Jaden from Pool Technicians came out today to look at two issues I was having with my pool: 1) the lack of any pressure from the jets in the adjacent hot tub and 2) a salt cell chlorinator that was not working. I thought both were going to be major issues. I thought I needed an additional pump for the hot tub. And I thought the salt cell chlorinator would need at least a new motherboard, if not a complete replacement. Jaden did about 10 minutes of poking around and told me that 1) the pump issue was simply being caused by a rock that was jammed into one of the pumps, likely from the construction stage and 2) the salt cell was not receiving power because a previous (another company) technicians rewired it to a non-functional part of my panel. So, after an hour, I had fully functioning jets in the hot tub. A functional salt cell. And he even got my pool lights working. (I had never been able to use them and had given it up). So can't recommend this company and Jaden specifically any more highly. read more

Jadon has come out to my property twice nice to assist me with some leaks in my pool pump system. He is a wealth of knowledge and he explains everything thoroughly on how he is addressing the issue and how I can maintain the system in the future. This is extremely important to be as I clean and maintain my salt water pool on my own without a pool maintenance company. Our mid-90's FiberStars fiber optic pool lighting system failed completely a few months ago. I checked with several pool repair companies. Most of them said they had never seen such a system and would try to fix it, but it might require jackhammering up the concrete deck to install an entirely new lighting system. But then Pool Technicians sent out Jadon, who very calmly and confidently told me that he had done the switch from fiber optic to LED on several other pools, that it should be an easy job, but that if he did run into complications, we would discuss options before taking any action. He was right: the job was easy and fast: really just one morning, no fuss and no muss, and the pool was operational again after it was refilled the next day. In addition, dealing with Stephanie in the office, and Gilbert, who did some minor tile work while the pool was empty, was great. Everyone involved seemed very focused on doing the job well and making sure I was informed and happy, and the price was in line with other proposals. I can see why Pool Technicians gets such high customer ratings, and I'm to give them my well-deserved 5-stars, too. They will be my pool repair company going forward. read more

Another 5-star review for Pool Technicians! The company that we use for our weekly pool cleaning/service told us they discovered a leak in our tank. Without giving us other options, they said it was going to cost between $2,200-$2,500 to replace. I wanted to get a second opinion and luckily found Pool Technicians here on Yelp- I called and explained the situation and told them the quote that was given to us. The woman on the phone gasped and said for the same parts + labor it would be $1,750, and that's even if they needed to replace the tank-but would see if there was anything they could do to repair before having to do a full replacement. She scheduled for a tech to come by and although the tank did need a full replacement, the cost was what she said it was going to be- no hidden fees, no extra charges, nothing. BELIEVE ALL THE AWESOME REVIEWS! I just moved to a new house in cathedral city and could not figure out how to get my spa working correctly. Not to mention there was an issue with the spa water level when the pool pump was off. The board for the equipment was not programmed or running correctly either. Anyhow suffice to say I am overjoyed with my spa now. Jaden was able to correct the spa water issue as it was missing some sort of trigger valve I think. Replaced the board with one they had in stock and programmed it correctly and showed me how to use it on my phone. We would not trust anyone else with issues with our pool. We have used them for several years and they always do a GREAT job diagnosing problems and repairing them. Always honest and fair. Just had our pool drained and cleaned by Toots. One of the very few companies that uses calcium to clean the tiles and not glass beads which can damage the tiles. They keep to the schedule they set and always call when they are on their way. And so patient with all the questions we ask! read more

The bottom line is Pool Technicians were very responsive and fixed the problem on the first visit for a reasonable price. The problem I had was a broken water pipe union between my pool filter and heater. I sent a text with a picture of the failing part and Pool Technicians dispatched John, the technician, the following day with the correct parts. John did a perfect job, replacing a section of the piping and the union. He painted everything so you would never know it happened and he tested the whole system to ensure there were no leaks. I would recommend Pool Technicians for any pool maintenance issues. read more

Our regular pool service noticed that the salt cell was without power, the fuse was melted, and recommended Pool Technicians for the repairs. Jadon arrived promptly as scheduled by the office, and called ahead as promised. he quickly diagnosed the cause, salt cell clogged with calcium build-up, which caused the wiring to overheat. He showed us how to clean ( not their typical scope of work ) with a dilution of Muriatic Acid and Water, replaced the fuse with an inexpensive ( old fashioned car fuse ) and offered to stop by again at the end of the day on his way back to their shop to check on the cell and the wiring. He also checked the salt level in the pool, and gave us great advice about how we can better maintain the system. Could not be happier with the work and reasonable pricing. read more

Perfect service. I worked with Jay to resolve a pool heater issue with a vacation rental that I have in Palm Springs. It was fixed quickly and efficiently and with some great advise...leave the equipment repairs to the specialists, not your pool maintenance people.
