I have been to the Vamos Con Gloria food truck a few times, but this review is for their brick and mortar in downtown Albuquerque behind the courthouses. I didn't know they were there until one day, the sign caught my eye! It's completely carryout only. I was a bit disappointed to find that out but I planned a lunch there soon there after! I saw a few more things on the menu I didn't remember from the truck, burritos, I think it was! I went with what I remembered and opted for the tacos dorados and the sopes! They were just as good as before! There's plenty for sharing if you order the 6 or 12 pack, but I just opted for the 3 of each. Next time taco Tuesday comes around, give em all call and pick up them tacos! read more

We ordered via doordash and I'm so glad we did! Vamos con Gloria expertly packs their take-away boxes. They are neat, clean and labeled perfectly. I highly suggest ordering anything birria! The quesadilla was so flavorful and spicy, everything I wanted and craved. We also ordered the carne asada fries- I wish the fries were more fresh and crispy. This place has the most amazing fresh food and incredible customer service to go with it! I found this spot online and decided to try it, Suzie was friendly and very helpful. Honestly everything looked good with such reasonable prices so it was difficult to narrow down what I wanted to order. I went with the medium carne asada fries, it's always a win for me. The serving was huge, and not only that but Suzie added complimentary tacos and a sopa for me to try! I planned to save some for the next day but it was all so tasty I ended up eating everything that night. Without a doubt, I will be back next time I'm in ABQ. First time trying this place and it was pretty good. I got the Tacos Dorados Gloria which has bean and beef and these were super tasty! I also got the fidoes which I loved. Lastly I tried the gorditas chicharron. I'm used to having my chicharrone with meat and a little bit of fat and these ones are all fat. They reminded me of tripe in Menudo, so it wasn't my favorite. I didn't know different areas made their chicharrones different! Such a fun find! I'm really glad to know they're downtown. This is a really great spot if you want a bulk amount of tacos, we ordered 12 of the birria and 4 of the asada. She threw in two of the Gloria special which was asada with beans and red chile, honestly those were my favorite and what I'd get in the future. We tried two of the agua frescas, including the Jamaica which is my favorite and a pina. Both were very good. The spot is walk in only, you order and go. Wasn't a problem for me as I wanted to get take out anyways. Parking was easy, they were the only business in the area open around 5pm so lots of parking was available. read more

This is such a cute little place! It's a family owned restaurant. They started as a food truck a few years back and most places when they go from food truck to restaurant they kinda lose some quality to the food but not them. This is the BESSTTTTT tacos, carne asada fries, salsas and aguadilla fresca i've EVER tried in the United States!!!!! It is so hard to find good authentic mexican food in New Mexico, and this spot is IT!!! The staff is so amazingly friendly and sweet, they even gave me extra tacos to try the rest of the menu (for free??), and MAN DID IT HIT! Gave this place a try we got some asada taco with pico and some with cabbage, honestly I prefer the pico but they were both good. The food is made to order but made quickly so the wait isn't too bad. It is takeout only no seating no dine in at all. Which is kind of a bummer but the food is still good. Got there about 5:30 there was no wait. The best tacos in Albuquerque! Local family-owned and the service is always amazing! My favorites right now are the tacos de birria and agua de jamaica (sweetened hibiscus tea). It is take-out only and since the tacos dorados are fried until crispy and crunchy they hold up very well, including the birria tacos. I appreciate that they are always packaged very thoughtfully with labels and wax paper to separate different types. Omg these tacos Are the bomb. So they were outside an elite event and I live the hard tacos. So You can order the 12 hard tacos or ask for a half order. Make sure to put pico on it!! Along with a lot of other Yelpers, I was lucky enough to try the food at Vamos Con Gloria food truck while I was at an event at the Thirsty Eye Brewery. I enjoyed two tacos, one bean and one beef. Both were delicious. They were served with sides of red and green chile. There was a little kick to the heat, but I think that was from chunks of jalapenos in the topping? In any case, I really liked them. The shells were crispy and cooked just right. I asked where I could find them. They post their location on Instagram, but I think they also are found at Thirsty Eye or down the street on Broadway on a fairly regular schedule I will make a point of looking them up when I'm in the mood for some good crispy tacos! read more

I do wish the gorditas were made out of maiz and not harina, they got too soggy before I even got home to eat them. I want to start off by saying that this has to be one of the most unique taco restaurants in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You can truly taste the uniqueness and authenticity of Mexican tacos here. Having traveled extensively across Mexico and sampled tacos from taquerías to Michelin-starred restaurants, I can confidently say that this is one of the most unique styles of tacos I've ever experienced. It offers Michelin-star quality at a taquería price. I was incredibly impressed by the quick service and the friendly server. Despite the high quality of the food, it was surprisingly affordable. If you have any doubts, I highly recommend trying this family-owned, local restaurant here in Albuquerque. The Carne Asada fries were cooked to perfection. The sauce was incredibly tasty, and the Asada was satisfyingly filling. The Carne Asada taco with pico de gallo offered an extremely unique blend of flavors. The tortilla shell was fried to perfection. If there's one recently opened place in Albuquerque that I would recommend, it would have to be this restaurant. Another great food truck in Abq. Tonight they were at Thirsty Eye Brewing for a Yelp Elite event. We ordered the tacos, Gordita de Asada, and sopes de frijoles. All of it was delicious and flavorful. The tacos were crispy and delicious. The sopes de frijoles came with six to an order, which was a lot. The prices are really reasonable, and you get a lot of food. Oh my gosh, where to start? I ordered the tacos, both asada (meat) and and frijole (beans) because I couldn't decide... I saw other people filling their face and everything looked good. I also ordered the Gordita de Chicharrón because oh my chicharrones I love, love, LOVE this crisped to perfection chewy pork belly!! It's a slam dunk to catch 'em when & wherever you can. And those little tacos are so darn cute, all stacked and stuffed full of beans/meat, veggie matter, and cheezoid crumbles. The corn tortilla outers are fried to a serious crunchy state. So a bit of a demerit since they get pretty messy to eat. (You've been warned!!) Interestingly, the spicy bite of their green salsa was initially sharp on the tongue, then faded slowly away. But the burn in the belly smouldered on for a lot longer. Fun stuff! Decided to try this place as it came highly recommended. Let's just say that I am disappointed I didn't find it sooner. For starters the service at the counter was fabulous. We were explained the menu and sizing in great detail since this was our first time. Overall a super friendly encounter that you don't always get nowadays. The food was out of this world! I had the carne asada tacos and they were plentiful with the meat, the corn tortillas were homemade and the salsa tasted great and had just the right amount of heat. I also ordered the fideos and they were perfect. The prices were also very reasonable which is also becoming harder and harder to come by nowadays. This is going to be our new go to spot. read more
