My prescription was sent to Walgreens last Wednesday, and when I went to pick it up on Friday, I was told it was not ready. Fortunately, I still had some medication on hand, but this type of delay is unacceptable when it involves necessary treatment. I called again tonight to check the status, as the app shows it as "unavailable." The representative stated they are still waiting on a shipment. When I explained that I would need to contact my doctor due to the delay, the call was abruptly disconnected. Being hung up on while trying to manage an important prescription is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the level of care being provided. Patients should not have to deal with uncertainty, lack of communication, and disrespect when it comes to their medication. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding this situation, including what steps your team will take to ensure this does not happen again to other patients. It should have been communicated last week that the medication might not be available, allowing me to make other arrangements. While you may be dependent on your supplier, patients should not be placed in the same position due to poor communication and lack of transparency. read more

But I call to ask about refills, wait on hold for 30 minutes and get hung up on. My prescription hasn't changed, so you think they expect a refill from me monthly- but No, not this Walgreens! I recently called in a refill asked that it be ready at a certain time when I was coming through town. When I pulled up to the window, it took 20 minutes for staff to answer. I think it was the pharmacist on duty, he was rude and mumbling about the item not being ready for 2 days I would need to come back. Mind you this was 18 hrs after the time the computer stated the order would be ready. Not more than 10 minutes after leaving I got a message stating the order was ready. There is something shady going on at this pharmacy! Been there for 4 years now and since July I have had really bad experiences and I'm not just talking about customer service. I am a super friendly person with tons of experience in customer service. I have had a one on one conversations with the manager, jay, who has been very friendly and helpful, but things continue to get worse here, between extreme disrespect from pharmacists, being hung up on by a pharmacy tech, and being shorted 5 pills of a controlled substance, which apparently the pharmacy said they had all evidence proving it was counted correctly, but i will swear on a bible and before God it was short the moment I opened the bottle. I had no recourse and I've accepted that. I've never drug seeked, I never try to fill early, I've never been shorted ( though my husband was shorted 10 pills about 6 months ago!) and I have never contacted my doctor to get early refills other than vacation and never claimed I've lost my pills or they fell down the sink. There is nothing shady on my end. I was told if there are 2 signatures on the bottle and there is video showing the count, then it's correct. Ok. Well guess what, it wasn't! But I'm Out 5 muscle relaxers I need and there is nothing I can do about it. So Jay, the manager asked my husband if we would like our pills counted at the counter before we pay for them. What a pain in the butt for everyone, but yes! If that's how we can make sure a med I need isn't shorted and I am not compensated, then yes. NEXT DAY, my husband goes to pick up a prescription for me because I had dental surgery. ( Oct 11th) and he is told there is no one to count the pills. We can't do that. WHAT??!! We never asked to have pills counted, it was a suggestion from the manager, and we agreed. There was a pharmacist sitting rt there and the pharm tech can only do so much! My husband gave the pharmacist a look like, excuse me... get over here! The pharmacist didn't even bother to get off his chair... just waved to the tech to count them. Next day... another prescription. I'm in so much pain I go to drive through and the nicest tech they have ( don't know her name - but it was 10:15 am on Sunday Oct 12) says to me "I see you want these counted, but you need to come In To the store bc you can't see me count then in your car" At this point I didn't even care! I laughed a little, told her the pill counting story from the day before and went on my way. The Pills were the perfect amount BUT Ironic there was only ONE signature ON the bottle when I was told that's how they control the count. What a crock! I'm changing pharmacies and I've requested an appointment with the manager to go through all the experiences I've had that I haven't even talked about here. There is something not right over there, and someone took my 5 pills and it wasn't ME! Pisses me off. read more

What am I to do when I live in severe chronic pain and can't get the medication I need to function? It's so bad, I have been prescribed a Fentanyl patch. The pharmacy never has it in stock. If any of the employees felt 10 minutes of withdrawals when the patch wears off, things would change. I wish I knew who I can call and speak to about the Walgreens in my town of Fernley Nevada. They consistently run out of prescriptions for pain management. They dont seem to be able to stock extra, and once they are ordered, it takes several days to show up. The CDC is partly to blame with restrictions and invasive laws. Again...I'll paint the picture of a 49 y/o lady hugging a trash can dry heaving from withdrawls because the medication she was prescribed was "oops" OUT OF STOCK AGAIN! ...and the patch takes several hours to absorb into the skin so the misery goes on. I don't like to complain to the pharmacy staff because they really don't give a crap. They just want to work and go home. This pharmacy has told me a lot of the issue is the actual Walgreens ordering system. Class-2 medication's have to be ordered a different way and they often won't show up. They get flagged for "insurance issue" when there is none. I have to call them and tell them to release the med so it can be filled. This really is unacceptable for someone that is already suffering severe chronic pain. I have the support of a pain management doctor, but there's no point in even having doctors, if I can't get the medication to help me. This damn "opioid epidemic" has had a reverse-effect for those legitimate patients who need help. The government has put ridiculous limitations on pharmacies even though there is a doctors script on file. This particular Walgreens has thousands of customers in this town, so what is it? Why aren't they being ordered correctly? Are they severely understaffed at this location? Wouldn't that fall on management's responsibility to order meds and hire the manpower to fill them? If so, go to the next in command and write letters until they listen! I don't have the option to go to the Walmart because they do not have a drive-through and I am partially paralyzed. I can't walk into ANY store. My life is not easy, and yet one of the largest stressors is my prescription not being filled. It causes much pain and suffering. Please... Who can I call? What is the address I can write letters to? Let's face it, the comments you submit on their website aren't even read. They fall on deaf ears. Corporate doesn't give a sh!t. But they might listen to their district managers. I'm sad and frustrated and angry. read more

The staff pharmacist is very rude! I called because it's been almost 24 hours for my prescription to be ready she said that the assistant never sent it in. I educated her it was left on voicemail because they were so busy yesterday. When she came back she was sweet as pie, realizing it was her mistake. I have worked customer service since I was 16. My advice, take a customer service course. Please and Thank you we all understand you went to college for several years to get your degree. I too went to college. On 4/5/2024 @5:30pm I purchased said items I presented what I thought was -$7 off my purchase. I questioned 7004 as she said oh it's the sub total did not meet coupon criteria. The MOD ran my purchase, I'd spoken to several xs. I got to the house looked at my receipt did not see the $7. Arrived back at store MOD I approached her, I don't see -$7 on my receipt. I said I'd like to return these items. She had the gull to say to me "Idk what you're going through, I've been nothing but nice to you, I replied and I've been the same, I shop 3X a week there. The receipt & bag had blood on it not the merchandise, due to a previous wound I sustained on my L pointer finger, it was healing. I believe that cold and walking back to the store my fingers were numb. She refused to me to return items or to put gloves on as I suggested. She then asks her co-associate to assist me and that was when I realized between the 2 of them were not going to assist me. I picked my bag up and said to them, I won't be shopping there anymore. 1. That manager had no right to call me out in the manner she did. 2. Refused to return the merchandise 3. Ask another employee to assist as she was not willing to. I will return the items and get credit for them, otherwise I would not advise anyone to shop there. The store may closing in the near future and prices are overpriced. read more

I am an immunocompromised cancer patient who is exhibiting covid symptoms & was exposed to someone who tested positive at work. I filled all of this information out in Walgreens' little questionnaire & was still turned away after scheduling an appointment online, not once, but twice today. The first time was because they "were going to lunch in 20 minutes". I didn't realize that it took 20 minutes for me to swab my own nostrils & hand them the container back, but okay. The second time, I was told that testing stopped 2 hours prior, even though I was able to schedule online for the time that I arrived on site. I just tried to reschedule online, but they're booked for the next 2 days & I cannot schedule another test. I guess I'll just go screw myself since they just did twice today anyway. They mix up some vile generic substitute of my usual medicine. They have the worst flavoring agent I have ever experienced. I have to treat them like criminals and check EVERY prescription I pick up. My doctor prescribes a brand name and they substitute. God forbid I don't check the medicine . They REFUSE to take it back and blame me. The cashiers do not sigh or roll their eyes if you use coupons. The photo department does a nice job and has my photos ready on time. Customer service for the pharmacy is obviously not in their mission statement. I recieved a call at 1:15 to pick up a script. After leaving my job site I arrive 1:28. I sat in line at the drive thru until 1:34. When I pulled up someone had quickly put up a large sign stating that they were at lunch until 2:00pm. These times were not stated in their voicemail nor was I given the common courtesy of the window person to explain this to me. When I presented my concerns they acted as if though I was wasting their time. Apparently Jerry is the one charge but he just let the girl behind the counter take all responsibility. Then she proceeded to ask why he was purchasing super glue and if it was to fix something he broke when he bought alcohol last. as soon as the brand new walgreens opened i changed my Rx plan and switched immediately away from walmart (horrible pharmacy). i have only encountered ONE bad pharmacy tech and had one bad experience. otherwise they are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, very patient and understanding. they have a drive up window that i love, automatic refills, express billing, text, email and phone reminders letting you know exactly when your order is ready. they are open til 10pm during the week and 6pm on weekends. i love it!!! read more
