The Vitamin Shoppe - Vitamins & Supplements Near Me - Reno, Nevada

First off I don't do much shopping at this or any Vitamin Shop. However, after this last transaction, I may just have to change my whole life. We went looking for Liquid Death Energy drinks because they are just plain good and not filled with a bunch of shite like the other brands. We heard that the Vitamin Shoppe carried them, and did they ever! They carry the cases! 100% full score! Then enters Adam, asks us if we need help finding anything, and so we bite. He takes us all the way to. the back of the store where the beautiful full cases are stored. He then proceeds to fill us in on how clean they are and is far more knowledgable about energy drinks than a healthy man should be, we were enthralled. THEN, dude takes us around answering questions about protein bars, protein donuts, protein cereal and Adam KNOWS his shit. Like seriously has the receipts on everything in that store and beyond. Word to the wise Vitamin Shoppe, you should keep this dude happy cuz he's either gonna run your corp one day, OR put you out of business with his own. Let's just say that we are newly formed fans of the Vitamin Shoppe. They obviously have the right people in place and know great people when they meet them. It was an honor to meet you Adam, we are now proud owners of more protein and health information than we should know too. read more

HORRIBLE customer service by AMY. Refused to do a price match with all the excuses even though their official website days they do price match! read more

The selection is sparse and the prices are expensive. The staff members were nice and offered assistance.

I most always get good, helpful service at this store. My concerns are more with corporate who has closed two stores where we spend most of our time. Secondly, I get coupons, but then have found that they don't apply at the local stores. Sometimes here and elsewhere, store personnel have gotten me the discounts which I appreciate. Shopping there after Black Monday, they were out of stock on some items I would expect them to have. Seems like The Vitamin Shoppe doesn't support its retail locations, but this stores seems to be trying its best. read more

Stopped here while we were in Las Vegas was very clean and they were very friendly I got what I needed even being ALong way from home

I love that they hire people on the spectrum and treat them like people too. I really appreciate it. I come from an autistic family and I love it. Thank you Vitamin Shoppe for being very faithful. read more

Did little pick up here in Cali, it was pretty awesome and the prices was perfectly okay and can keep you coming back to do more... read more

The customer service, if you can call it that, definitely leaves something to be desired. I walked in tonight unaware of the time and was met at the door by an older woman who rolled her eyes and sharply said, "WE ARE CLOSING IN 30 SECONDS!!!" I told her it was a good thing because I only needed thirty seconds, and immediately grabbed my purchase. My husband was a few steps behind me in entering the shop and she turned to him and rudely said, "Uh, we ARE CLOSED!" Really lady? Lose your creepy attitude or you will lose customers. I'm sure if you look there's something in your arsenal of products that could help chill you out. read more

This location is always consistent with their customer service skills they provide. I've been coming to this location since I moved from Hawaii. I've seen holistic doctors that have provided me with this regiment of Silver Biotics, and I highly recommend using this if you have an autoimmune diseases this is the way to go- Also add a probiotic. read more

The Vitamin Shoppe - Cough drops and immune support - Vitamins & Supplements Near Me - Reno, Nevada

First time in, there was just one guy on a Saturday afternoon and the place was BUSY! In spite of that, he managed to greet everyone walking in the door, he helped everyone who had a question, he showed people where things they were looking for was (including me). Huge selection of all healthful things and good prices IMO. Very clean store and easy to find things on your own too. read more

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired at this location; in fact it's pitiful and the staff has become annoyed with me on several occasions when I interrupt their conversations with a question or need. It's quite awful and in fact I'm actively searching for other supplement options because of the very poor customer service and because for months the Vitamin Shoppe brand of digestive enzymes were out of stock. The enzymes are now the only item that I purchase from them; I've found replacements for everything else. If this store goes out of business, it'll be their staff's fault entirely. read more

(1)Price is ok, but I usually just get them from other online retailers though, but i will shop here every now and then to buy supplements if the price is not that much over online retailers like Amazon and Bodybuilding. (2) Customer service is alright, I mean when i walk in I usually will have an idea of what I want so I'll just walk in and grab it and pay it, I won't give them a chance to talk to me and make me buying things i don't want. (Had REALLY bad experience with GNC) The checkout process is rather easy, I think they asked me if wanna join the health program and i said no, and then no more bs talk like other places(yes i'm looking at you GNC). Pretty pleasant. In this place you need to know what you want to buy, then go compare it with a few online retailers, if the price is not that much off, then just buy it here to show your support of physical store business, but the price is very off, just buy it online. They do somehow do price match with THEIR OWN website. read more

My first time visiting this store. First thing I noticed was how clean and organized the store was. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to check it out again. read more

They've got a great selection and great prices, but I'll take my business elsewhere after this afternoon's visit. While I was checking out, an older lady was asking for help reaching a product that she couldn't reach. The young guys behind the desk were adamant that the product was not there. The woman walked over to the employee looking for it and pointed it out. As she did that, the guys still working behind the counter rolled their eyes at her in front of myself and other customers. They also acted incredibly rude when she asked for a price match. C'mon guys! If that was you're grandma, would you want someone to treat her that way? Customer service goes a long way. For me, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I'm willing to pay a little more for a better experience! read more

DISCLAIMER: This review isn't about this location - it concerns more than one store. A while ago I found some keys. The only identifying item on them was a Vitamin Shoppe awards card, so I did a random search for VS and called the first one I found. After I gave her the awards number, she immediately gave me the person's name and phone number! Well, sort of: Turns out it was the right phone number but the wrong name. Days later, I actually visited a shop and handed the keys to the employee at the register. Before I could ask him to call the customer, he started giving me the customer's address! With identity theft so rampant, I am astounded at how cavalier the employees are at providing customer information to a complete stranger. read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years. Today you lost my business. If I didn't have so many errands to run I'd go back and return what I bought. The clerk was the worst customer service person I've seen in a long time. There were 2 other people in the store. One got so tired of being ignored he left. The clerk refused to use my Vitamin Shop card and gave me an attitude. Too bad this place has gone so far down read more

New customer here, Colin was friendly and very helpful/patient in putting together a good preworkout mix and helping me select brands. Will be visiting again! read more

This store deserves a zero. I am a firm believer in shop local and support brick and mortar in your community. I was shopping quite regularly and was putting up with the lack of service while a staff member was on her lap top never acknowledging customers. I went in one day and could not find a product that I had been purchasing in the past. The staff member asked if there was a tag and an empty self? Then she said I should go on line to see if product was still available. I told her if I did that why wouldn't I just buy on line. (Strike one) Being stupid I still want to shop local. I go back in to purchase a second item. I am now savvy and find an empty shelf and tag. I inquire about the product and the staffs response was " it may be in the back. We recently got a big order in but have not had time to put it away. (Strike two and Good Bye" read more

I've never been into a Vitamin Shoppe before, but I was impressed! They were busy and I was still assisted by 3 different employees. Everyone was friendly and passionate of their products. Diana is extremely knowledgeable and caring and I was pleased with her recommendation, kicking this flu in the butt! Would be cool if they had some kombucha in there ^^ read more

Yep, this place is OK. They have their own house brand (usually cheaper than everything else) but they also have a variety of other brands. Clearance bin with a bunch of nutrition bars for a song too. They were out of Carlson in the smallest size so I tried the house brand since it's also 50% off your second bottle at the moment. The fish oil is OK for the low price but watch out for that "Especially For Men" multivitamin. Aside from a quite generous but also pointless dose of garlic powder that makes it taste awful, I'm pretty sure something in the weird mix of added herbs is making me pee neon yellow. read more

Visited this place for the first time and they were very welcoming from the moment I entered til I was out the door. Very good selection better than GNC and their loyalty membership is free and better than GNC's. I will definitely make the extra drive to go here. read more

It should be 0 stars. I ordered supplements recommended by my doctor to prevent migraines a week ago. I ordered three items. One item came yesterday, one item shipped two days ago and one item shipped this morning. Nice going Vitamin Shoppe. Back to GNC I go. read more

I went in to Vitamin Shoppe to refill supplements carrying my service dog today at 1 pm. The young man said I can't bring my service dog in. I told him he was wrong.. I checked the Washoe County ADA laws including a picture of the laws on the front door. I did qualify. He ASSUMED my dog didn't qualify. It shows me people like him are not trained to run this business and I will never go in again for any reason. read more

I was impressed by the selection and prices but we received zero customer service. No one offered to help us or even greeted us when we came in. read more

Horrible customer service and extremely Un-knowledgable. Went in today looking for a new protein powder and after 10 minutes was finally approached asking if I could be helped. I mentioned I was searching for a new protein powder and showed the lady a few I was looking at and she said "you know it's really the flavor that is different- nothing else". We asked her to ask her colleague and he says the same thing! Complete lack of knowledge on what is in the actual products and what the product can do to help you achieve your goals. Huge selection but is completely invaluable if you do not have staff to promote and provide guidance on the product. Left the store and went to max muscle where I received knowledgable service as always. read more

So unimpressed by the customer service here! I went in her with a friend of mine who likes to purchase his supplements for weight lifting okay no biggie, upon walking in there were 3 employees working it was a Friday night about 3 weeks ago nobody even acknowledge use! (They weren't even very busy, customer browsing but they weren't helping anyone!) I had been reading about essential oils & thought maybe I'd check some out I grabbed a grapefruit oil & a bottle of castor oil & went to the register to pay! So an old gray haired lady calls me over & I let her know I can't seem to locate my vitamin shop card her her response oh you have a card! Yes I do i respond then I ask I received something in the mail from vitamin shop do I've to bring it in or can they just load it to my card? She remarks I don't know what your saying or understand you! Excuse me I'm just asking about the voucher I received from your company she looks @ another sales employee & in mid sale walks away! REALLY. ..where's your customer service unpleasant lady such a BEOTCH, yes I was extremely appalled, the other sales clerk wouldn't tell me her name whatever I thought, I really shouldn't have finished my transaction just walked away also! I just can't ever see treating a customer like this I can see not arguing with them but I was being nice & asking a question! Hey lady get a personality, or maybe it's time to retire your not cut out for customer service anymore! read more

A good place to buy supplements, drink mixes for ailments and vitamins. I needed to find a liver detox and was shown where that was with a few of them the clerk thought I might like. I got out my eyewear and got set on reading them all until I found the one that suited me best "Critical Liver Support". It was almost $40 but it seemed to have all I was looking for. I figure that I'll try this one first and some cheaper ones later after my blood test. That's how I'll know if it works. They share the parking lot with Whole Foods but the Vitamin Shoppe has a larger selection and usually better prices. It's worth a quick check, though. read more

This store does not honor Vitamin Shoppe national sales. They say they are a "pilot store" (Maybe their code name for franchise?). If you push them on it and have documentation they will make you wait about 45 minutes while lecturing you on how they are "helping you out" and will refund the overcharge. Quite frankly, the store is not that great for all the hassle. Employees stand around and chat each other up while ignoring customers. I agree with another reviewer who says you can get better prices - and much better service elsewhere. If you really want something from the Vitamin Shoppe brand you are probably better off ordering it off the Internet. This does does not honor the member card discounts, either. FYI. I have one. read more

That Kyle guy was sooooo nice and sooo helpful. He helped me find all of my vitamins to help fight my chronic to severe psoriasis. He then proceeded to teach me all sorts of really cool information. Because we live within about an hours drive from Reno, we save our Reno trips for about once a month, and we usually almost always stop at this Vitamin Shoppe. The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful, and they even signed us up for the points club and we've gotten a few coupons, which I TOTALLY LOVE. After price shopping online to some of their items they carry, the price can be substantially different, so make sure to price compare - sometimes they are same, cheaper, and sometimes upwards of $5-$10 more then what you'd find online. Every time we've gone by, it seems like their customer services is pretty nice and low stress (unlike some of their competitors that want you to blow a ton of money on supplements) they seem knowledgeable and easy going. Overall, I'm definitely a fan and will continue to go back time and time again.... read more

Run of the mill supplement store. Not bad... not necessarily good.

Great place to buy certain vitamins with a nice variety. I couldn't pronounce some product I was looking for and not one but TWO nice staff ladies came over and both helped me find what I was looking for. Thanks! read more

Absolutely unimpressed with the service by the two individuals working today! I stopped in the Vitamin Shoppe today looking for a specific supplement. Was told no we don't carry that, try Whole Foods!!! They sell tea!!!! This place is a-ok, just like it says. I didn't have any issues with the customer service--they were perfectly helpful friendly to me. Good selection of vitamins and supplements, but the prices are not the best. You can get a few good deals if you look for sales, but otherwise, you're going to be paying more than you would online or in other spots. read more

As far as selection, hands down the best. I normally bounce around to several different locations to get what I need. Came here and they had everything I purchase at multiple places. For that reason, I'll be shopping here more often! read more

Been there twice in the last month. It's a nice little store with a very good selection of nutritional supplements. I go there mostly for bodybuilding products and they carry many of the popular brands. Both times I've been there we've gotten service within 2-3 minutes of browsing around and the staff has been helpful and courteous. The price of products tend to be on the side of expensive. However, they have a house brand which seems to offer some pretty high quality and it's reasonably priced without being cheap. For the convenience of buying stuff quickly, and a good selection product, you're sacrificing price a little bit, but I still like this place. read more
