I really enjoyed walking around the marketplace in town mall! Tons of things going on, definitely supporting a small business! I bought a magnet from a fellow, Greg. He was nice. Thank you

This is the drug dealer and this said the two vehicles that he drives please beware

Everything is great there wonderful mall it's always been the best cleanest mall but unfortunately, now the apartments behind you are loaded down with drug dealers and drugs. It's unfortunate that we are placed in an environment like this with them. I had this guy asked me the other day if I wanted to buy any drugs from him, are you kidding me so please people be aware that's not these people back to where they belongthey don't belong here. Let's get rid of these druggies. Here's one and this is what he drives.

Blast from tha past! You rarely see relics not renovated or made way for new anymore. Woe. See my pics. Brick and wood. Def looks like an antique mall. Few businesses in here still. Worth a peek to be transported back in time.

Friday, May 24, 2019: mall center.

I went here today, Friday, May 24, 2019. I did not realize Reno had an additional mall, besides the well-know Meadowood Mall, which is more the traditional mall that people think of, with national stores and anchor stores like Macy's and Foot Locker and Cinnabon. This mall is not like traditional malls. It is unique in that it is a strip mall, with additional enclosed mall stores in the end part. The biggest outside store is a Food Source a grocery store. The enclosed mall is older, like a throwback to the 70's or 80's. It was dark, with little natural lighting. There are a few "boutiquey" type stores, and some functional type business, like the Sierra View Library, the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (entrance in the back of the mall), Reno JobConnect, and Access to Healthcare Network. There are also a number of empty spaces. It felt like I was in a time warp. It reminded me of the Carson Mall Shopping Center in Carson City. There were not a lot of people here for a Friday afternoon. The upstairs is almost empty of people. There are the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority offices, but the doors are for employees only. The public entrance is in the back of the mall, on the outside, which sucks if you have to get there from inside. There is also no food court and few restaurants. There are not a lot of amenities either like most malls have, like a children's play area, or rides or displays, or plush chairs, or a video arcade. There are a few hard benches, but that is it. It also felt kind of warm inside. Even the parking lot is old and in need of repair, though parking is pretty easy. The thing that irritated me was there was no mall wifi. There was wifi near the library end, but that is the library's, and I have read here that is even not reliable or strong. Elsewhere in the mall, you are out of luck. And it is hard to get a cell phone 4G/4G LTE signal here. I have an iPhone and use Verizon, but still had difficulty, even by the doors, I had to go outside to do a Yelp check in at a business here, lol! By the way, when I went around the back to the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority at 4:05 PM on a Friday, it was closed, even though the doors said they were open from 8 Am to 5 PM weekdays. There was no sign either telling visitors they were closed early today. They apparently closed early due to the Memorial Day weekend. Still, this is not a good look for the mall. The website for the mall is Spartan too. There was an event today, with the Mammovan visiting outside in the parking lot, but on the mall events page, that was all that was listed. No times, no info, no link, no nothing. It is like no one cares here to bother to maintain it. I will give this mall three stars, due to the fact there are some eclectic stores (But Nevada First Gift Shop & Visitors Center), as well as some functional ones, but this mall just made me feel strange. Kind of like a low-end strip mall plus a throwback enclosed local mall from the 70's. Although I have no problem with this, having the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services office right behind the mall is probably not a good look if this mall wants to attract more upscale clientele. It is nice though that it is right across from Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and the Convention Center. They have to close the parking lots when Atlantis has their annual Hot August Nights celebration. I will visit here again and see if I can give them a better rating.

I haven't been to this mall since they changed it's name from Old Town Mall to Reno Town Mall. I was here today and found some really cool shops here. I will have to come back and check out all the other stores that are currently here. The mall was clean and had a warm inviting feeling to it.

This mall is definitely funky and a throwback to shopping malls of the early 70's. It has plants and brick and stairs and waterfalls. It also does not have the generic "this could be anywhere" array of stores that populate most malls. The draw for me is the unique shopping available here. Two of my favorite stores are here - A Proper Fit Footwear and Buy Nevada First. The two "anchor" stores are Burlington Coat Factory & Baby Depot and Food Source ( a discount Raley's) There is also a public library as well as Job Connect, Access to Healthcare Network, and New Horizons Learning Center. There is ample parking and is easy to access from Peckham. There are regular events here such as monthly arts and crafts fair, job fairs, and holiday themed activities.

In the past we only came here for the following: Apple Store, Lululemon (taking a break from this brand now), Starbucks (only when it is on the way). Now we have added the following business to our list: Carhartt, Mt. Rose Wine Co., Reno Running Company, etc. Also, it helps us visit some of our favorite restaurants here - Land Ocean, Skipolinis, and Miyabi. Chipotle just opened, but we are not a customer any more. And a free standing Starbucks is STILL being built. Atmosphere - Huge mall that is rarely busy. Well, they are getting busier and busier again thanks to Trader Joe. Plenty of parking. Convenient location for us, easy in and out from highways. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 6pm or 7pm. Pet friendly, see the tiny dog park/area. Free wifi, I have not used it. Service - Good. Price - Good, some might say upscale. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2006. We were happy when you built this mall, too bad we have not been big customers until now. Are you under new ownership now?

Quality/Quantity - How is it that I have never done a review here?…read moreIs it because when I come, I usually go to Grafted? Well not true, I am also almost always at Perenn. Anyways, it is one of my favorite places to hang out, either during the day at Perenn or during the afternoon/evening at Grafted. We (my wife and I) also frequent the other many businesses. I just really like to eat and drink. Atmosphere - Beautiful modern center. Actually, one of my favorites. 8 small businesses to shop. 7 businesses to dine. 6 wellness businesses. See website. Family friendly, plenty of parking. Service - Depends on where you shop, eat, or drink. Most, if not all businesses, are "high end" so service typically reflects that. Price - Above average, but that is the cost for quality. Although the happy hours are reasonable. The ice cream is totally different than any ice cream shop, good to try at least once. One of these times, we will have to attend the special events, never tried those before. I like the fact that they have outdoor seating and have used it many times during the summer months. It helps to have lots of umbrellas for shade since it can be quite hot during the middle of the day when shoppers want ice cream. Since most the eating places are small, the outdoor areas are a huge plus. The pizza here is quite good, so go to try that. I like the Village atmosphere which is unique to Reno. It is almost like the places in Europe. Lots of parking and you can park on the outside of the rectangle, the backside, or in front. Never had an issue finding parking. More shade, and I would give it 5 stars.
