I probably will not go here again. Nor would I recommend it as the experience has minimal reward or savings. I don't like the feel of the hostile shopping experience, the overzealous security personnel, and the prices that are no longer competitive with other local retailers. The selection of this retailer is always turning over. It is the nature of this type of store. Which is why for the most part, I like it. What I did not like was the entry control point, and the behavior of the guard. It's a shopping outlet, not a war zone. The tactical gear and demeanor works in Fallujah and Kabul. Unnecessary at an outlet store, especially when you can go to the mall and the security guard there is wearing a polo shirt and a smile. Is he armed? Maybe, but he has discretion and tact. This is NOT a welcoming store. They have the entrance closed off and there is a rather surly guard who has let you in. Not cool Burlington! I get it - probably alot of theft, but there has to be a better way than doing the gauntlet with that dude. He was off doing something and I was standing there trying to get in the store and I opened the stanchion and he said "you're not supposed to touch that!" Okay - next time I'll leave! Dude. Anyway - they closed the fitting rooms, the bathrooms and it's a ghost town. I'm assuming it's the next store to close down. The cashiers don't want to be there and it shows. I went shopping at Burlington last Saturday and found some really great deals on jeans, shirts, household supplies and even got an early start to my Christmas shopping. The store wasn't too busy, just a handful of customers milling about and the store still fairly orderly too; so, I was able to languidly wandered around each isle. Oddly my purchases triggered the security alarm on the way out but I happily complied with the security to search through my shopping bag and examine each item I purchased. I bought about $174 worth of items and excitedly examined all my purchases. I then noticed I was missing a can of air freshener; I even checked the trunk of my car but nope it wasn't there. I double checked the receipt and it shows, it was the item listed among my purchases. I'm not sure if this missing item was deliberately or accidentally left out of my shopping bag but I can't help but be a bit disheartened because I really like shopping at this store. read more

Multiple people asked/requested help at the register and they did not send anyone to help the poor young lady doing her best to check people out. Several people stated they had been in line for more than one hour and waited because they did the shopping to find the items. Children lost there patience and began to cry. I shopped there last week. I didn't know what to expect, so I went in with a open mind. I was startled to immediately run into the rope barrier and the security guards, but the young one was polite and friendly. I was able to find the section I needed and immediately found a couple items I was interested in. (This was after shopping at St. Vincent's thrift store and Ross without finding anything close.) I asked the security guards about dressing rooms and learned they closed them because of thefts. I understood. They assured me I could return anything that didn't fit within 30 days. How is this place still running? First they cut the store in half, then they take the restrooms out, then they expand the store by 10%, and now you have to be escorted by an employee (if you're there on a day when they have more than three employees). Let's get into selection, if thats what you want to call it. This store is trying to pass off some of the worst pieces of clothing I've ever seen. Staff? Bwahhahahhahah. Stepped in and was immediately asked to pause by their loss prevention. They violated my privacy and had the camera take my photo with no verbal notice so I left. Absolutely refuse to shop here. Went to burlington in reno nv next to the Atlantis casino on 10/10/24. The loss and prevent refused to let me and my boyfriend in saying that we were in there two days prior causing a problem. Which we weren't. We came in on 10/09/24 and purchased merchandise which i had the receipt in my purse and proof on my bank account. When I asked for the Camera proof he stated that I was causing the problem NOW. He started it by lying and not allowing us to shop due to my boyfriends appearance. My boyfriend has tattoos on his face and wears baggy clothes. By law you can't profile a person and refuse service when there is no proof of someone previously causing a problem. It's profiling and against the law. It's the 14th amendment. He then told someone on his little radio to call reno pd because we refused to leave and he said they can refuse service to anyone. Which when we went to the burlington in sparks right after this bull crap, there were sparks pd they said they have to have a valid reason. Which these people didn't. Not happy with the changes at this store. It used to be great and I shopped for the grandchildren here all the time and even bought clothes for me and my husband and household goods. I have always liked this store until now. Went in today and first off noticed it was not organized well. It just looked like racks slammed with stuff and the sizes were all mixed up. It is not easy to shop if the sizes are not where they are supposed to be. And it is truly frustrating. My main issue is Service or lack of it. There were 7 groups in front of me in line and only one cashier. To make matters worse each group had several people who bought things separately. So that slowed things down even more. Plus the returns and the people who decide they don't want an item even after it is rung up. Then 5 more groups came in behind me. STILL only one cashier and people had carts full. Yes, she gets credit for trying to work fast but she should have called for another cashier right away. I went up and asked her to call another one and she did. The older lady who went to register 7 was slow. She was trying to do everything as slow as possible to open up. If I was her boss, she would have been talked to. She is there to work and tend to the customers in a timely manner. Why would anyone want to shop here, get a cart full of stuff and wait a half hour (or longer) to get out? Our time is important too. If it happens again, the cart will be left in the store and I will be on my way home. read more

I had an awful experience. I don't normally shop at Burlington, but the few times I have it's made me want to warn everyone I know about this specific location. First, it's a mess. There are clothes on the floors, pillows on the floors, everything's a mess. I get some places are more organized than others, but it's not hard to keep things presentable. I found a rack for my bathroom, but the line was so incredibly long and there was only one register open. There were about 25 people ahead of me. I decided to leave what I had in my hand and walk out. One register open is crazy. Especially considering all the workers we saw walking around doing nothing. If you have this much people wanting to buy your products, why only have one register open? It's just plain dumb. A manager needs to head down here and tidy things up. read more

They were closing at 9 pm o'clock and decided to stop letting customers in at 8:50. The online application I asked very kindly to go in really quick and the lady who said her name was Lesille, the one who looks as if she has the down syndrome (not to be rude but she decided not to share her last name). I am a share holder of a large sum of burlington stock on the new york stock exchange so I asked for her full name because this is a public company. I was hopping to report the situation to corporate because i have never seen anything like it. Anyways Lesille decided to go on a power trip because she was closeted to the front door she was saying things like "while this guy thinks it's the end of the world and can't wait for tomorrow" or "Just go the f*** away" I finally got the attention of the store manager who explained at a high level that corporate has basically abandoned the location. Seeing that the person in charge of the store explained corporate is abandoning burlington locations makes me very weary of the future of this company. People should not be treated this way by employees but also corporate should not be putting their stores in these positions. You can tell that the store is beat down and not taken care of. I will be sending an email into corporate to explain what I just experienced. Don't put your staff in the position to put customers last this is a poor company from the top down. Wow, what a gamechanger at the Burlington Store, gone are the days of nasty service and horrible shopping experiences. This time, everything operated fantastically! Jessie was a superstar with my merchandise return sharp, customer-focused, and incredibly helpful. He made sure everything went smoothly and that I was totally satisfied. It's staff like Jessie who transform shopping at Burlington into an absolute joy. Two thumbs way up!! I don't want to give 1star!!! All of staff and including manager are very very rude customer service and why they don't allow the restroom. My friend is the disabled woman and my grandmother is over 70years old. When we shopping at Burlington, they really really need to use the restroom. We are the regular customers for Burlington and we came from San Francisco. The staff said if we need to use the restroom, go out to the other mall. I think that's not a make sense. Stress, minus the mess.... It's been awhile since we have visited this store (prior to their remodel) but as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly employee which was nice to see... There was a noticeable change within the store due to their recent remodel and I have to say that it looks great! The store as I remembered it, used to look so chaotic and disorganized but since the remodel; everything looks very organized and in order. A few of the employees on the other hand still look and act a little stressed (over worked and under paid?) but at check out; we were greeted with a very friendly employee (Stacy). They have updated changing rooms, bathrooms and updated fixtures but they forgot about updating and changing out the main front sliding doors that have horrifying sound like they are going to fall off when leaving or entering... As always, they still have great quality items and clothing at great prices you will sure find that fits your budget! Parking in front of the store tends to get filled up during the holiday season but there is still plenty of surrounding parking as this is a small mall parking lot. Happy Holidays! This place is terrible since new store manager started. I've heard him literally cuss at people. The store is a disaster. The cashier's are so slow and seem like they don't know what the hell they are doing and half of them are so rude. The manager with blue hair was incredibly rude to me also. Went to Burlington because I seen a lot of post of Facebook. Walked in and I thought they were closing. Shelves and racks almost completely empty. Went to the little boys sections for my grandkids. Not much to choose from as I must've missed the sale. Looking through picked out several items. One item was a pair of shorts and shirt on hanger together, tag said $5.99 and thought great deal. Grabbed a few other items and walked to the front. Grabbed a couple of maternity pants for my daughter for $1.99. Ready to check out and I let the lady know 1 of the 3 pants I grabbed didn't have tag but was with the others and was the same. After she messaged her manager she notified me that was different brand. I said oh ok, I don't want it then. She scanned my other items and seemed a little irritated as she put the clothing to the side. She got to the outfit that like I had previously said was on same hanger. Shirt hanger with the loop attached hanger for bottoms. She was looking at both and questioned price. I repeated what she had said about the yoga pants "it has red tag for price" as she had said price only if red tag is on sale. She messaged her manager again and stated that outfit had red tag however another tag had said $12.99. Manager told her to give for $12.99. I told her. Like you said outfit has red tag for $5.99. She said yes but shorts have tag for $12.99. I explained to her that if item was to be sold separately then they should not have on hanger as one, that I did not put hanger on it. Oh, so one of my friends LOVES BCF and convinced me I needed to peek in here. It's kinda like Ross's and Marshall's and the size of the store was pretty surprisingly large. There seemed to be quite a big sale going on and it was pretty busy with shoppers, so I did notice racks were a bit messy and not a whole lot of sales staff around. I saw a pair of shoes I liked and tried for a few minutes to find someone who might be able to see if my size were in the back, but didn't have much luck. Normally I enjoy going to Burlington, but the last few times have been kinda stressful. They're putting an addition to the back of the building. Everything is crammed together or not stocked. I had a difficult time trying to find a pair of pants and a cute top. I ended up leaving empty handed...a first for me. On the plus side, there is a tarp dividing the construction from the rest of the store so nothing gets dirty or damaged. read more

For getting merchandise that is similar to 'outlet' quality clothing and other department store goods the prices are OK. When we stopped in we couldn't find an employee anywhere on the floor to help us. They have expanded, maybe that's why they can't afford to pay anyone?!? It took us a while to find what we were looking for since there wasn't anyone around. The prices they wanted for what we were looking for were still way too high, we will end up buying online. We are new to the Reno area and are happy that there are two Burlingtons in the area! While the location in Sparks is a newer store, my wife has a much easier time shopping at this location to find clothing for her needs. Like my other reviews for Burlington, I'm tallish and fat, and so I depend on Burlington to have reasonably priced and inexpensive clothing when I don't feel like dropping $80 on a tee at a DXL. I was pleased to find a Levi's denim jacket in my size for a reasonable price ($30) as well as several button up short sleeve shirts in my size or slightly smaller to help motivate me. As to be expected, many of the Big and Tall sizes they stock don't have the most accurate sizing (certain brands say 5x but look like a 1 or 2x) and you usually have to hunt for dressier clothes and the nicer brands but the pricing is usually very good. I've even found good brand name socks that fit my giant feet! As it is a Burlington Coat Factory, you can expect long lines (particularly on the weekend) but I've not had a negative experience in any of my customer service interactions so far. read more

Well I haven't been here in some time first off...I was surprised when I walked in that the store has been organized, unfortunately a lot of empty areas such as empty hooks (quite a few) socks area which I was just looking for. I finally did find a great deal on some FILA brand at a descent price. The store is actually organized and easy to find what you are shopping for. The unfortunate thing was standing in line with 1 cashier and I'll post pics of what was ahead of me as far as customers. The photo you'll see is ahead of me and probably 2 times more behind me! I felt really bad for that cashier. Finally someone came along and opened another station....yayyyyy we all were happy. I really thought I had it made bcuz parking lot was so empty and really saw no one shopping! No such luck, they were in line with me. I do hope Burlington hires more people and keeps up with the organization. It used to be really hard to find things. I will be back, I only go for certain items but I used to enjoy looking at the clothing racks, was too short on time this visit. I will be back but definitely early opening time! read more
