Cool assortment of colors and styles and the quality and price is better than bland Vuori. I thought Fabletics was all about online and by subscription. Didn't even know they had stores and thanks to an event organized at the mall, collab between Fabletics and MixxedFit I got to know the store and loved it. Lots of discounts, especially for members. My friend is a member and got great deals (memorial Day weekend). Very pleased with the visit and thanks for the effort of putting together fitness events like this!

Purchased 10 minutes apart by me and my friend - he got the correct discount, I did not.

I'm a fitness instructor and I live in leggings, and Fabletics ads pop up on my social media all the time. Three stars for the leggings, they fit well and have held up through a HIIT workout without having to pull them up after high impact jumping moves. They have cute styles and they refresh the collection often. But my biggest gripe with Fabletics is that they tried to bait & switch me. We visited the store in Fashion Valley - I was excited to be able to see the goods in person after seeing advertisements for so long. Lots of options and inclusive sizing up to a 3x or 4x, which is great for an athletic brand. The sign outside said 60% off the entire store, so my friend and I went in. He ended up buying some things and ten minutes later I went to check out. The girl at the counter really tried to push the membership on me and then said that my discount would be 50% because the 60% was for members only. I wasn't interested in signing up so I shrugged and said ok, and made my purchase. To my dismay, when I compared receipts with my friend, he had the 60% discount and they didn't even ask him for his name or try and sell him the membership. I reached out to Fabletics via Instagram and they refunded me the extra 10% discount without zero argument or explanation on why this even happened in the first place. While their swift response is great, it shouldn't have even had to happen. When I did more research on Fabletics, I found that they have a pretty shady history of offering discounts and not actually giving them or offering a military discount only to men and excluding women service members. Their subscription is notoriously hard to cancel according to some. So I think that's the last time I'll be buying from them. Back to lululemon, Athleta, ALO, Bandier, Carbon38, Lorna Jane, and Sweaty Betty I go.

(I got the 3rd price at a Frida Kahlo look alike contest and one of the prizes was a $25 certificate to purchase something at the Bazaar del Mundo in Old Town). So excited to go back to Old Town with no traffic, not too many tourists and not too many expectations. And then found Ariana. Nice name for a woman and not bad for a store filled with surprise after surprise. If you like colorful and different type of clothes, this is your place. My first thought was that they were mostly catering older ladies, but the pieces are very versatile and several age groups friendly. They all have in common cool colors, pattern and whimsy! I spent a long time in the second floor (where the sales are, trying to maximize those $25!) and tried out wonderful dresses with no pressing, no hassle, all the time of this world. What a pity that everything I liked was either too small or too large, but equally pretty. Eventually I got a very cool tote bag with inspirational messages (by artist Kelly Rae Roberts, coincidentally one of my favorites) that was 50% off plus the cutest pair of socks depicting a very funny (who would say considering she always posed so serious) Frida Kahlo! Prices are touristy but check the upper floor for deals. The ladies working there are amazing, very helpful and have all the time the customer wants. I felt like I was invited to a home party surrounded by beautiful objects with warm women. Only missing thing for me there was a cup of tea and some cookies...I would have stayed even longer. So grateful for this prize and for discovering Adriana. I will come back and check the collection of lavender, purple and fuchsia wallets and also the Mexican silver jewelry. It was a feast for my eyes.

These two older saleswomen really made our visit sad and we won't be back. I understand, as I work in retail, how it is to have customers coming in right before closing but I would never be so rude. A simple "hello, welcome in, please be aware we will be closing at 6" would have been fine! Not even a smile or a response to my greeting from either of them... Just evil stares. While in town, I wanted to go to Old Town to pick up my favorite food at one of the restaurants in Old Town, but I thought I'd look around at some of the shops since I've been away for so long. I stopped into the Johnson House and immediately wondered why I had never bought anything there. Everything in there is so fabulous. There was a purse there that was so shiny and pretty, and it kept calling to me: "You want me. Buy me. I'll be your Christmas present. I love you and I know you love me." Well... how could I deny that little purse a forever home? I bought it and used it that very night at a Christmas Eve dinner party. From now on, whenever I visit my mom, I'm going to go to the Johnson house and make a purchase. I can't wait to see what I'm going to buy the next time I'm in San Diego. :) P.S. My mom and I had Christmas buffet at Humphreys on 12/25 and I put my little purse on our table as a centerpiece. It was so pretty! The best part is that within five minutes, a customer walked past our table and told me that my purse made the perfect centerpiece! And it did! It really did! I LOVE my colorful gem purse. We met Hannah and Hannah who were running the shop and they were absolutely lovely! You can tell they put so much time and effort into making this place what it is. Besides the fact that parking is a frank issue in this location, what with currently unenforceable requirements to pay for parking (either managed by the private lot or by the City), assuming this is also meant for people who are just stopping by to drop something off, this location is small but very quaint. It is very prone to being very crowded. However, the décor is a worthy sight for sore eyes: it truly is a lovely setup they have. I encountered a couple of lovely women who appeared to be running the shop, and inquired about how much clothing they're willing to take. It seems that they can only take a heavily limited amount of such, and I was able to drop off a kitchen trash bag's worth of clothes. I didn't complain, because I understand (at least mostly, since I fully realised and acknowledged it shortly after I left) the limited capacity they have to work with. The entire transaction was painless and easy. I do recommend stopping here for the reasons above, and to be reasonably wary of the environment you will be getting yourself into. I plan on coming here again if I ever have to donate anything in particular.

The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping.
