I am a manager at an apartment complex and someone's order was sent to my complex. (Shes Not a past or current tenant)I tried so hard to return it so she didn't get charged for an order she didn't receive. Old navy made it so hard for me to do that. The customer service line gave me a couple different options that didn't work, then I decided to just take it into a store, but they were even hesitant to take it. It wasn't opened or tampered with. 6-24-22 We found success at this Old Navy after canvassing the rows of clothing systematically. Categories of clothing were situated well so you could easily find what you're looking for. Lots of cute short distressed cut off shorts I'd gladly have given a second glance at but wanted to at least put a little more effort at being presentable just in case. I'm black American i go to old navy in point loma maybe twice a year to buy my flip flops. I went the other night and all eyes were on me I felt really uncomfortable. I remember while looking at earrings near the front the manager told the cashier to keep an eye on me every 30 seconds. I pretended not to hear. I haven't been in this store in a long time. It was pretty awesome to see all the fashions they carry. Something for everyone young adults, teens, children and a mature woman like me because I am big on fashion (LOL). I love shopping at Old Navy for my skinny jeans since I lost two pant sizes. However, this location was busy. They had a lot to choose from in my size but I dropped what I had and didn't want to wait in line. Everything in the store was 40% off. I had a $5.00 voucher but decided to wait to use it. Maybe next time. I could have walked out with lots of things but selection here was good. I definitely like this location and would come back here to shop. I'm surprised to see it busy at night. Typing this with literal tears in my eyes. The loss prevention at this store is in unmarked attire and there job is to walk around and follow people and I was followed around the store by a strange man before figuring out it was loss prevention following me around which as a women who has been a victim of stalking and Sexual assault made me feel entirely unsafe and quite frankly triggered my PTSD . The loss prevention relentlessly followed me around the store my entire time at the store. I had called my husband to let him know I was being followed by a strange man and was scared and honestly I was so scared I almost called the police because I initially had no idea why this man was following me around the store . I figured out it was loss prevention when I heard him silently and sneakily talk in to his radio to another employee in which said employee said "idk where she went" . I have been a loyal old navy customer and have never experienced this kind of blatant disrespect to their customers. I am Puerto Rican with very intense Afro Latina features (essentially I look black) I can only imagine why they chose to follow me! To be abundantly clear I'm not upset about them having loss prevention I'm upset that they're undercover and when they do chose to target you you don't know if it's just a strange man following you or what the deal is because they are in unmarked clothing. When I finished picking my clothes out I went to pay for my things (which probably shocked everyone cause they were certain because of the color of my skin I was going to steal). I told the cashier with tears in my eyes I had been followed around the store and your undercover loss prevention is not very good he acknowledged all that I said and confirmed that yes i had been followed. I asked to speak to the managers in which they validated that, yes I was being followed , yes loss prevention was targeting me. I'm appreciative that they validated my feelings and didn't try to lie. I explained to them how unsafe I felt as a women to be followed by a strange man all over the store. How unfair it was to be targeted. This is one of the best Old Navy's in San Diego. The location is great and the employees are always friendly. They seem to really care about helping you find anything and also making the checkout lines move as fast as possible. There is always a good selection of items in store. I was there last night on Thanksgiving for their Black Friday sale and the store was clean and there were plenty of employees to help. I love Old Navy. I always buy the khakis to wear to work and love their jeans. My favorite item they carry are thier pajama bottoms. They are great quality. The prices cannot be beat. I buy my son his flip flops, swim wear and shirts here. They are great quality for a low price. I do think their jeans for kids are a great price so I rarely buy them. From the store looking messy with tons of go backs everywhere, to them being out of many sizes of each item I was looking for, to no one asking if they could help me when I was very clearly trying to find a particular item....the list goes on. The worst part of the shopping trip was at check out when literally every item rang up full price as opposed to the listed sale prices on the signs. I love Old Navy because you can find clothes and gifts for everyone here! The sale after Christmas is awesome! I got my husband's T-shirt off the clearance rack for less than $2.00. They had an extra 75% off sale items. The gentleman at the resister also informed me I can come back on Wednesday when they do more markdowns to see if I can get a later discount on the full prices cost I bought. I also had been searching everywhere for slippers but in all the stores they are sold out or too expensive. The moccasin slippers I wanted from Old Navy were few and far between. I was walking around one more time and saw the mannequin wearing the same slippers. I asked a sales associate to help check the size for me and it was a size 7!!!! It truly made my day. Am I just too picky when it comes to clothes shopping? I wouldn't think so, since I *am* the girl who spends way too much money at places like The Closet. So why am I having such a hard time with Old Navy and Marshalls? I expected a lot - they're always going on about their quality and the sales and selection and all. Yet, I didn't find that to be true, in either location. I came in specifically looking to spend money, yet it was hard to find anything that I actually wanted to part money on. Naturally, I hit the sale section first, and it was pure chaos. There was no rhyme or reason to the way things were hanging, so it took a bit of doing, going through everything to weed out the good items (not many). And then, when we rounded the corner to head to the men's section, we ran into a wall of people. The line for the dressing rooms was out of control. Apparently everybody wanted to try on their tank tops at the same time. The men's sale section wasn't much better, though their regular clothes (non-sale items) section at least had some organization to it. I ended up camping one of the Quick Change booths, and snagged one the second it was vacated. It looked like an employee had not poked their head into there in about four years. There were piles of clothes taller than me (not saying much, I know...), and there were clothes that had been tossed on the ground. And if you know about those Quick Change booths, you know that they're not very spacious. So we were battling for space with each other and the piles of clothing, all while trying to stay within the confines of the curtain. We did end up purchasing items for my husband, so I can say that the cashier was friendly and quick. She had us rung up and bagged before we knew it, which was nice, considering I was starting to feel the need for sunshine and fresh air. They just seemed a bit overpriced, for a company that has commercials singing the praises of their cost-efficient clothing options. read more

This store is located in Mission Valley. I like this store and the staff. Each time that I have been here the staff has been super friendly. The most recent occasion was for a Back to School shopping event for a charitable organization that I volunteer with. The staff opened the store an hour early to accommodate the event. They eagerly helped the volunteers and the foster kids. On top of that, the kids received a discount on their total bill. I love coming to Old Navy to stock up on tshirts. My favorites are the holiday tshirts, like 4th of July - you can get the graphic t's for around $5. Which is a steal. I love it. And the quality is not too shabby. Recently I have been buying their jeans. their selection of sizes and styles has changed over the years for the better. I like it. And the price is pretty decent- less than $25. Came here twice in one week. I did an online order and some of the stuff didn't fit. I tried to look for other things but the store was definitely lacking sizes. I found some tops and didn't realize until I got home one of them had a dirt like pattern on it which I didn't like. So went later on that week to return it. Both times the same lady helped me. She wasn't very nice to me. I'm always nice. I asked her how she was doing didn't say anything. She handed me my receipt and said nothing after that. I said bye have a nice day nada! Twice! The two times I went she was in a bad mood or she has horrible customer service skills and shouldn't be in the front. She needs to work stock where she doesn't have to deal with people. Just saying. You have to give them props for having a maternity section at all, since very few stores do. And really, considering it's a store with maternity clothes as opposed to a maternity store, it's selection is somewhat large. Picture a 10ftx8ft area. Not great, but it's better than the single rack at Kohls. I had trouble finding my size in a lot of items, which doesn't necessarily mean they weren't there... it just means I got too frustrated digging through the disorganized piles to continue. So I left empty handed, but with enough confidence to go online to OldNavy.com and give their clothes a try, since they looked relatively cute in-store. And good thing, because I discovered that oldnavy.com is pretty much the number one spot for maternity clothes. Every pregnant woman should shop there, if only for a few of their flattering, colorful, cute, and CHEAP ribbed tanks. Their selection is at least twenty-five times the size of the in-store selection and they run sales ALL THE TIME. The only negative about OldNavy.com is that they won't allow you to return maternity items in store, which frustrates me. I just can't wrap my head around the reason why Old Navy stores with maternity sections won't accept them. If you don't like an item, you have to pay $6.00 to ship it back to OldNavy, which is both inconvenient and annoying. Keep that in mind. Anyway, the Old Navy Mission Valley is a good spot to go if you need something same-day and have a few hours to kill sorting through their mess of a maternity section. Maybe you've bought into the hype about 'luon' fabric and it's amazing moisture wicking abilities, but guess what? The performance active wear at Old Navy does too and at a fraction of the cost! From yoga apparel to sexy maxi dresses to classy office attire, Old Navy is my go to place for clothes that are inexpensive, stylish and durable. My only hang up is that you often do need to try them on because not all mediums/larges are created equal. And maybe it's a pipe dream, but I'd like to see "Made in America" on the label - even if it means the price increases. I love Old Navy. They have really done well with keeping up with current styles and trends and I can always find what I want and need. I started shopping at Old Navy really because I able to shop for all of my nieces, myself and my husband all in one store. It makes shopping so easy to be able to get everyone done at once. There are always sales going on and if you get their e-mails you always know when a good sale is going on. You can also shop during a time to get Old Navy cash for extra coupons. If you have an Old Navy credit card you can use that and work to get extra Old Navy money on purchases. I always use mine to get even better deals. This store itself is in a great location surrounded by a bunch of other stores so you can do all of your shopping. The staff is also friendly and always helpful. I highly suggest it here! read more

I have always been a big fan of Old Navy tees, tanks and the like, but for the longest time the only jeans they offered were made for very slight figures. If The jeans fit my rear, it was guaranteed the waistband would be so gapingly large I'd look like I was wearing clown pants. I was absolutely floored to discover jeans that FIT on my last trek there. On a whim I tried a couple pairs on, and I about fainted that The Sweetheart line was flattering and fit!!!! The exact jeans I'd tried on in the store were on sale online, so I placed an order. I was very pleased to discover returns can be made in the store on online purchases too. Overall a very nice place for casual and comfy clothes, but I leave work clothes to other retail establishments. I have a pair of pants and a skirt I bought there holding up okay, but otherwise all other clothing I've bought for work from there tends to not take the wear as well. I did just want to say on thing that I only needed one small item where shipping to my house was not worth it. I ordered it online for curbside pick up, and it was the EASIEST thing ever. I called when I got to the designated spots out front and called, the girl who spoke to me was so specific in her questions! Do I want the bag in the trunk or back seat passenger side, did I want her to open/close the door or for me to do it, she asked me to stay in the car with the windows rolled up and just show my ID through the window. Honestly I think its the safest pick up I have had during COVID, and I really appreciate these kinds of policies. I will not hesitate to pick up again in the future knowing how easy it is! read more

*I work at Old Navy in a different state* When I walked in the building I already knew what I was looking for. When I couldn't find my size I asked one of the employees if they could help me and they seemed annoyed (which I can understand because they were finishing up truck and were rushing) she then questioned if I had even looked for my size before I asked if they had any (like I am incapable of looking)... But they did find my size up top on the display mannequin which I was happy about. So that was a 3 star experience.. A few days later I had returned some pants that didn't fit so I went in to return.. didn't wait long.. and was greeted as soon as I walked in!! My cashiers name was (I believe) Wakeem. He was so sweet, big smile!! Asked how my day was, he was quick, and he made sure I knew about the credit card and survey (which of course is a must at old navy!!). I've worked within the company for 3 years and I've never met such a nice employee while visiting another location! Shout out to Wakeem!! I like that old navy is cheap but: You get what you pay for. I ordered online because I live far away. 3 of the clothes have had tears on the seams and they won't take back if they have been worn. The first time it happened I got it and just ate the closet, but the next 2 times I tried to bring back but they won't take them or will give me 1 dollar for each. It's just not worth it unless you try everything on, and check for rips and tears. It's just not worth it. I have shopped many brands and clearly a pattern of poorly put together clothing. I have not shopped at an Old Navy in a long time. I used to get clothes here in high school (not at this location) and remembered the clothes would typically wear out within a year or so. I am somewhat surprised that the quality of the clothes have progressed since and some of their sweaters and dress shirts have some style to them. They have good sales often. Today I was able to pick up some solid colored thermals for roughly $12 each (normal price was around $18). The store is fairly organized and everything is easy to find. This place is a total dump. I find it astounding that they think that I would spend money in a place that looks so disgusting. There are more clothes on the floor than on the racks. This is worse than any Ross. Clothes were covering the floor and people were just walking on top of them. It's sad because eventually they will finally get picked up (hopefully?!) and put back on he racks and you will be trying on clothes other people have stood all over.
