We had hired them to do 3 pools. One pool, at our residence in BDCC and the other 2, in La Quinta. They started on 2/23/26, at 7.20am, at our residence and after they came 2/26 at the same time, I asked them to make it later as it was just as I was getting up and ready for work and it was invasive. They said that might not be convenient and would let me know. On Sun 3/1 at 5.30pm, I rec'd this letter: "Hello, It won't be possible to change the route. I apologize but you will need to find another company for all three pools . At Martinez you have too many cracks in the pool and per Mauricio pool looses too much water and will make us use a lot more chemicals. Sorry for this but I can no longer help". I'd told them that the filter had been replaced on 2/27 and the water hadn't been on and I would have helped on any extra chemical expense. I'd told them the situation with the filter when they started. But she didn't bother asking and just left me stranded.So they behaved in a very inconsiderate and unprofessional manner. And, they misdiagnosed what was going on with a pool. If everything is simple, and they can do it their way , they're probably fine but their priority is themselves, not the customer. read more

I must share with you all my wonderful experiences with M&M Pools. I've been working with them for about a year now they are extremely reliable, reasonably priced professional, and just nice folks. We walked into our newly purchased house to see a pool that we weren't expecting. M&M's Pool Service personally came over to look at the pool before giving an estimate. They took care and pride in giving a fair and reasonable quote based on our needs. I appreciated that their process included an in-person evaluation rather than a general quote. They took care of cleaning, removing the calcium along the tile, a calcium wash, replaced all filters, and got the pool and spa to a condition better than we had expected. They're now our weekly pool maintenance company, coming 2x per week. This is the first time we've owned a pool, and have called them with questions about operating the equipment. We were always having problems with our pool and spa breaking down and our technician wouldn't always show up. We switched to M&M Pools several years ago and we couldn't be happier. My introduction to Mauricio was a tad bittersweet. You see, we have used the same pool service for at least seven years. A recent issue with our pump NOT priming arose, resulting in our pool being off limits for a week. (The pump is not even two years old) Our old guy kept putting us off day after day, our kids were aching to swim with this heat. I was about to blow my stack, "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"....FINALLY, I pulled the trigger on Mauricio coming out. He diagnosed and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Leading up, he was extremely quick in responding to my email inquiries. I know, "they all do that initially". Let's hope it continues because he fed me some information on our pool that I did not know. I can also yammer back and forth in English or Spanish. I hired him on the spot, as he was here on the last day of the month. This allowed for the perfect segue. Today will be Mauricio's first official visit, my stress level just dropped like a lead weight. In these times, we already are a little on edge. The first 2 weeks of service my pool went disgustingly green because they "thought" it was a salt water pool. It wasn't. Each cleaning does not include brushing the pebble which made more algae grow. Lastly we have them empty pool and sand blast the all the algae they let accumulate and they sand blasted my tile. Ruining the tiles. They replaced my filters with some cheap off brand ones and now that's not working correctly! I'm seriously considering small claims court because Mauricio will not stand behind his work. Instead he lies as if you must be an idiot. Do not hire this company unless you want to swim with algae. read more

Our pool service technician retired after over 20 years. We tried to replace him and subsequently hired three different pool service companies over a period of 6 months. All of them failed for various reasons. (Took shortcuts, didn't check pool chemistry, wouldn't repair grout in tile spillway, used our pool's vacuum system instead of his, etc.) They all followed the same pattern...."brush and go." No vacuum, no chemistry, spent five minutes maximum at pool then left. Then we found M&M Pool Service and a very competent and thorough technician (Francisco.) I had the same pool service for 10 years with lots of problems, black algae, and the guy was here for 10 minutes tops. He was a really nice guy, but I couldn't put up with it anymore. I went on YELP and called Mauricio at M&M. He came out the same day and gave me a quote. He really knows his business. My pool maintenance man is great and does a wonderful job. My pool never looked better. And Mauricio is a master of knowing how pools work and how to repair them when necessary. When I text, e-mail, or call, I get immediate attention.
