First time trying since it opened. Had heard good things but it unfortunately did not live up to expectations. There was poor service with Staff not bringing enough plates or utensils for the table. They also did not refill water and only give a small cup. The food itself was really oily and I found it hard not to finish without feeling sick of the food. I really wanted to love the restaurant because these are some of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, but it really did not live up to par.
Wife ordered bbh and I ordered com tam. Food is well presented but lacks overall taste. Not impressed with my com tam dish. Soup is trash. Pork chop was good. Egg cake bland. Pork rib i didn't even bother finishing. Veggies aren't pickled well or at all. They gave me a fork with no knife to cut my meats. Lap suong was not savory and too soft. Would not return...
We came on Sunday morning which was a bad idea. Crowded. Hosts and servers were great and super friendly. Quick wait for seating. Food came out fast. Due to the busyness, it was hard to get the staffs attention. No one check on us once we got the food. We were family of 4 but we were only given 1 set of utensils for rice plate. And 1 set for bun bo hue. We did order banh Khot, and 2 dishes of Oc. My kids ended up using their hand to eat the noddles . Banh Khot is good and Cha Trung is good too. The rest of the meat items seem like they precooked, not fresh made per order. Overall the place is okay.
This place is inside Hong Kong city mall. The restaurant is a pretty good size and can fit a good amount of people. The atmosphere had nice decor and looked up to date.. I'm not sure how busy this place gets but when I went it wasn't. I went during their promo which had a good price for their food and a free sugar cane drink. I tried the bun Bo hue. Which I thought was mid. It had some flavors but I don't think I got that authentic spicy flavor of a bun Bo hue. The portion was also kinda small compared to some other places.. but it's still an average size. I'd give it 3 stars. I also tried their snail dish, Obtuse Horn Cooked With Coconut Juice. The soup was solid, and the snail reminded me of a clam. It was a bit hard to get out of the shell even with the stick, it's better to just suck it out. I tried their Vietnamese salted coffee drink and it was strong on the coffee. It tasted decent you don't get the fresh flavor of coffee but you do get the strong flavor. It still hits but I barely could taste the salted part and the creaminess didn't mix up well with the straw. I'd give it 3 stars. The sugarcane drink is a little different I t's freshly made and, if you've never had it before, it tastes like a very sweet lemonade without the sourness. I don't know if I like it though, 1 star just because I probably don't like sugarcane drinks.
The service was disappointing. My wife and I waited a few minutes just to be acknowledged, and a family that came in after us was given menus before we were. The staff also seemed unhappy and unwelcoming. The bun bo hue was consistently too bland for my taste, even after my third visit. The com tam was okay, but the fish sauce was not very good. I hope Bui Quan can improve both the service and the seasoning because the food has potential.
Found out they have complimentary of sugarcane drink for the month of March and the place just expand to a bigger place. The restaurant has nice ambiance, friendly staffs and fast service. The bowl is big too for $13.50 that's a good price.
Heard so much about this place on social media for having one of the best Bún Bò Huế, and you know me--I love BBH, so of course I had to try it. We came for Sunday lunch and the restaurant was really busy, but there was no wait. The staff were very friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. I love the decorations in there really Hue, I forgot to took picture lol. I ordered the regular Bún Bò Huế (without oxtail). It came with everything a good BBH should have, but what really surprised me was the crab cake. I have never seen a restaurant include this, and it's actually the real Vietnamese way. I clearly remember eating BBH in Vietnam and it always came with crab cake, but this is the only place I've seen do it here. I was genuinely impressed. It also came with a dipping sauce, which I believe is a mix of shrimp paste, minced lemongrass, a little oil, and kumquat juice. It was so good and completely changed my mind--I never thought BBH needed a dipping sauce, but this one works perfectly. The BBH itself was piping hot and full of flavor. If you like your BBH more bold and salty like I do, you can ask for raw shrimp paste and add a bit in--highly recommend. Honestly, this place might be my #1 BBH spot so far. It has everything I want in a bowl of BBH, so hands down to Bụi Quán. My husband ordered the Bò Kho (Vietnamese beef stew), which is his favorite, so he's very strict with his opinion. He thought it was really good--flavorful, not too soupy. We asked for extra carrots and they were very generous. I tried it too and agreed--the flavor was there and the color looked great. Both dishes came with two full baskets of vegetables, and they definitely didn't skimp. I love that--it really reminded me of Vietnam. Service was great overall. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Before leaving, we grabbed a sugarcane juice. For $6, you get a pretty big cup--definitely worth it. It was refreshing, and I loved the slight sourness from the kumquat. Will definitely be back to try more dishes. Great food, good prices, and excellent service.
Great tasting Vietnamese food. The com tam dac biet was definitely worth the price. Restaurant was pretty clean when I came in to eat with my family. Mom got the bun Bo hue and she enjoyed it. Rice plate was full of meat and worth the price. Average Asian service, not the best but enough. I would definitely come back here for a meal again
Place is recently moved to bigger location next to Hong Kong market. Service can be better and more organized. Hopefully they will make slight changes and will be better. I went during lunch. Did not receive water until after food arrived. Broth is on lighter side. Chili is nice because it has lemongrass in it...which others don't. I would recommend for a quick lunch spot. However there are definitely better bun Bo hue spots around
We came in around noon on a saturday and the place was packed. I think they can accommodate about 100 diners. They mostly have tables for 4 with 4 or 5 tables for 6. We had to sign up for the wait list and were seated about 10 minutes later. It was little disappointing that they were out of oxtail and nước mắt atiso (artichoke tea) that early in the day. I like my bun bo hue broth to be on the spicy side so i wound up loading it up with extra fresh peppers and 4 scoops of ot sate. I think my brother would prefer the broth here because it is more subtle on the taste with less lemongrass. The wife gave the snails with butter garlic a big thumbs up.
Very friendly service! Love all their dishes and sugar cane juice! Will go back and try other dishes!
The food itself was good, the snails were especially tasty and well prepared. However, the service really brought the experience down. We weren't given any water until halfway through the meal, even after trying to flag someone down multiple times. Once the food was dropped off, no one came back to check on us at all. It's a shame, because the dishes had great flavor, but the lack of attention from the staff made it hard to fully enjoy the meal.

This is located at the end of the food court at Hong Kong market. It's been a while since we walked over there. We were pleasantly surprised that there is a restaurant open now. We were a little hungry and saw a lot of people queuing which is always a good sign. There was also a sign about free sugar cane drink that entice me.. hehehe. We checked in and were quickly seated. Lots of choices from noodles soup to snails to rice plates. We started with the snails with coconut juice. The end of the snails were already cut open so you just need to suck on the shell to eat it. The sauce was delicious! We would order this again although we wish there was a bit more snails. Next was the Super Bowl rice plates that had everything you want like grilled pork chops, sausage egg, steamed egg with a side of fish sauce. It is a big plate and good for sharing. On top of that, we got 2 sugar cane drinks for free. Sugar cane is freshly squeezed. Machine is located by the cashier. Can't miss it. You just have to purchase their $100 gift card and use it to pay for your meal. Any balance remaining can be used for a future meal. Fast service. Restaurant is ok with colorful walls. Casual. It's all about the food for us. :-) read more
I ordered to-go since they close at 5 PM, and everything was incredibly delicious! The best bánh khọt in town--crispy on the outside, soft and creamy with coconut milk inside, and topped with very fresh shrimp. They also gave me a generous amount of fresh vegetables, but I forgot to take a photo! The cơm tấm was very tasty as well, and I also tried their bún bò Huế (BBH)--also absolutely top-notch! Hopefully, I can visit and enjoy everything in-store next time I'm in Houston. Definitely worth a stop! read more

Inside of Hong Kong Market is a viet-Korean snack shop. There's bubble teas and sweets and Asian street snacks here. I couldn't help but noticed their display at the store window of the tornado fries and had to get one. The order came out several minutes later. It was made fresh and sprinkled with lots of powdered nacho cheese. Hmmm...nothing like some good fresh fries with cheese. Delicious. read more

Amazing Bun Bo and Bo Kho with authentic flavors, so well-balanced and rich, with a satisfying amount of protein that'd leave you craving for more. Seafood dishes were fantastic as well, super fresh and delish *chef kiss* The snacks and drinks are also top-notch. Service was fast. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. The space can be a little small, yet well-decorated with a cozy vibes. Highly recommended and definitely coming back for more! read more

New place in HK4, just grand opening this weekend I believe. Can't say much about it right now besides the nice decorations. I only tried a few items here, but will be back to try something else. Che trai cay sau rieng was good but very pricey ($7). Bo bia rolls themselves were delicious but I don't like the sauce that came with, too sweet for my taste. Will update the rating once I try some more dishes. Advice: the staff making drinks or desserts needs to wear gloves unless they don't touch the foods at all. I saw the girl using her barehand to place the lime slice into a cup of ice. read more
I been craving tornado potato for quite some time now and i was so shocked to find it here of all places! Bui Quan not only serves night market style food but they also have a big variety of milk teas, teas, and shaved ice! Their Bui milk tea was SOO good and creamy and their che(?) was some of the best ive had! The potato was crispy and delicious, it definitely could've gone without the cheese though. The employee who served us was really talkative and attentive. read more
I came 2 days in a row for the Hanoi Sausage. This time I got an order of Hanoi sausage with cheese also. The portions are way too small for $6 and $6.50 for the one with cheese. The one with cheese come with 5 balls and that is highway robbery. I will find another place to purchase the snack. If anyone knows where I can get them feel free to let me know. Service: Anh Thu was our waitress, very professional with knowledge of all menu items, other staffs are polite and was helpful. Ambiance : I love how The wall painted and the decorations around & inside was cool, remind me of streets in Sai Gon. However, the middle stage should be in different color for safety purposes ( an old man fell while walking in side as we were eating) They have TV. Big room for party/ booth/ table/ outdoor. Food: was bomb, flavorful, fresh and nice presentation. Will come back to try other stuffs. New dish ware and cutlery made me feel so so safe to eat. Drink: coffee was strong, tea was also too strong for me ( me personally), good flavor, 16 oz for $6 read more

Setting: Modern/Clean Food ordered: Vietnamese Ice Coffee (4.99$) - Great ratio of coffee to condense milk; bitter taste but overpriced for the cup. Artichoke tea (Free with orders over 20$ promotion but regular price 4.50$) - MUST try! Best artichoke tea in town but overprice for the size. Ha Noi pork skewers (6.00$ for 2 skewers) - well seasoned; garlic sauce is a must try! But overpriced for 2 skewers. Cut chien bo (Butter quail) (9.50$ for 4 pieces) - Well seasoned; pickled vegetable served with lemon pepper and salt . Fair price. Chicken gizzard with garlic sauce (6.50$) - Well seasoned; garlic sauce is a must try. Overall: Food is well-seasoned but overpriced due to its portion-size. Service: Great read more

If there its a negative stars I will give then -1 . We saw the flyer on the flyer any order $20 will get a free drink . We bought pre-mix rice paper worth over $30 . But they won't give us the deal because they said it has to be anything on the menu's .. anything on the counter pre- cooked they sell for someone else , its not from them . Wow big applause for them to have big heart that they sell for someone else without any interest.. but we know its not .. read more

I love to try new places and different foods, but this place was a huge disappointment. The owner and worker is nice. I got the fried Hanoi sausage and as you see in the picture, portion is SMALL! All i taste is batter and no meat what so ever. The restaurant is cute and decorated like in Vietnam with low chairs and tables. They are in their soft opening phase. Hope they fix their prices and portions soon because it has potential. read more
