morefilter system $2350 5/24, suggested a new saltwater system $2500 installed last week 8/24, until all of my pool equipment was STOLEN 4 days later. He then made another $5050 to reinstall an entire new system again after I agreed to pay him before Farmers even took care of the claim. Sergio hired a friend, Jaime an installer who had only done work ONLY inside gate guarded communities, I was the first install job where I was not secure in a gate guarded community. Sergio immediately questioned him knowing this was suspicious and when we started investigating, I shared all of the negative reviews from Yelp, and he said he never vetted him. They broke into my backyard, ruined my gates and professionally stole it and hauled it over the 5-foot block wall and out of my yard. I have 5-to-8-foot walls around my entire home, this was not easy to obtain access and certainly to remove with the weight going over the block walls. Sergio contacted the police department and placed a report since I was two hours away. My neighbor has been reviewing the camera footage to hopefully catch and convict, but the police department included nothing really happens criminally anymore! Sergio offered to cover my $1000 deductible, but when it came to the final payment, he didn't honor the commitment he provided me with in writing. In fact, after looking into the cost of the equipment he pocketed $5,000+ for both installations. I spent thousands on deductibles, new security and camera system for my yard, additional expenses to take time off of work, gas and all of the work with the added stress of feeling completely violated by allowing this to happen. To top it off his father has been cleaning my pool and we have had algae and mold of the tile which I have asked to be cleaned in multiple communications even when he was on his honeymoon. I just can't get over the lack of integrity, so I terminated him. In addition, when I asked for my other pump to be reinstalled (which was new) he told me he got rid of it. It was new and most likely sold!! He sent me a text message offering to pay the $1000 deductible but after demanding the full payment saying that I agreed to pay for the new system. This was a painful and expensive lesson be careful who you hire and who they bring onto your property as this has cost me sleepless nights and thousands of dollars!!!!

This will save us about $50 each month based on what we already purchase for the pool and the trips we were making to Leslie Pools. I mentioned to Jaime that our water has large amounts of dissolved minerals which cloud the po pool l. He said he is familiar with this problem and will work us to address it. In regards to that we are now considering a sand filter instead of a fabric filter, based on Jaime's suggestion. By installing a sand filter we will elominate the monthly cleaning of our fabric filter, which does only a fair job, and which will produce a cleaner result. We appreciated the suggestion and will likely transfer to the new filter system. Jaime also said there is no need to purchase an expensive water filter system since the sand filter will replace that equipment as well. All good advice. Jaime's business is in Desert Hot Springs which is good so if we have a question he is close. We look forward to working with Jaime and Sundance Pools.

I tried to address this with Gustavo, and he just said--turn up your pump--which I did, but it did not help. I tried to call Jose, but he didn't return my call. The last time Gustavo came, I tried to bring up the algae again, but he got an attitude, said I quit and walked off the job leaving the gate wide open and leaving me with a green pool on 4th of July weekend, with the grandkids coming. Not very professional. I finally talked with Jose after that incident, and he told me that they had stopped shocking the pools during COVID because of the prices, and he suspected that was the reason for the algae. He did recently increased his prices--which was not an issue for us--it's about quality--but it still doesn't include shocking. Gustavo never informed me that they were not shocking the pool and didn't even offer it as a cost add on. The owners told us they left us their equipment. When we took possession of the house the long handled pool skimmer was gone and the pool sweeper was different than the one the previous owners used and it didn't work well. Patrick convinced me that he could get me a good deal on a new pool sweeper and leaf guard, said it would run about $800.00 and I needed to give him cash. I trusted him. Once the new equipment arrived we googled the equipment and realized we had been taken. Patrick charged us $800.00 for $400.00-500.00 worth of equipment. When we confronted Patrick and asked for some money back he hung up the phone on us. We have never owned a pool and deferred to Patrick only to get burned. One time he came and went without vacuuming the pool. I watched him come and go. The pool had leaves and things in the water when he came and it was still there when he left. When I asked him about it he said he had vacuumed the pool, but he hadn't. I saw his visit. So we called a new pool service. The new service inspected the pool and explained that the reason the sides of our pool were so dirty was because no one was using a brush on it. It wasn't being cleaned properly. Plus, there was a chemical imbalance, and it had gone on so long that the chemistry could not be corrected. The recommendation was to drain the pool. BEWARE Patrick is a fast talker and bragged about how honest he is and how he will take care of everything. I feel completely violated.
