I finally made the trek before work. I had really been looking forward to trying this place since folks had mentioned it was a go to spot for breakfast burritos. As the name says it was pretty quick for me to get the burrito I ordered and the folks were friendly. As delicious flavor wise, as the burrito was, (I ordered the #4 which included chicharrón, beans, papas and green chile.) I was pretty bummed that for $13 I could count the amount of chicharrón in it on one hand. I didn't even really find any papas in it either. I was a little disappointed. Thai burritos we ordered them for work today and I got a vegetarian version which consisted of cheese, green Chile and potatoes! I would say the burrito #10 that I got was very delicious and careen Chile was on point and spicy just like any New Mexican likes it! The rest of my coworkers got meal burritos and all of them loved their options. Definitely a much better breakfast burrito option than regular fast food chains and from those around in this area. The service was great and speedy. The place seemed busy with hard workers that are attentive to customers orders and deliver high quality burritos. The place was welcoming and felt homey. Not ok to charge patrons double the cost for a burrito, that ALL other burritos offerings in Albuquerque charge less. I have paid $11 for a burrito the size of just slightly larger than a cracker from Burritos Alinsante, this is a disgrace and honestly the owner should feel ashamed to even be charging this way. I ordered the mini for almost $9 and holy moly guacamole! This was a disappointment. I've had their minis years before and never have they fit in the palm of my hand. Total rip off for $9. We ordered take-out close to when they closed so they were out of some things but we got a tamale smothered with red chile w/garnish - this specifically was a 10/10 for me. Super authentic, full of flavor, not dry and I was relieved my initial order was out because this was really filling. We enjoyed some delicious New Mexican food tonight thanks to the True ABQ promo. We've had their food at the State Fair before and always liked it, but we haven't eaten there in a while. I didn't want anything spicy so I ordered a burrito with chicken, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. It was really good - juicy chicken and fresh, crisp veggies. You can add chile, salsa, or pico de gallo if you want to spice yours up. My husband had the Alinstante plate with carne adovada, a tamale, beans, and rice, smothered in green chile and topped with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I managed to grab a couple of bites; the carne was flavorful with medium heat. The green chile was also flavorful but too hot for my preference. My husband loved it. It's so hard to find something fast in this area. Have tried this place twice now and have not been impressed. First time I ordered green Chile stew and the meat was low quality and reminded me of school cafeteria meat. I don't think there were potatoes in it or they were little old boiled potato pieces. I can't remember. Tried something else this time. Tacos. Ordered steak since the ground beef was not good last time. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be carne seca or what but it was extremely dry. Almost like reconstituted meat like someone had added a little water to some old dehydrated meat. Served in old el Paso taco shells. For $13, I really expected more. I will definitely not go back. We ordered a frito pie and #2 burrito with drinks. The frito pie came topped with ground beef, shredded cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and red chile. The red chili was not overly spicy and added to the flavor. My burrito was STUFFED & delicious. So flavorful!! I don't have a picture of my burrito because it smelled so good that I instantly devoured it!! I was glad to see that they can accommodate vegan since you can build your own. First let me start by saying I do enjoy Burritos Alinstante. I have gone here for years and will probably give it another chance. However, I have to ding them on three things. 1. Credit card only? The food here is really good and that's the main thing. I'm all about breakfast burritos and theirs is high in my list of local favorites. It's like if you took golden pride/the frontiers style but made it much much much better. All their burritos are great though and they give them to you with a paper towel like a Albuquerque homemade. In fact they taste very homemade. The downsides here are few. It's a little confusing to order the first time. You're supposed to drive up to the window directly which is unusual. The menu sign doesn't have a speaker, but then shouldn't it be closer to the window when you order? At least there could be some instructions. However once you've done it once you've got it. Over all they have lots of ways to order and pay but it's not clear how any of it works together so really my only complaint is I don't know all the best ways to get their awesome food. Go here. They are super close to were I work and it's always a hit or miss. I usually go through the drive through (which you will have to be very patient, not for you if you are in a rush). I usually get the chicharrón burrito. There are times where is so yummy and times where I feel I got the end of the barrel. I truly wish they were more consistent. read more

As for the food, I would say it's just so-so. Perfectly acceptable, but nothing that I'm going to make a big point of recommending to people.
