I loved that there was such a great burger place so close to UIC campus. It was the best food to have after exhausting exams. My friends and I would order a burger, fries, and a shake each, and we would be completely stuffed even before we could finish all the food. I think that you really get your money's worth in that sense. I usually get the fish burger and spotted cow shake, and I definitely recommend trying both because they're delicious. Now that I've graduated, I really miss coming here because I live in the suburbs away from the city, but I definitely want to visit again someday. read more

Staff didn't help with my questions. Came in one night for burgers and was the last customer before closing. Came in during the Weekday Lunch Hour with my Boyfriend. The place is very tight in the front, I can't imagine what it'd be like with a rush of customers. Thankfully we didn't experience any kind of traffic jams and ordering was actually quick and easy! The atmosphere is modern and tight, it's a fast food joint. The staff seemed pretty hectic and unengaging and again I kind of understand considering it's fast food. No complaints, the food was good. Nothing spectacular, I will say that the sauce was definitely a game changer! See for yourself! It was my first time coming here. It's incredibly close by UIC and it's a cute little corner restaurant that produces delicious burger fast. What's not to like? I would say it is indeed a trendy and cheap place, perfect for your typical "broke college students". I don't have much complaints about this place at all. Burger is great, juicy, and still hot when you get it. Though the lettuce is definitely not proportional to the burger. So the food is good, I really like it but, I have a problem with one of their policies. You see they offer discounts for first responders but, they exclude registered nurses. Believe me the 10% discount means nothing, it's really the principle. If I were dining at Busy Burger and an employee or patron of the establishment suddenly collapsed, I am perfectly capable of administering life-saving treatment, while equiped paramedics arrive. Needless to say, I haven't been there in months and neither have many of my fellow Cook County Health nurses. While walking on the street I found this place. They have a unique exterior design. It was inviting so I grabbed the opportunity to enter and try their food. I'm amazed at the cleanliness of this place. Aside from having a clean floor outside they also have a clean floor inside. Some staff greeted me and welcomed me. I ordered 2 burgers and a cookie and cream shake. After I paid for it, I decided to sit in an outdoor diner. While waiting I enjoy the view outside. It's too loud here since there are cars and people passing by. But also at the same time it is relaxing because of the fresh air. Then my order came. I've seen this place transform over the years. It looks 100 times better now then it did 3 years ago. The service is great and I like the "feel" of the place every time I go inside. They did a great job with the decor. Anyways, I got the fish sandwich with spicy jalapenos (55 cents extra) and I loved it. The onion rings are descent too. You get 15% off if you're a student and the first time I came here, the cashier saw me with my backpack and I had a college hoodie on but he didn't bring up the 15% off. Later as I was walking around, I saw the sign and told him "I didn't know I get 15% off" and he said "O sorry man, next time for sure". I read some other reviews on here where the cashier fails to ask follow up questions like these... someone should train them too. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. I finally got to try Busy Burger! I must say, I was definitely surprised by how good the burger was. My classmates and I agreed that the bun was really good and the sauce they put on the burger is different and very good. It has a little punch to it and compliments the meat and bun really well. They have indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. The menu has options to satisfy different palates/diets. For a local burger place next to a university, they are kind of expensive. They do offer a discount for students, but it is still kind of on the upper side for a burger. I didn't even get fries. (Broke college student problems...) I always end up going here because bae absolutely LOVES this place. I like their beef burgers, they're fine, and their portobello mushroom sandwich is good, but I never had an "oh my god" moment until I tried their turkey burger, which I think should be their shining star. It is moist, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned; their turkey burger definitely needs some recognition. I now definitely know what I want to get when I go next time! Busy Burger is a gem for the carnivore. Everything is freshly made, including the fries, which are great. They'll grill a hotdog for you, but the real secret here is the veggie/mushroom burger. It is very good, especially when you "run it through the garden" (translated to put everything on it). Karma bonus is that it is vegetarian AND you can eat it on Fridays (fellow Roman Catholics who try to adhere to the rules know what I'm writing about) during lent. A far better option to McD's filet-o-fish or Subway's tuna sandwich. IMHO. Onion rings are a good option if you are not on a date (or you're really lucky and your date digs onions, too). Finally, with the incredibly nice weather, they've already put the tables outside.
