Stopped in to buy cupcakes and cookies for my daughter's birthday this past Thursday. Roxy in the bakery was very friendly and helpful--she assisted me with my selections and patiently answered all of my questions. At self-checkout, I asked Crystal if she had a Sharpie I could borrow to mark off prices on the tags. She went above and beyond by taking the tags and blacking them out for me, carefully checking all eight items. What a great customer experience at Raley's in Fernley. I absolutely love shopping here! The store is always clean, stocked and the staff is super friendly! I love their bakery options, produce is always top notch! I always try to check out their clearance section in the back of the store and they usually always have something that I can use! I also love that they have the dmv kiosk, coin star and a rug doctor rental in the store makes it super convenient! read more

I come in at almost 11:30 wanting chicken tenders and they don't have any made. It's in half an hour till lunch time. This is like the third or fourth time this has happened. They say they sold out, but the tray is totally empty and no crumbs in it. They flat out lie to you. I don't know what's going on there but they need to do a lot better. They're chicken tenders are excellent, but they don't do their job and get them out there at a reasonable time considering they open up at 10:30. The deli opens up at 10:30. Just totally frustrated because it's like a 60% probably 70% chance that they don't have them ready whenever you come in. Do a better job. read more

We were in the area and decided to stop in for a few items. We frequent the Raley's in Golden Valley on a weekly basis but had never been to the Fernley store. The store is very nice inside and we were able to find everything we needed with no problem. The produce and bakery areas are were especially nice!  While this store is smaller than some in Reno it appears to have everything you need! read more

I bought a house in Fernley 5 years ago. I try to buy local to support our community, but the Raley's management is making it hard for me to do so. I researched how to order a specialty two-layer cake for my son's birthday. He was flying in for the weekend from out of state. I ordered it through the Raley's app per what I was told by the bakery staff. I saw it is a purchase in my Raley's account and called today just to make sure it was ready to pick up. I was told by a very nice member of the bakery staff that they had no such order under my name and even though I had a reserved pick-up time for today, May 30th and an order number, they could not help me. I was also told that this type of problem is not unusual for the cake orders and that "No one at the store ever follows up to help make things better for us to serve the customer." Those are the words of the bakery staff. I called the Raley's on Robb Drive in Reno and their bakery staff found a cake like I had ordered in their normal shipments (not my particular order, just a cake like I had tried to order from Fernley). The staff also asked their assistant manager to speak to me to make sure I was getting what I had tried to order through the Fernley location. Protocol and follow through is the contrast between the service at the two locations. I have a family dinner tonight, on May 30th that will now happen as planned with the dessert my son asked for. There are no villains in this story, but there is a need for the management to help support the bakery staff in Fernley. If you won't listen to your staff who are working firsthand with the customers you want and need to purchase from your store to keep your doors open, then please listen to one customer who had to go out of the city to buy a pretty expensive product from the store chain you are a part of. Also, since your staff didn't even feel it would do any good to pass me along to speak with your management team, like the bakery staff did at Robb Drive, that is a clear sign that you need to go back to the sales and team training basics to earn back their trust. Customer service is based on a trickledown theory that guides quality control. If the management doesn't care, which is what was relayed to me by your staff, how in the world will the sales team be able to lift up the department? Thank you. read more

This is my last stop fill up before Burning Man. Last time I was here it was Soleri's, but it doesn't seem to have changed much. First off - great quick water fill machine out front. In the past the ones inside were unpredictable and very slow. This one worked great. Inside - this store has all the groceries you'll need. Great selection, decent prices. I bough about twice as much of everything as I ended up using. Lots of shelf stable and fresh fruits and veggies. Fair amounts of booze. Would stop here again next time! read more

Absurdly high prices, a criminally bad mobile app where it takes 10 minutes of searching the app to find the relevant coupon, and they still close the south doors at 6:30 so everyone has to walk over to the north side entrance. Seriously how stupid are you to lock the busy door where everyone parks? read more

The thing Raley's has had over others is service (certainly never been price), but lately that has been thrown out the window. **First let me say the I have never had a single rude employee there. It's not in the employees at all. I blame the training by the management and corporate. First bad experience (employee not to blame) I do an occasional large pickup order. The last one was my last one, because now instead of being allowed to call or text you it's done by some robo text and if you don't respond in 15 minutes you are SOL and you'll be picking up half an order **Second now they have discounted items called EC members (seen them for a month or so, was unsure what they were). We were curious and asked someone and they said that it was good for card members, so we were good. Went up to the check out and put my number in and came up double. Checker tried to pull it up on her phone but being our number was in already could not. So then pulled up my info on regular website (embarrassing, but it's the principle) and still couldn't. Then finally only one of four employees have been told that you have to have the new app for the membership. Really just throw signs up with no info and do not let even your employees know what it's about. I have enough apps on my phone and really do not want to scroll through 17 pages of them every time I go to a store. And now Raley's has stooped to that. **Third signs and marked prices typically become only suggestions because more often than that what I'm charged at the register is always different. I normally only say something if it's a huge difference. Once it was $10 on a cake. Unacceptable In conclusion: The employees are super. Their lack of training is a direct result of management. Local and Corporate. If they are not told, how are they to know. Just throw signs up and 1 in 4 know why. Change prices but not stickers nor shelves. Make your e-cart worse than Walmart. I had the most unexpected, uncomfortable, weird experience this evening as my hubs and i were trying to do some last minute Christmas grocery shopping. When the store is busy i just like to go in, get what i need, pay and get out. Thats exactly what we were doing when i noticed we started getting followed. It really bothers me that im writing this review down cause this is my go to store for groceries but now mmm not so much. The man was wearing all black with a raleys badge "talking" on the phone. He was so close i could hear he was picking something up for someone but whats funny is he had no cart or anything to put his items in. Soon as we start turning back the way we came cause i forgot to get something, surprise surprise he starts heading that way too, we go down the isle, he goes too. We start heading to the cashier and he finally backs off and starts heading towards the meat section. You know the feeling when something is up, your gut, your body tells you. Im not sure what we did to have this happen to us, maybe it was how we were dressed? We just wanted to be comfortable in our sweats but Raleys please do better. And restock your meat section, I couldn't get any pork butt for my tamales. read more

I like shopping at Raley's they have different selections. If you use pickup don't go after 5. No one there to get your groceries.

I asked somebody why they didn't clean these, I was told they don't give them time to clean. In the meantime they have a bunch of men in Raleys shirts acting like managers just walking around the store not doing anything but laughing and talking with each other. They won't go out of their way to help you find anything, the store is so mixed up, and unorganised , they have no pride in this store. I will drive into Reno to the Raleys there before I go back to this one. read more

We moved here from California and shopped at Raleys and Bel Air for 40 + years and found the food and service to be awesome. After moving to Fernley nevada, the experience with the quality of food and produce is horrible. The food and produce spoils way before the expiration date. We are having to throw away food weekly which is unexceptable. Someone needs to look into the supplier and how the food us transported. I am no longer going to shop here and will travel 30 miles to another grocer. read more

I brag about how amazing our little Raleys is to my family. We were able to get amazing produce and had to go back a couple times for strawberries we were eating them so fast! The selection and prices are very reasonable as well. read more

Raleys, what happened?? You were such a good addition to Fernley and had great staff. I have been into your store 4 times in the past 2 weeks and every time it has been HORRIBLE! I can honestly say that the only good experience I have had is when the butcher helped me locate a roast. Let me start with the worst ones, the ladies in the bakery seem pissed all the damn time. God forgive if you run out of chicken or potato wedges and they have to make more. They complain more about being the only employee there and not having any help to do their job. Yet they stand there for 15 minutes and talk crap with their friends that come by and complain more about who called out or the help they were supposed to to get and no one ever came. They complain about customers calling in for orders and asking for a certain employee to cook the chicken. I was picking up a salad one day when a gentleman came by to order chicken and wedges and they rudely responded to him and said it would be 15 minutes. When he walked away they complained about him and then said they would make it a point to not even put the wedges in the fryer until he was there again for the chicken just to make him wait some more to teach him a lesson. What is wrong with those women. Then you have young guy there that can't even give you a correct wait time to the customer. The next time I was there getting chicken for myself, they had someone call in asking for chicken and the lady said there was not enough for their order and they could come by and see what was left. When she came back to the counter the lady that was helping me said to her it's only 8:30pm and that they could still make another batch. The rude one said, NO I have to start breaking down everything. I don't need extra work. Another time I came in early morning for one of your amazing fruit tarts but there were none in the display. I asked the lady in the bakery if they had any. Her response was it's only 7:30 am, I just came in and I don't have time right now to make it, come back in the afternoon. Just and fyi, the Raleys located in Reno on Mayberry Dr. have theirs out by 7:00am. I guess the Fernley bakery is on a different time clock. A few of the cashier's don't even greet you. At this point I would even take a grunt as an acceptable greeting from them. I say a few because your actually have 3 or 4 that known what customer service is. Those cashier's at the only reason I gave 1star, if not I would have given you the lowest possible rating. I hope you do some staff clean up soon, for now I will resort to shopping at the Raleys near my office in Reno prior to coming home to Fernley to avoid dealing with your staff. Hell I might actually bite the bullet and go back to shopping at the Fernley Walmart. read more

Needed balloons and ice cream cake for my sons 13th Birthday and they had everything I needed and then some. I was able to get balloons filled up quickly and writing done on cake within minutes. This was all done at 6:30 in the morning! read more

I have been a Raley's customer on and off for over 36 years. Never in all that time have I seen a store to compare to this location. The store is understocked, the produce is sketchy at best and like all Raley's stores the prices are high. Buying dairy products is a crapshoot. Most of the products are at or near their stale date and that is providing what you are looking for is even on the shelf. It has been 4 months since Raley's took over and nothing is improving. Not impressed. Raley's opened and you couldn't find a cold soda in the whole store. Finally they had one small cooler with cold sodas. Then it was removed. I asked about it and was told that a big wig from Raley's came through and forced them to take it back out. Now again you can't find a single cold soda again in the entire store. I've never had a problem finding cold sodas in other Raley's stores. I'm a Californian and always loved Raley's. But this store is being mismanaged off the top--FROM OUTSIDE THE STORE LEVEL. What's the deal? Are they saying sodas are unhealthy? No kidding but yet there's tons of cold alcohol and other unhealthy foods so that dog don't hunt. So rather than make a second stop for a cold soda I'm good. I'll shop elsewhere. We are also seeing very wilted produce now. Seemingly the store itself has gotten too warm inside. I'm sure the recent hot weather is at least part to blame. Again, I'm a long time Raleys guy and glad to see a raleys in our town. This store just still has a long ways to go. read more

I am so happy to finally have Raleys in our community! The produce is fresh and appealing. Not good for their business, but I love that the isles are not crowded and there is rarely a wait at checkout. The only disappointment is that the deli is the same old Scolari's deli. I shop at the Raleys in Fernley, Nevada. Management needs to teach/show their Young Baggers how to properly pack the Customers BAGS! Raley's is beginning to get like the Scolari's before them. A couple of weeks ago, I had to point out to one of the people in the meat department that the hamburger meat had expired the day before. Many times the milk products show an expiration date the next day; who wants that? The other day at the soda isle all the liter bottles of coke were sticky. What's up with you guys? I expected a Raley's as good as the one was in Fallon. Disappointing!!! read more

I am sooo happy to see Raley's open in Fernley. They got off to a rough start trying to get all the products in that we love about this store. I see it slowly getting better every day. The meat, produce, and food service departments are everything I expect. The management is amazing and helpful, and will go out of their way to help.
