It's been a while since I've done any in-person shopping, so I decided to make a quick stop to Grocery Outlet for a couple of items. They usually have great options and often carry new items I haven't seen at other stores. Although I didn't find the item I was specifically looking for, I was able to pick up a few other good items. I also met a couple of nice customers who were searching for lamb, which made the experience a little more enjoyable. Bri, the cashier, provided great service--pleasant, efficient, and friendly. Sadly, friendly interactions with cashiers here can sometimes be hit or miss, so her positive attitude definitely stood out. read more

BAD, Customer Service! New manager Vince is very unprofessional. Had a stare out due to him stopping his wet sweeper right in front of my cart, waiting for me to move. He said "Can you move, Im trying to do my work?" I said, "But I'm your customer. He told me to get out of the store. I continued shopping and he said you can shop all you want but you're not leaving with anything and threatened to call the cops. Cursing and all at me. When going to check out he refused his cashier to tender me and I said lets call the cops. He called them, they came and basically the outcome is that it's private property and he can have anyone leave the store. I highly recommend to NOT shop at this location (Fernley). Vince should not be a manager and will lose customers with his unprofessionalism towards customers left and right. I believe the police force is going to get tired from all his calls as I was informed my call in wasn't the first. So I was banned for that day. Do you really think I want to return Vince. Pfhehe, NOT! Surely won't help your store throwing people out due to your poor customer service lol read more

This store is so badly managed and very highly priced. A lot of food is old or expired even the produce can be almost rotten. The unfriendly Owner hires unfriendly checkers and the management is so hopeless when asked a question. I really would not recommend this grocery Outlet Store or go to one in Reno. I really like this outlet. I find special item that I want to try, and they also have a good selection of regular items. Only bad thing is I have to go somewhere else for gift cards and Splenda. But regardless I still like this store. Employees are helpful, friendly and professional. read more

Had a basket ready to purchase $50 of items, went to the bathroom for not even 10 mins and they already put everything away.

We were in the area and decided to stop in for a few things. We enjoy going to the Grocery Outlet in Sparks and Lemmon Valley and while this one appears smaller they have a good selection of items. We like the experience of finding the different things they have. The store itself appears to be newer and is clean and organized well. We were also able to find a couple of items which we hadn't seen at the other stores. The cashier was friendly and we enjoyed our experience! read more

I am a big fan of Grocery Outlet and today I took some family members from Fallon to check out the new Fernley store. Grocery Outlet has stores in South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno, and now Fernley. You can find brand names at discount prices and this Fernley store was an instant hit with my family members. Not surprised because I am happy with the prices of their meat, dairy, produce and boxed goods. The folks at the Fernley store were friendly. The store was busy, clean and well organized. Easy in and out access. Happy this store has come to Fernley and less than 45 minutes from Fallon! read more

This new hip location in the heart of Fernley brings not only great value prices but he brought jobs to the locals here. Now on my experience at this local location, I seen some familiar things as other locations have but what those dont have are the friendly faces of those from the area. I got the pleasure of meeting a man from one of the brewing companies who traveled from mid Nevada I think elko or somewhere in that direction haha! Sorry but he was kind of enough an knowledgeable about the brews he had been sampling. Also from what i seen on the store shelves is everything was front facing an i can see that proud in a new store. This will be definitely something that I'll be updating after 6mths to see if the pride is still with that store. As some stores become comfortable with their surroundings they tend to let go, so we will see. But overall I'm very happy and pleasant to see a new business in town. An would appreciate to see them thrive in the coming years. Thank you Grocery Outlet an well definitely be coming back for most of my shopping needs. This whole store needs a lesson on customer service. 8/10 times i come in, the cashiers literally don't even greet me, or say a single thing when im checking out.. and some of them are just straight up rude. How decided to shop at grocery outlet using their weekly flyers for savings, after filling my cart with various sales items I proceeded to the check out were none of my items were discounted, double checking the flyer for the date and asking the manager to review the items for their sales price that their flyer claimed. The manager then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing they could do, they could not give me the discount that they're flyer advertised. The only person that could help me was the owner of the store which by the way was not there. If you're going to advertise the sales price please have the items available and with the right price. read more

The only major grocery store in Fernley, around the corner from Lowes and across the street from Walmart. I have shopped at Grocery Outlet in Oakland, Reno, and Sparks. They usually have great products and good service. During these times, they may be understaffed. I had two items, and someone with two carts of groceries was in front of me. I asked a clerk if they were opening another line, and she said "No." There were two clerks stocking the shelves, surely they could have had one check out orders. After waiting about ten minutes, I dropped my two items on the shelf, and walked out, and shopped at Walmart. read more

Husband went shopping there, prices advertised in public were not ringing up correctly and proper discounts not applied. A total of like $1.40. Cashier & Manager became confrontational. Owner's Son kept asking if he "wanted to take this outside" as if proposing to fight. Have read reviews in Facebook where this behavior is not only tolerated but encouraged. ....so disappointed, stopped to get ice, bought 4 more items, came home thought I was missing only one item, because I put the bag in the refrigerator bin, the items were, so ice in freezer, chips cabinet, ?salsa?...looked in the car, no, called thinking np...boy was I wrong...( the chips & salsa were right across register 1). It was we don't carry chips and salsa to there are no chips and salsa across register 1...then I was going to just let it go fir sanity sake but Cherry called "NO We have no salsa you took it, I reviewed vedio, wow. OK in my mind chuck it up to vedio...but then went to empty bag in bin, LOL, where is the avocados (2) and the tomato (1)? Tonight one of the cashiers was waiting for a manager for 30 minutes or so. I was next in line after the customer with the need for the manager and the other employees literally came and helped 3 people behind me when I had been waiting much longer than any of them. Nice if the customers to cut it in line but even worse for the employees to check out people who'd been waiting for 3 minutes before they waited on someone who'd been waiting 10 times that long. I used to buy most of my groceries here but not after tonight. Hoping the staff gets some basic customer service skills soon. read more

This is by far my favorite place to shop in Fernley. Helpful employees great prices great products. I like the fact the the selection is always changing amid the regular products. The other options in this town are Raleys which is a nice store but expensive and Walmart whose management is incapable of keeping adequate stock of any product on the shelf. First, I want to say I have loved going to Grocery Outlet stores for years. Yes, it is important to watch the expiration dates and integrity of the products along with the integrity of the packaging. (Although, I do feel this has had much improvement over the years.) One can save a significant amount of money on groceries by shopping at a Grocery Outlet before going to the bigger supermarkets. I used to love going to Fernley's location with the prior owners before their son and his girlfriend took over the store. Now employees tend to be rude and inconsiderate which I believe is mostly a training issue. When hiring people into their first job they need to be taught about customer service and how to treat food in a grocery setting. Such as don't put cleaning products in with food, don't make the bags so heavy that they will rip or can't be carried, and throw produce that the customer took their time in picking out. With that said, I probably spent around $1,000.00, give or take, a month at the Fernley location. Recently I had an incident of not getting home with a product that was less than $6.00. The way the situation was handled left me feeling less than important and invaluable as a customer. This particular purchase was $247.19. Not an exceeding amount of money, but not a one item purchase either. Jazmyn did say she looked at the video and didn't notice anything and didn't notice anyone picking anything up. Nice of her to look at the video. Her tone and words were condescending and accusatory when stating this over the phone. However, I unpacked my purchases and the item was not present, so, I searched my car that night and again in the morning when the sun was out to make sure it wasn't there. I didn't find it in either search. I have never returned an item to this store, even when it was bad when I got it home, nor have I ever called about a missing item. Sometimes customer care and customer satisfaction can be more important than a few dollar item. This review is not to complain over a $6.00 item, but rather to say the customer service is lacking and has really gone down hill. I will continue to frequent both the Dayton store and the Sparks store on Disc Drive. Both provide excellent customer service and overall I like the stores much more than the Fernley location. read more

Great produce, stocked shelves, clean store..all good things..but when I recently payed the $35 amount due, with a $100 bill, the clerk barked at me saying next time I come in, I have to spend $60 to be able to get change for $100 back. Being I am in public getting reprimanded for paying with cash..felt quite embarrassed. I might of gotten better treatment if my card was declined?? IDK..or maybe not treated so rudely if I just let her keep the change. Up your bank for the clerks grocery outlet or mandate a customer service course. read more

I've loved shopping here since it opened. The employees are friendly & It is, by far, the cleanest Grocery Outlet I've ever visited. It also has a wide variety of products for a small store. That said, I won't be going in again until the pandemic is over. My last visit a few days ago was the first time since patronizing this store where 75% of shoppers & even one store clerk were either not wearing masks or were blatantly choosing to leave their noses uncovered. I realize Fernley is essentially the Florida of Nevada, but minimizing the spread of COVID shouldn't come down to politics. Cases, hospitalizations & deaths are surging in Nevada as in other states, and we simply cannot afford to tolerate this behavior any longer. Bottomline, I'm not willing to risk my life or the lives of my family members by going into this store. read more

I have shopped at this store since moved here from Reno . False advertising on a flower pot ! 4.99$ 40% off , they said says on sign not this item ! I went pulled sticker off showed owners wife I guess , then Mikey jr jr offered me to step out side , my guess was to physically take care of it ! Was only a dollar they needed to fix . Mrs owners wife said I needed to calm down told her waited while you had to fix the Avocado price issue for customer in front of me ! She then she said she would wait till I calm down she would talk I said I was done she said she would wait !!!! She said she would wait ! I said all I want is the price that was marked !!! Then owner Mike jr owner said some items are not discounted I stated advertised as she told me this sale just started1-2 days ago . I said are you going to loose a customer over 1$ , they said yes and don't come back , false advertisement and the owners son ask me to step out side threats ! Used to love shopping here until yesterday, my three year old needed to go to the bathroom really bad and they have there bathrooms shut down due to COVID but they don't fail to mention sending you out of the store to go across the street to use the bathroom, every store in the area have their bathrooms open but this grocery store! Rude employees when I asked if my child could use the bathroom so disappointed in this business. It's new and clean still. It's smaller than most other grocery outlets I've been to, but Fernley is a small town. I don't like how the items are there one time and the next time they're not being sold anymore. It makes sense though that it's an outlet and they're probably getting overflow or discontinued items that make it impossible to have consist random products. Fun store. The employees are nice, helpful, and friendly. One older guy isn't my favorite. He seems grumpy and like he works at the stock market and is stressed he's about to lose holdings.
