It can get pretty busy, but there are usually still plenty of spots. This Lululemon just opened about a month ago. I actually saw them finishing it up at the end of January and February, so now that it's fully open everything still feels super new and really nice. The store is kind of located in the middle of the mall, and when I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon there were so many people checking it out. I really love the architecture of this location. They have little touches that feel very San Diego, like a sign that says "Welcome to San Diego," which is such a cute detail. They also have a lot of new arrivals right now especially leggings with new prints, including some cheetah styles that just came out. I'd also recommend checking out their jackets. I just picked up their new white jacket with a gold zipper and it's super cute and really flattering. It was about $130, but the quality and fabric feel really nice. They also have a great men's section along with women's items, so it's definitely worth stopping by. The store is located on the second floor, and parking at Fashion Valley is free, which makes it easy to just walk around and explore the mall.

Parking on the East side around the corner is the easiest.

The location is convenient, and I always enjoy coming here, although it does tend to get busy on the weekends. My boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday morning and stopped by PacSun. One of the things I love most about PacSun is that it carries other popular brands, like Brandy Melville, which is where I do most of my shopping. While I feel that PacSun itself has lost some of its popularity and has become noticeably more expensive, the Brandy Melville section remains my favorite part of the store. I ended up purchasing a navy tube top that I absolutely loved, and I was also able to get a free T-shirt through the PacSun app. I would definitely recommend signing up for their rewards program. Overall, my experience was positive, the service was friendly, and although the store is on the smaller side, you can still find some great items.

He was so kind and sweet, helpful and listened. He made the experience feel personal and made us feel comfortable to where we didn't feel like just a customer. The section was very clean and organized making it easy to look around. Time flew by so quick! My son found a pair he absolutely loved that felt good and went with his style perfectly. I was not greeted during my entire visit and Bloomingdale's staff walked past me as if I wasn't there. On my one I found some knit casual jackets and linen shirts from Flaherty; which were nice. Unfortunately they were hung up on thin plastic hangers which marred the shoulders with the stretch-bump. Crossed into an area with Buck Mason clothing, and was finally greeted. 30 minutes after arriving. I gave the employee some shit about not coming over to greet me, like he was trapped in the section. Miles revealed to me that he worked for Buck Mason rather than Bloomingdale's. He then showed me several quality pieces perfect for summer. He introduced me to the brand; which will become a staple for me.

I also appreciate that Gap is based in California. I popped into the Fashion Valley location today, with the intention of looking for for some summery casual pants and possibly some new t-shirts. The store was nicely organized and the displays were welcoming. Sally provided excellent customer service from start to finish as well, and I was very impressed with her upbeat personality and kindness. Thanks for being a day brightener, Sally! I tried on a couple of things, and decided on some cute black pants with a white stripe. Super comfortable and flattering on. The other stuff I tried on was either cut a little weirdly for my shape, or too small. But, I'm happy with my pants. Athleta tends to be a little bit less costly than Vuori & Lululemon and not as pretentious, although their prices still skew on the higher side for athleisure in general. So while I do shop at all of these stores, I find the experience to be the most pleasant at Athleta. Mahalo!

While both of those stores consistently provide impeccable service, UO felt a bit more chaotic in comparison. I assume this has to do with the younger demographic they cater to, which also reflects in their staff, most of whom seem to be college-aged. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it does make a noticeable difference. Anthropologie and Free People employees tend to be more seasoned, more engaged, and overall just more attentive. That said, now that the holiday rush is over, I've noticed a big improvement. The sales section and fitting rooms, which used to be a mess, are now much more organized with staff actively maintaining them. The checkout line moves more smoothly, and the overall atmosphere feels less overwhelming. I didn't feel the need to leave a review before because, honestly, most retail stores deal with the same post-holiday struggles, but I have to give credit where it's due, UO has stepped up.
