PACSUN @ FASION VALLEY This is a great store to stop by if you're visiting Fashion Valley. I recommend parking near Zara, as H&M and PacSun are very close to that parking area. The location is convenient, and I always enjoy coming here, although it does tend to get busy on the weekends. My boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday morning and stopped by PacSun. One of the things I love most about PacSun is that it carries other popular brands, like Brandy Melville, which is where I do most of my shopping. While I feel that PacSun itself has lost some of its popularity and has become noticeably more expensive, the Brandy Melville section remains my favorite part of the store. I ended up purchasing a navy tube top that I absolutely loved, and I was also able to get a free T-shirt through the PacSun app. I would definitely recommend signing up for their rewards program. Overall, my experience was positive, the service was friendly, and although the store is on the smaller side, you can still find some great items. read more

First off the organization is terrible. There was a jacket I was going to buy that was tagged $28 we get to the register and its $170.. Thats terrible and the two employees didn't even care they were rude about it. Terrible service. I ended up buying a brandy melville hoodie and I came home and it still had the sensor. This same issue has happened multiple times and the blonde employee helping me had been helping me the same times theres been a sensor. We've come here a few times since my daughter enjoys shopping here. The line was long when I got there, but they had cleared it up for the most part by the time we checked out. They have a large selection of shirts and pants. The prices are reasonable, not the most expensive I've seen. It's got a trendy vibe to be sure, the workers here can't be older than 25, but I suppose most of the clientele isn't either. I would give the customer service here a 3. I don't usually visit the mission valley mall but when I do I always have to stop by this store! The associates are always so welcoming and helpful around the store. I had someone who I'm assuming was one of the managers and an associate help me accomplish my Christmas shopping tonight! Thank you Taz and Racho(?)(sorry!!!). They were so determined that I find the perfect gifts and that's just what we did! Both of them are so hilarious and have such a bubbly personality! Bought a pair of shoes for Christmas gift on Black Friday (they weren't on sale but thought I'd get my shopping done & my daughter was there to try them on)...stood in line forever & the guy who went to get the shoes brought out the wrong shoe first & then my daughter tried one of the correct style of shoe on & it fit. The checkout initially took forever - computer issues w/ their system which tracks your purchases for rewards...but we finally paid & left w/ the shoes. Bought them & wrapped them up (b/c it was a gift & she knew she had to wait for them). Christmas comes & the gifts are opened, the paper & boxes are thrown in the recycling bin. A few days later my daughter comes to me & says we have a problem...she's put her new shoes on & one of them doesn't fit...turns out we have a size 7 women's shoe & a size 7 mens shoe. And the box has been recycled. We pack those shoes up & bring them back to the store (granted it's New Years weekend b/c we live in Arizona & don't get here that often) but thought it was best to return the shoes to the store that made the mistake so they could fix it eventually for the other person that must have the wrong shoes Or they must have them in their store. After a half an hour trying to explain the difference in men/women shoe sizing & the sales associates trying to find the correct shoes...they don't have them. They call the manager & then tell me that without the box they cannot issue a refund to my credit card or store credit b/c their system doesn't have my purchase in their rewards system (which they have looked up 10 x's while I'm standing there & this never occurred to them before). All the manager Jason can tell me over the phone is that he can direct me to another store in Az that will exchange the shoes b/c he can't without the box or the reward system showing they were purchased there...basically pass the buck to another store b/c he doesn't want to own up to the fact that his staff can't tell the difference between men/women shoes. Long story short - we won't be spending any more money at this store again. Not helpful staff and manager. Poor customer service. Antiquated computer system. A bad experience all together. If I could give a no star on this rating I would. read more

Pure customer service rating, not about the product since I didn't buy anything. Josh is the man. He's so high energy and willing to help. Didn't see my pants in the store and he yells from the back "where you going!?!" With a smile. Looked in the back and found my pants. Pants didn't end being for me (the style) so he recommended a couple other places with that color but different styles. Called to see if Pacsun had a tank top I bought for my boyfriend in store in the beginning of the month & his cousin wanted another one the exact same to send to TX for a family member & I call the store to see if they had anymore in stock, Josh had picked up & greeted me very nicely & asked for a quick moment for him to check & came back & told me that if I came in before they close at 9pm, I could order the tank top there at the store through him & it would be free shipping. From the moment he answered the phone, to the moment he kept me on hold while he went to check for the tank top & did things on the computer, then from coming back to the phone, he was very friendly & had very good customer service! Beyond horrible store!! I went in because I saw a buy one get one free sale. I picked out 3 different items on racks that had the buy one get one free signs and none of them were qualified for the sale. What is the point of having clothes placed on racks with the sale signs when to find out at the register they do not qualify. BS store and worst organization possible. This store must close down due to lack of common sense!! Simple stuff to run a store and promote specials. Organize your stuff accordingly!! Management must hold their employees accountable and employees must work and at least organize instead of hanging out and talking about wetzel pretzels!! read more

Even though they have a good collection of clothes but with such bad customer service + the "I don't give a shit" attitude from the male manager, I would never ever come back again. Overall, I like this store. My teenage son likes it here and my husband often peruses through their shoe and slipper selections. I often find more frequent sales and deals here than I would, say at, Zumiez. Not quite the same store, I know. But my son shops at both for the brands and shoes offered and as a paying parent, I'd prefer to shop here. The service is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have a much larger selection to search through for both men and women. I'd recommend this place :) read more

I went to this store trying to return something that I bought at the Escondido location. I guess the associate from the Escondido store scanned an item twice instead of scanning every single item, so the store manager at the mission valley store said he couldn't do anything for me but an exchange. It's like, c'mon, why would u do an exchange for an item that wasn't even scanned, I mean, if you're gonna do that, u should just go ahead and go through with the return. But he did not let me return the item because of this companies' mistake. This manager gets very defensive. He asked me where I bought the items and I said the Escondido store, but that I live closer to the mission valley location. And he was like, "all I asked was where you got it from" and I was like, damn, sorry! I guess pacsun does not value customer service. Customer service is about making your customer feel like family...but all they wanna do at this pacsun is sell, they do not care about the customer, they just want to make that money. This manager also had a problem with 2 other customers while I was the 2nd one waiting in line for about 10-15 minutes. I would just say not to shop at PacSun mission valley. Go to Escondido, it's quite a drive, but at least they'll treat you like they care about you and your experience at pacsun. read more

Horrible customer service. I walked in and was greeted by a guy didn't bother to tell me what sales were going on (Mind you I went on Memorial Day when theres tons of stores with sales). Didn't think much of it at first and proceeded to reading their posters. I found a cute LA Hearts Romper that was on a rack that said Dresses, Rompers And jumpsuits buy 1 get 1 50% and proceeded to look for a second item towards the back of the store. As I walked to the back I saw they had some shorts buy 1, get 1- 50% off, some shorts buy 1, get 1-free & some clearance stuff at the back. I also found a 2nd rack with dresses & rompers but couldn't find anything I liked. I asked a second guy who was working the register if I could combine a dress with shorts (as I work in retail and I know sometimes you can mix and match) he proceeded to tell me "mm yeah I think you can." & I replied, "So I can mix and match items? & he replied, "I'm pretty sure you can." I had this confused face like what do you mean pretty sure, its either a yes or no. & he told me, "I'm pretty sure you can except for the Brandy stuff (Brandy Melville) & i said okay. I tried on some shorts and I decided to take them. When he charged me I noticed I did not get the bogo deal & I asked the guy. & he said oh yeah I guess you can't mix and match. LIKE WTF!!! I was here for more than an hour trying to find 2 rompers/dresses, couldn't find any and had to look for something else to then take it and they say no!! I was so pissed off. There was another girl working there who didn't even know wtf she was talking about. Another customer asked her about some shorts that were on the buy 1 get 1 free table and she said, "No, all the shorts are buy 1 get 1 50%off", to which the customer pointed to the poster and says "but it says right there they are buy 1 get 1 free." The employee just replied, "Oh thats new to me, I didn't know." HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW IF YOU WORK HERE! I literally just walked out and the girl employee still asks me you're not gonna take the romper? ...mmmm no I can't even get help. Nobody in that store knew what the deals were.. and I asked 3 people. I seriously have never had customer service like this. My daughter and I shop here a lot. In fact, it is one of her favorite stores. I never had an issue with the manager at this store until this past Tuesday. I had a purchase that I made for my daughter at the Escondido store which I wasn't sure would fit her. The size small looked tiny, but they did not have a medium or a large. She usually likes to wear her clothes not too form fitting. The sales associate at the Escondido store offered to ship it out to me or call another store because my daughter needed it right away. I told her I would look to see if they had it at another store and exchange there if they had it. She assured me that it wouldn't be a problem if I exchange for another size. I took the shirt home and my daughter tried it on and told me it was too small and she wanted a medium. Well, this past Tuesday I went to the Mission Valley store with the intent of either exchanging it for a bigger size or if they did not have it in stock, to purchase something else. Well, the male manager working on the morning shift is usually really friendly when you're purchasing something. However, after looking for the top and seeing that they did not have my daughter's size, I decided to look for another shirt she wanted. I asked the manager if they had a larger size or the shirt I was looking for and he said no, but he could order it and send it to my house. Well, I wasn't sure how long it would take and as I said before, my daughter wanted the shirt to wear with her new shoes this week. So, I decided to just return the shirt and give her the money for it. Well after that decision not to purchase or exchange the shirt, this male manager's attitude towards me totally changed!!! He asked me where do I live and if I lived closest to the Escondido store? I told him what area I lived and he had the nerve to say to me, "Oh, so that's what you do...purchase at the Escondido store and then return it here at the Mission Valley store!" I was shocked that he said that! How dare he after many purchases that we've made say that to a customer! I told him what the sales associate at the other store had told me and he replied, "Oh, so they tell you that you can exchange it at another store if they don't have it at theirs so they can just get the sale?!" Really?! After that comment, I will never purchase anything at that store as long as he is there working! I believe I exchanged one other sweater at that store that I purchased elsewhere because there was a rip on the side of the sweater! I didn't do a return, but an exchange! Besides I don't think their stores care or inspect their merchandise if it's damaged! I was shopping there another time and I noticed another shirt I picked up to look at had a hole on the side also and I mentioned it to an employee and he said, "oh wow!" He took the shirt from me and went ahead and folded it and it put it back in it's place after we walked away! He didn't know I saw him do that! I thought the male manager at this store was rude and he also made a comment when I was trying to look for something else to purchase that I saw on-line! He whispered under his breath after sighing and said, " I've got so much to do!" It was as if I was in the way! Hello, I'm a customer! If he was a little more patient and helpful, he could have turned that return into an exchange or a bigger purchase! I'm a sucker that way, if the sales associate is friendly to me, I feel bad and end up purchasing a large amount of items! An example of that was right before Christmas at the Horton Plaza store when the sales associate practically waited on me! She got a large sale from me! I may go to other stores, but it's only to see if they have other things or items that they did not have at the previous store I visited! read more
