This is a really interesting place. It's located in the Trader Joe/Winco shopping center. Kind of tucked in and could be easily missed if you weren't looking for it. There's plenty of parking so that shouldn't be a problem. They have a patio outside so I'd presume they are dog friendly. They have wired in over head heaters that looked tempting to sit outside. Being about 6pm we decided we'd be more warm sitting inside. When you walk in its a stand up order fashion. They have dish description menus over head. And you can see the selections in front of you behind the glass. Some tempting and some not so... I went with the tri tip steak bowl, brown rice and butter nut squash. It also came with a chimichurri sauce. Unlike traditional bowls where the meat is cut in somewhat large pieces their style is to cut it small pieces. So what happens is the meat was in well done chunks or medium rare chunks. I like it all in one for me. The other issue is had was the food was just barely warm when it came to me. It was ok...but I wouldn't order that plate again. My wife ordered the chicken curry with white rice and roasted vegetables. She loved it, and I tried it and I wanted to trade....hers was definitely good! They have local Temecula Valley wine from Robert Renzoni and Leoness Cellars.....I like that. They also have filtered water and serve yourself cups at the end of the room. Also in the same area is your silverware, napkins and doggie bag boxes...so after they bring your meal that's the last you will see of the waitstaff until they come for your dishes. I would come back and try some more for sure. I rate them at a 3.5 stars and I'm rounding up to a 4 star. The restaurant was clean and well lighted. read more

Normally love this place, but today it felt very crazy. Place an order to go they said it would be about 20 mins because they had a lot of online orders, after little over 30 mins of waiting went up to ask about our order because we had to go and they said someone took it . This is so frustrating cause we had to go and could not wait to place a new order. They gave a refund but know other compensation for the inconvenience. Understand mistakes happen but they literally said sorry this happens all the time with pick ups. Need to find a better system then read more

This place got an awesome feeling to it and made us come here more often even if it was my time in town for just a day or more. we came here and never been disappointed. We ordered food to go and the woman at the cash register was incredibly kind and approachable. She was quick with our order and when we decided to try one of their gluten free cookies, she gave us an extra, which was awesome! Totally coming back! For our first time there we got a short rib bowl , Thai curry chicken bowl and a small side of sweet potato fries, to go. The food here is awesome! Everything tastes very fresh and healthy. They have some unique items on the menu as well. I used to practically crave their salmon every time that we drive by their location. We love Bushfire Kitchen! It's great variety, quality and taste fantastic. Hands down one of the best burgers in Temecula. There are great drink choices besides the food as how great was the food. Had a take out out today, I would say for the price the food was not that good, it was acceptable. Salmon was fishy tasting, tri-tip was decent. Sides were okay a bit bland though. Empanada was okay ordered a chicken one no way was that chicken... would pass on that. Ceaser salad was decent lettuce was fresh would eat that again. Disclaimer: First time trying Bushfire, so this could be a one off experience. Positives: The French fires were delicious! My friends and I loved the fries especially that they were the highlight of the evening. The flavors are there in the foods like the Peri Peri Chicken plate and the Chimichurri Tri-Tip plate. Free refills are always a plus, and the chocolate chip cookie was gooey and delicious! And the best being the workers, so kind and sweet all of them were. Negatives: The staff seemed understaffed as our server (who was so nice and kind) was running back and fourth trying to bring out orders and take orders by himself. Again could have been a one off moment, but it seemed like if there was another worker, it could've helped. This is not a fault on the workers as I saw everyone busting their butts off, more so something management could consider if they aren't already actively looking to hire. But the main issue was the temperature of the food when it was brought out. Both our plates were cold which was so disappointing. Again the flavors were there, but our food was so cold that it took away much of the appeal and the potential of more flavor. Also to note, the focaccia was all around unappealing. No flavor and had little of the "proper texture" of focaccia. I would rate a 2.5 or 3 stars out of 5. I used to go here pre-covid and my husband loved it but I just didn't understand why. I recently came back for the first time on Thursday night and oh boy it has gotten so much better!! I had asked the sweet lady out front what her favorite thing to get was and she said the tri tip bowl with mashed potatoes.It is now my most favorite thing ever! Not only was the food great but the lady whom I asked her name "Faith" was bringing food out to tables was the sweetest worker ever. Her attitude was kind and gentle, cracking jokes with us and was at beck and call for my husband and I our whole stay. It's rare you find those kinds of workers. Outstanding freshly made food with a home cooked feel! The menu ranges from roasted chicken halves and BBQ brisket all the way to chicken or lamb curry. Their salads look wonderful too although I did not try them. When you walk in you get the feel that you are walking right up to the chef's bar, looking at everything on the menu that's already prepared and then saying "I think I'll take that chef." It's pretty great. No guessing as to what their food will look like or if it's fresh because it's right there and ready to go as soon as you walk in. It's also really cool that they use pots, pans, and casserole dishes just like you would find in your Mom's kitchen or at a church potluck. Nothing to fancy but makes you feel at home. Customer service is great and helpful as well. Overall a great experience and I look forward to coming back. P.S. they have craft sodas, freshly squeezed lemonade, and house made tropical ice tea. I loved it. Looking for something healthy earthy reminds me of home. I'm from the OC occasionally I come out to Temecula or Lake Elsinore area for work or family. Was killing some time and needed to stay strict on my diet, long story short this place DELIVERS. Hands down 10/10 hope they expand to the OC/LA Areas. Cause everyone down here is missing out!!! It's a VERY hot day and since half the tables are blocked off my husband and I decided to get our food to go instead of sitting outside and eating since the only tables available were burning hot. So we went inside to wait for our food and with our newborn mind you. She immediately was like you need to wait outside for your food meanwhile there's 2 guys sitting on the bench inside. Updating for their online delivery service, really spotty and orders are usually inaccurate. Also, don't bother putting in delivery instructions on their website as it won't get sent to their delivery service (door dash), and the managers will just blame Door Dash (even though it's their site where you actually input all the order info). Unless you go in person to place your order, check it in person, I wouldn't recommend ordering. Food is definitely good, overall service and how they handle issues with orders and their partnering services leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully they can improve this, may have to rely more and more on delivery, which will really highlight this issue. read more

I have heard great things about this place and was really excited to try it. However- as i walked in, i saw the food sitting out under a light and it didn't look fresh. I decided to still try it out as the reviews have been great. I got a salmon bowl. The taste was good but you could tell the veggies had been sitting out. I also got a lemonade which was very yummy. I got home and a few hours later starting throwing up and feeling awful. My husband had a different meal and he was fine so i'm not sure exactly what it was? maybe the veggies sitting out or the salmon? Probably won't be back. read more

We've had this place twice, first time was pretty good and second time was awful. Both the steak and chicken sandwiches we got (which we had last time) for some reason just had giant chunks of meat, it was not sliced as it's supposed to be (including how it's shown in menu pictures). It was difficult to eat and we didn't even finish it because we realized the chicken was undercooked I ordered normal fries and got sweet potato fries (which is normally fine but since we had so many issues it just added to it). They were also extremely salty. The mac and cheese was, for some reason, very spicy. I checked the menu and other reviews and it never said anything about it being prepared that way. We found a hair In the food that didn't match our hair color (not to mention I shave my head), and considering no one had hair nets when I picked up the food it made sense. I sent a message on their site when this happened three weeks ago (check #60, 5/28) and never heard back. I asked for a partial refund or something because I did want to give them another shot but considering all this, i will not be returning. read more

Bushfire will now be one of my go to spots. I had a meeting at my home office where my law firm gave each of us a gift card to order from Uber Eats. After I scoured through Uber Eat's application and their plethora of unhealthy options; I finally came across bushfire--and I am so glad I did. The menu options are quick and easy to navigate to on the bushfire portion of the application. I finally decided on two menu items--I needed two items because my law firm gave us such generous voucher for lunch--I chose the Salmon bowl with brown rice and brussel sprouts with an added portion of avocado, the second item was the Tri Tip plate with squash and rice. I will give you one word of advice...whatever you decide to eat...GET THE TERIYAKI sauce. THE TERIYAKI sauce is absolutely spectacular. I do not care if you get a vegan menu item, the salmon, the Tri-Tip it does NOT matter...the Teriyaki sauce will go great on anything. Meh at best. Today I was jonesing for a really good hamburger. Did a yelp search and these guys came up as #1 in Temecula. Not even close. Keep in mind, this is a $13 hamburger. The bun looks fancy. Taste is average. The burger looks like a store bought half pound patty. It was dry and pretty much flavorless. To be fair the french fries and sweet potato fries (my wife had) were very good. The order also took 45 minutes. 15 minutes longer than they told me it would take when I ordered. In and Out and Five Guys are both better at half the price or less and it doesn't take 45 minutes. It started with promise. The menu sang of gluten free, healthful organic goodness, rousing flavors, good smells, beautiful food presented behind tiny, glassed in cases. Huge golden chickens, rotisseried, stews with gourmet gravy, the smell of oriental curries, gorgeous salads, house made potato chips. Yelpers said, "Do this!" So we did. Seating could be problematic. Indoor dining is small and really conducive to group seating only if you come at the right time and squish some of the tables together, with bench seating on one side of the tables, chairs on the other. That worked best for our group of 6 plus two children, as tight as it was. The remainder of options were patio dining consisting of tall tables with bar stool height chairs. And then there were the umbrella'd patio tables outside and unmovable chairs that were set into the cement out front. Their house made chimichurri was outstanding. Salads - Caesar salad with large chunks of avocado. The quinoa, arugula and beet. Both were excellent. House made focaccia. Fresh out of the oven, it was tender and very tasty. Dip it in that chimichurri for an extra thrill! House made Potato chips - a nice touch and cooked perfectly for a crispy finish. Sweet potatoes, served in chunks, seasoned. Not bad, not the best. But their famous (?) main entrees failed completely. For all of us. Chicken - Apparently cooked and sitting in the heating trays for who knows how long, it was cooked far beyond the proper temperatures. Everything was dry-dry-dry. How can you ruin even a thigh and leg, anyway? But they did. And they, without guilt, still served it. They had no excuses, there were freshly cooked chickens coming off the grill/rotisserie that should have been served instead. Meanwhile, the seasoned skin was excellent. But that far from makes up for what they did to that poor free-range chicken. Ribs - How long do you have to bbq baby back ribs to get them into a dried state? They discovered the answer. One of the ribs was petrified. Again, plated without a second thought. Really? Mac 'n Cheese - a very small serving for the price, the noodles on top were hard and tough and altogether not that cheesy tasting. Not at all what I envisioned based on the reviews of others. I want this location to go back the way it was before the pandemic. It's just kind of gone downhill over the last several years. I do go to Menifee and that is way better. The food quality. Tonight I ordered and my hamburger was burnt. They forgot to give me the teriyaki side for the salmon plate that I paid extra for. They also forgot the tapenade for the salmon.
