I just couldn't believe how disorganized the women's and juniors departments were when I came in on a weekend. The racks were stuffed like crazy with all these random clothes and there was almost no room to walk in between. I was close to getting a headache. Their shoe collection on the second floor is out of style, too. I give them props, though, for their extensive purse collection and the availability of designer denim like Chip and Pepper and paper denim & cloth. Is it just me, or does everyone have that 1 pair of jeans that you never want to take off? I purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren Polo low-rise jeans that I just love at Ross, and have been trying to find a similar pair everywhere! Shopping at Ross and Marshall's though is like rummaging through a thrift store and you never know what you're going to get. Burlington coat factory was a nice change. They offer affordable prices for designer clothing. 3 stars because of the lack of pants in my size (38x32) in my favorite cut (low-rise, NOT boot cut). So I read the reviews before mine... and im kinda disappointed that they would rate so low... perhaps its because my experience was so different, or rather because i know what type of store i was going to. Firstly, this place is for sure Ten Steps up from the Ross' that im used to hitting up. I love going to these places cause you can find bargains and I am ALL about bargains. I was able to find so many cute shirts all for under $5... where else can you do that? Additionally everything was super organized (WARNING: I went on a weekday during regular office hours) Perhaps it was my choice of timing or the day that I went (friday) but there was an amazing selection of clothes, super cute in my book and i love wearing trés chic clothes. Great store for bargain shopping! The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the store could be a little more organized and cleaner.

I am a born and raised bargain hunter and the messier the store usually equals better prices. That's why all these people talking about how messy the store is doesn't realize it comes hand in hand with bargain stores. I buy some of my dress shirts here(Calvin Klein, Donald Trump) and they are 1/3 the price of Macy's if not cheaper. They carry 7 jeans, Affliction, Buffalo and many other name brands for discounted prices. For anyone looking to save some money this is a great place to start, it may not be the prettiest and not the best organized. But when your friends see you with name brand clothes you can always lie and say you bought them from Nordstroms. read more

Great place to browse rack after rack after rack of clothes. Larger, more organized and neater than Ross, prices comparable. They have a nice home decor area upstairs, good selection of shoes and coats (natch). Sometimes you'll get lucky and there won't be anyone manning the fitting room and you can bring in more than 6 items, bonus! Sadly, patronized by a lot of the same people who shop at Ross. I was in the fitting room yesterday and a parent who doesn't bother parenting was in the fitting area with her passel of wild animal children running up and down and screaming. Alas, finding a bratty little face looking at you from under the fitting room door is apparently the price you pay for affordable name brand clothes. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE ON 2/28/12. I had a layaway that ended up being returned to the floor after me paying to have it extended. This purchase was for a birthday gift. I was informed by the Supervisor Shirley and Sales Rep Brianna that it was not there fault and that they had no way of seeing my payment or refunding me for the full amount I paid. I was so upset with the way the issue was handled since Shirley advised me there were no notes in their system from the Rep who initally took my payment and promised my extention per her supervisor. I was asked the names of the Rep and Sup which I did not know. However Shirley advised me she could check the Cameras and find out so I advised her she should. Since I called her bluff by describing the Rep and Sup she then ignored my request for her to check the tapes. I promise I have always shopped at this store but NEVER AGAIN!. Both Shirley and Brianna did not handle themselves in a professtional manner. I was pretty much advised I was ass out for items and money. I was given a partial refund and sent on my way with out any assitance or sympathy. The fact that I have spent Hunderds of dollars at this store and thousands in total over the years makes my angry that I was treated as a liar. I have already advised family members as well as co workers and friends to not only stop shopping at this location but the entire chain. Knowing me they will because I used to always recommend Burlington. Never again. read more

When you first walk in it looks like a typical discount store then you pass the accesories and you're hit with the barrage of clothing racks, it looks more like a rummage sale! Definitely lacking in the organization department, it truly needs some help stat! Don't get me wrong, their prices are pretty good and you can find some fantastic deals and I'm always in search for a good bargain but the way it is set up now it really feels like a hassle to try and find things, shopping should be more of an enjoyable experience which coming here is not so much anymore! read more

Apparently they sell coats here, along with everything else. I walked in and was greeted to a huge sales floor split right in half for men and women. Then there were the escalators which lead to a home dept, luggage, shoes and oh yea coats. The store was pretty organized, they had people all over the sales floor cleaning up, so everything was in somewhat of an order. They have huge racks that are sized, and some smaller racks that have brand name clothes like Buffalo and DKNY. The suit dept is where its at, you can get a inexpensive brand name suit...sometimes. I cant imagine this place during Christmas the rest of the year its alright. read more

I was a contractor (upgraded their Credit Card and Debit swipes), along with some other stuff.. but anyway. First impression..... OMG, i'm going to get mugged before I even reach the store. It isn't very attractive. Even inside looks like you want to help out with the atmosphere. But this IS an upstairs and downstairs store. Variety makes up for the looks of the store. Not to mention the people here are indeed friendly. The store manager is super nice. For those looking for some variety in the baby department (baby depot) this is the place. It's right next to the Big and Tall for men section. And what a selection. It's like another store. Overall, yes the Clairemont looks nicer and is around other stores you may want to shop at, and is indeed cleaner looking... but this store has the selection you want. There are pros and cons to Burlington. Starting with the cons: -women's & juniors section doesn't offer much to be desired. Their clothes are either tacky, too much, or too out of season (like 5 seasons ago). I was fortunate to find one nice DKNY dress for $30 but that was the only piece of clothing that I could find that was worth buying. - they need a larger brand selection of purses. -women's shoes weren't anything worth looking into Pros: -2 stories, pretty organized and clean -friendly staff (for the most part) - I love the baby and childrens department! With one toddler & one on the way, they offer lots of cute clothing for boys and girls, and baby gear and accessories for reasonable prices. A Hurley tshirt for $3.99, a Jordan tee for $5.99, a nike pants and jacket set for $19.99 - these are awesome deals. Their selection & prices beat Marshall's, Ross, & even Nordstroms Rack when it came to toddler boys. - their men's clothing looked nice. Tons of suit pieces for less than $40/piece. My husband has found nice Michael Kors belts & Clothing as well as other brands -lots of kitchen and home goods read more

It was Ok here! it was a little crowded making it difficult to comfortably navigating through isles. My hubby ended up finding a pair of jean in his size which NEVER happens since he shops in the Big and Tall section which has few wearable items. There is suppose to be a new burlington opening near 54th street and university by North gate Market. I'll wait to see what that has in store! Parking is easy. Inside the store, I don't think the areas are very well marked, certainly not for women's business suits. They often have a very poor selection of plus sized business suits (and when they do the vast majority are only skirt suits ). The good news is that the dog toys and dog poo bags are plentiful and often come with great discounts. At peak times, the checkout line can be very long. read more

The cashier Mercedes had a nasty attitude. I think she needs to learn good manners. The company should take time time to teach their employees how to treat customers. The cashier Mercedes looked like she hated her job so much. She didn't greet us when we in the register and she had the bitch face the whole entire time she was helping us. She seemed very annoyed that she has to help us. While we were in the register a guy stole a basket of merchandise from the store and we told Mercedes that someone just stole a cart full of Burlington merchandise and all she said was "I dont get paid enough to deal with that". We recommended maybe they should have a security guard by the door and all she told us was "the security guard can't really do anything ". My husband told her that maybe a security guard can get the license plates of the car so they can call the cops and she told him that they can't do that. She is pretty much telling us that everybody can just steal anything from the store. We are a frequent customer in Burlington because they have good prices but I think I'll take my business in other location this place is and it's worker are disgusting. read more

I have only been to this location once and it is my favorite BCF location. The store was well organized, didn't have crap all over the place, and didn't smell like diapers inside the fitting rooms (in LA when you go to these discount clothing stores I swear the teenage moms change diapers in them). They also have plenty of workers and there really was no wait at the register. I bought this gorgeous babydoll lingerie with panties for less than $7. I would have bought it in other colors, but they only had one color. I also have gotten cute costume jewelry at cheap prices. They have a huge bra and panty selection with all cheap prices! Next time I just need cheap undergarments and don't care about matching, I will probably come back. -1 star for 2 things. They seem to have all the hangers overlapping over each other making a lot of the clothes knotted along with it being hard to check the size on the item. The other for having the fitting rooms video cam you while trying on the clothes (they have signs that tell you someone of the same sex is watching you). Sometimes I go braless and commando. Even Ross and Marshall's don't do that. I mean if someone gives you that number card and you leave them with the non clothing items, why do they still need to watch you as you change? read more

Hard to rate, i say more of a 3.5, I've found some great deals here, at a fraction of the cost of other stores selling the same items. The catch: the place is not very organized, at least not for men. If you dont like shopping, dont shop here! personally, i have no problems browsing through countless racks to find a deal, I rather enjoy it, which makes this place a cool find for me. However, if you dont have the patience for shopping for a while to find things, this isnt the place for you. They have incredibly cheap prices on most things as long as you are willing to look. Don't expect to find people walking around ready to help you though, it seems like everyone that works there is always behind a counter. hahaha...this place is ridiculous...and a bit on the ghetto side of life. i have found some cute stuff here for cheap...ii'll give the store that much. i also got a really good deal on some luggage. and... it's three blocks away so sometimes i just have to go. no matter what section you go to in the store, it's going to be super messy and unorganized. the clothing section is like shopping from a bargain bin on hangers...the sizes aren't ever in order and if a customer decides that they don't want something and put it on a random rack, the staff just leaves it there. the women's accessory area is just sad...half the stuff hanging up ends up on the floor. every time that i try to look through that section, i just get agitated and move on. housewares isn't as bad as the clothing section but it's still unorganized. they do have inexpensive table linens and pictures if you're patient enough to browse. i find the employees on the floor to be pretty lazy and unfriendly. i've found that the cashiers are usually nice though. it's not like i'm not going to go back to this place; it's close and cheap. if you're going to go here, be prepared to search for what you want through a messy store...maybe take a xanax or something. read more
