I don't give 5 stars - as the Brit's would say ... 'all willy-nilly' ... I try to be judicious and honest. I moved my kids to South Weber back in the 80's. I moved on later to Salt Lake, Oregon, and now Arizona. I'm a foodie, and not easily impressed by a burger and fries. Slow Bar in Portland did it. They made their own bun, house made ketchup, house pickle, fresh cut fries, fresh ground beef. Amazing. I have to admit, I wasn't very hungry, but the kids wanted to bring their family up for a Burly Burger. I tasted one and was blown away! But that's not this review. Chicken strips. Everyone does them. Often they're way too big and over cooked, more like eating salty cardboard. These were big, but perfectly seasoned, breaded, and cooked. Juicy. I mean perfect;y cooked and still juicy and tender! I told my family these were the best chicken strips I had ever tasted in my life. I don't know what kind of voodoo you do do, but I will be back. Hopefully multiple times. I want a burger, everyone raved. But I really want your chicken strips again and again and again! Let me add as well... the French fries were perfection! Wow! I'll say it again WOW!! This burger was amazing. You have to start out with a great base to make a great burger. A Brisket Chuck Beef patty. Then you add Pepper Jack Cheese. Spread on your secret sauce. Finish it off with a Buttery Bun. That's all you need when you have a great Beef Patty. Amazing. If you want to add their different ingredients you can but for me that's all I need when the beef patty is made with Brisket and Chuck meat. Service was friendly. Neat ambiance. Clean restrooms. You can see right in the kitchen. Clean and well staffed for fast service. Go and get you some. Enjoy! Great t-shirts too. Get a couple stickers. read more

This is such a solid burger spot. Came here after skiing Snowbasin. The Mr. T Burger was delish. The pastrami is great. The bun is fun, a light bun with a burned logo mark on top. It's all tight and grippable. The fries were great, as were sweet potato, and the cheese curds are fun. The Reese malt burly shake is seriously massive but a lot of fun! We were four people and that was still a lot, so I would get the smaller size. Reese was a good choice from the cashier. read more

I had the one burger that had a hot dog on it. I was skeptical at first but it actually tasted amazing. I want to go back and try some more.

Had driven by this place many times and finally decided to take the family for a late lunch on Saturday. And even at 2PM on a Saturday it was really quite crowded. That's a good sign! Had to stake out a table once we placed our order waiting for others to leave before we sat. We ordered a little of everything as it was our first time. The sides, Onion rings 5/5, Fries 5/5, Mozzarella sticks undercooked 3/5, cheese curds 4/5. Burly sauce (fry sauce) was good, had a slight BBQ tint. The Farley Burly burger topped with buffalo chicken strips, lettuce, and blue cheese dressing. The flavor was really good, but this was a lot of burger with the patty and strips. Still pretty good. Cobb Salad, pretty but hard to mix and just okay. Kids had two classic burgers that were really good. The buns had a Burly brand toasted onto them which is fun. My only complaint is I thought the bun was a little dry and not as fresh as I like. A good bun is a must on a good burger. My kids had the shakes and wow, they were over the top, and loaded with topings. They really liked the shakes. Cookie dough x2 and Oreo. read more

Been pre-COVID since last here, but my lunch experience yesterday was almost literally that 80s Where's The Beef commercial. This is the $12+tax Classic burger combo: The "1/3-pound fresh ground brisket" patty must have so much fat in it cook off that it shrank to fill only 2/3 of the bun. The tattooed bun is better than I remember. And the patty itself tasted good, yes, but where. was. the. burliness. in. this. burger?! Plus only ONE tomato slice that didn't even cover the patty, let alone the bun. They forgot the pickles I requested, though they did remember the grilled onions. (Onion portion was very small, too.) Burly Burger may be a better fit if you think the extra ingredients of the $13.50+ named-burger combos make them more burly for the cost/value. But it seems to me if the Classic Burger isn't good nor burly enough for the same cost to beat a Crown Pastrami Burger, then I'm going to stick to the latter. Because both places have tasty battered fries and fry sauce it's gotta be about the burger! read more

They have fun and unique topping combinations that are full of flavor. The sweet potato fries are a must. Adorning the walls are some classic quotes and jokes from the great Chris Farley. This is such a hidden gem! Located in South Weber, you really wouldn't think there would be such a good burger place. We got The Duke with battered fries and The Paul Bunyan with a full sized sweet potato fries. Both were amazingly a 10/10. What I really love about this place is how friendly their customer service was, how clean this place was, and how delicious the food was. They also provided a list of free add-ons you can add to your burgers like grilled onions, peppers, etc. There was plenty of parking and the location was easy to find. Once you enter the place, the menu is on the right wall and to the right of the register. So naturally you'll be walking towards the right and then ordering from there. The flow of the place was easy which made customers like me like the organization and thought out layout. The one thing I wish I got was a shake because I saw a few tables getting them even though it was a snowy cold day. That's okay because I'll be back soon to get their shake! I was ripped off Very disappointed, I went there to get a shake after reading a review saying they offer an extra large size. I was charged almost 8 dollars and they gave me a medium size shake but they put the medium cup into a large cup. Said something about drizzle on the the cup and it wasn't over the top at all, as mentioned in the review. What a scam. I totally feel ripped off. I rate this place a 10/10. The burger was so delicious. I usually like my patty cooked well done but silly me didn't read the menu up at the top where it says that they usually cook their burgers to a little pink in the middle. Don't be like me and not ask for well done if you like your burger well done. To my surprise, the patty was so delicious. I get a bit grossed out whenever I see pink but for some reason this time was different. The environment of this place also gets a 10/10. They have music playing but not to the point where it's really loud and can't hear the person in front of you talking. The cashier was very nice and friendly. The cashier gives you a number and when your food is ready they will call out your number and bring you your food. I thought that was going above and beyond!!! If you do try this place please try their burly shakes. You can thank me later! We tried the cheesecake and Oreo ones and both were so rich and good!!! foods flavor is good. service is horrible. staff messed up order than charged me again for something they messed up. also took 15 minute for one milkshake with no other orders in front of us. two classic burger combos should not cost 40 dollars. not including the 8 almost 9 dollars for the milkshake. Absolutely would NOT recommend to anyone purely because the staff member who helped us had no clue what she was doing. which is a shame because the food is good! read more

A funky local burger joint that is a must visit. There are so many different unique hamburgers that I had a tough time deciding which one I wanted. I finally went with the Paul Bunyan, and they sure load their hamburgers. Tasty fresh beef patty with all of the extra toppings you'd want. Went with a group of 9 and everyone was impressed at the burgers. The fries are thick cut and breaded and not soggy at all (one of my worst fears about ordering fries). And the shakes were loaded. I ordered a Reese's shake and was shocked at how many peanut butter cups were crammed into that shake. Extremely tasty. I will be coming back to try the other unique hamburgers! read more

We tried this restaurant based on the popular Yelp reviews. It was very busy even though it was after lunchtime. During the pandemic, they did not allow in the restaurant eating and all the tables were stacked up against the walls. They had several racks of T-shirts for sale adjacent to the order line which was quite long. Some people were wearing masks in line but several were not, and the 6-foot separation in line was hit or miss. I had preordered online so I just had to stop in and pay. Because the line was long, I asked at the counter if I could pick up and pay separately from the order line. They said no, but handed me my order and told me to get in line to pay. After about 7 minutes of standing in the tight line, I was able to pay. They said online that they had their burley sauce available for sale in bottles, but when I asked at the checkout, they didn't have any. I ordered the Swanson Burger which was a large charbroiled burger that came with a fried egg on it. It was tasty but super messy. Also, after an hour or so, the charbroiled taste lingered on. We also tried the fried cheese curds. They were greasy, but they were very tasty as well. The prices were a little high for what you get. read more

Been on a fish and chips kick. These guys were really pretty good! Not quite as a good slap fish (which can be hit or miss). Good batter and fish, both taste and textures, tartar was really goodamd homemade. Fries were battered and delicious, with really good fry sauce. We walked into Burly Burger at 8:20 on a Saturday night, 40 minutes before their scheduled closing time. One party was ahead of us and two groups were seated. As we walked up to order, the line behind us began to grow and a steady stream of about 25 people came through the door until their closing time. The cashier told us that it had been busy like that all day. Based on people's feet doing the talking, I was looking forward to a great burger. I ordered "The Duke", which was a patty topped with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion rings, bbq sauce and their burly sauce. I made it a combo with their battered fries and an Oreo shake. My dining partner ordered "The Belushi", which was a beef and Italian sausage patty topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella sticks, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayonnaise. My shake arrived to the table first and the cup was overflowing with a peak of Oreo goodness. The shake was rich and thick and perfect to be spooned out of the cup. The only issue was that if you wanted to drink it like a shake, you couldn't. They only have very thin straws, making it impossible to suck up anything, particularly the large pieces of Oreos. Our burgers and fries hit the table shortly after the shake. There was a perfect medium well cook on the burger for me and it was really good. The crunch from the onion rings was perfect. The belushi was presented with cheese oozing out of the mozzarella sticks and that burger was devoured as well. The fries were a nice accompaniment to the burger. -1 star for the bun as it seemed like an afterthought. It was soft on top but it tasted stale. It needed some love - butter, heat, or perhaps both - to match the beef. The top bun was too large for the patty and the bun overwhelmed my duke burger. I ended up eating mine bunless. Also, it was impossible to drink the shake with their thin straws. They need some larger straws to sip the thick shakes with mixed in toppings. Overall, this place is excellent. The prices are very good and the customer service - even when they were busy just before closing - was outstanding. The employees were walking around checking on people and bringing things to the table with greet attitudes. I would definitely put this on my return list on my next visit to town! read more
