I ordered several items from Tilly's and when they arrived a pair of swim trunks were not in the package. The package had been taped up with packing tape and was dirty. The biggest disappointment though was that after several emails and phone calls, Tilly's said their warehouse packed the shorts and basically "Oh well, take it up with the authorities or your bank" and they refused to send me a new pair or give a store credit. If you look up reviews on the store everyone says the same thing about how the company doesn't replace missing or damaged items. What BS. Tilly's customer service is garbage and the company is disreputable. If they want to send items in shoddy packaging they should be prepared to back it up if the items are damaged or missing by the time they get to their destination. I'm very unhappy with this company which sucks because now me and my family won't shop here again. read more

My daughter bought some clothes from Tilly's back in June and was given a tracking number. While it says the item has been delivered and signed, we didn't receive anything on our end. We have checked with our neighbors if it was accidentally delivered to them but no one received anything so far. We also checked with Tillys and apparently, they have checked with FedEx and confirmed that it has been delivered to us. So they closed the case and basically said it's not their problem now. Well, the case closed on their side, but what about us? We paid $70 over and get nothing because YOU chose an unreliable delivery company, and you don't take responsibility for it? They suggested we file a police report. Well, what will the police do in this case? Unfortunately, my daughter paid by debit card so she can't even dispute the charges. She is 16 and does not have a credit card. The scary part is when I went to Trustpilot to write a review, there were so many similar cases like mine. Why didn't they do anything? Buyers stay away. Read all the reviews that are out there. They claim they shipped your item/items to find out it never arrives. Customer service was horrible and they ended up robbing us of $110! No refund or replacement. This is absolute nonsense and literally robbery. I do not know how they are getting away with this, should have read the hundreds of reviews of other people that this has happened to. The reviews are no joke folks. If you like throwing your money in to a garbage disposal, then place your order with this company. In the fight to get some kind of reimbursement etc it was almost 10 phone calls, emails, talking with a store manager and endless frustration while they make false claims and accusations only to tell you to kick rocks. OK, my last two orders: They entice you with free or reduced shipping, at times, even say you qualify for free shipping and then guess what?? You wait for weeks and weeks to receive your order. My last order has still not been received and it has been 25 days since I have paid. They blame the carrier. Come on! get a new carrier. Are the orders coming by camel? Despite that the website states they ship to APO addresses, I can assure you this is a well-documented lie. Two shipments (one original, one re-ship) addressed to an APO were returned to Tilly's by FedEx as "undeliverable." One Tilly's CSR completely ignored my question asking what measures were being taken to avoid more delivery snafus. Another CSR assured the re-shipped package would be "delivered as addressed" but not before completely throwing FedEx under the bus. On explaining this to a third CSR on the phone, she said they do not ship to APOs. I corrected her and asked to speak to a manager. The (now FOURTH) manager-level CSR offered to send my shipment to my home address which I confirmed, and when I agreed (because now I have no choice but to ship this to the APO myself) and requested it be overnighted, she said "We can't overnight this to an APO address." I had to remind her that my home address is not an APO. This has been going on for almost a month and to say this is unacceptable is a gross understatement. read more

I've had a terrible first experience as a customer buying online from Tilly's. First, they offer "fast and free shipping" which is a bald faced lie. They use FedEx SmartPost which depending on where you are combines the worst of two shipping companies, FedEx Ground (no affiliation with FedEx Express, they are merely contractors) and USPS Parcel Post. That means you're lucky if you receive your package at all let alone in less than two weeks. I purchases a pair of Ray-Bans 12 days ago. They were shipped from CA to CT the day they were ordered. It has now been 11 days and the package has been wandering through Illinois and Ohio since the 3rd day of the shipment! So, as it stands, 11 days after I purchased and paid for these sunglasses, they are sitting somewhere in Ohio, quite a ways from CT. Worst of all, I leave tomorrow morning for a three week vacation. It would have been nice to have the sunglasses but what I'm really concerned about is the likelihood they will be "delivered" while I'm gone. I live in a rural area with a driveway that is over 1/4 mile long. USPS and FedEx NEVER come to my front door. They simply leave the package hanging from my mailbox. FedEx (during COVID) typically has their driver sign for the delivery. Should that occur over the next several days, I seriously doubt the package will still be hanging from my mailbox when I get back from vacation. I spoke with someone at Tilly's and they confirmed for me if the tracking indicated the package had been delivered and signed for, they would not do anything if the it's missing upon my return! I've contacted people I know to try and keep an eye out for any delivery but, really, how can I expect them to be that vigilant? Normally, when something is shipped to my by FedEx Ground (Home) I can redirect the shipment to my local Walgreens. UPS drives up my driveway and leaves packages on my porch (no one is going to wander onto my property in the hopes of finding a package they can steal) and USPS Priority deliveries result in a note in my mailbox. Tilly's is so cheap and cares so little about the customer experience that they conceal the method of shipping until you have checked out. No quality retailer who gives a damn about their customers would use FedEx Smart Post, it's a joke and I know this first hand because my business has me shipping items all over the world. SmartPost is a horrible excuse for a way to transport merchandise and yet, it's Tilly's "Fast and Free" method! Please people keep in mind, their customer service is next to nil. They can't even be bothered to try and help. It's not like they have the absolute lowest prices or exclusivity on the best brands. Shop elsewhere and save yourself from the possibility of an awful experience like mine. I will post here again when I return from my vacation to add to this unfortunate tale. My gut feeling is I'll be looking for new sunglasses and be SOL with any claim agains FedEx or Tilly's. NEVER AGAIN TILLY'S. read more

HONEST REVIEW!! Never been to this mall before or any tillys, i went in the store 5 minutes before closing and ended up finding a bag I loved/got! From what i saw they have a wide vairety and allow you to come in until 9:00 no matter how close it is to that time they will let you finish paying and leave. They both were about fingertip length before and after washing they were more like shirts. I followed directions for washing- cold on delicate cycle. I don't understand how this place could have so many bad reviews, because literally every time that I come in here, somebody welcomes me in and follows up with me at the fitting room or on the floor. It's very clear that they hire certain people who have open personalities! I went in on Thursday and Cher was such a sweetheart! She helped me out at the fitting room and through my transaction. The store itself has really cute clothing- women's, men's, and kids! And not just clothing but shoes and backpacks as well. Some things may be a little pricier but their clearance section has a good selection of cute stuff as well. I definitely recommend going here, they keep the store organized and up to date with the styles. Cher was also not the only one to help me, the other times I've been here, a worker would always attend me. Their customer service is great read more

Normally, you would never find me in a Tilly's. I have too many curves to be fitting into the clothes they carry. However, I seem to find it ridiculously hard to find a decent priced, original JanSport backpack these days. One that doesn't have a unflattering print, and is less than $30. I came to Tilly's because I know they carry them, and because Eric needed some swim shorts for our upcoming Coachella trip, and he buys the boys largest size pants, because its thin like a toothpick. I was browsing, because I really do like some of the stuff they have, and strangely enough found a pair of shorts, I figured, Hey, I'll try these on. Heather, was working the fitting room, and asked me if I was ready, when I blurted out "Do you carry Men's swim shorts?" HELLO, I thought, LOOK where you freaking are, stupid. She was nice though, and showed me around the store, and told me which ones were cheaper, even though none I found were small enough. Back to the backpacks. The selection isn't as good as I had remembered. They do have the originals, black, blue, baby blue. I opted for the baby blue one, and realized I had been totally tricked when she turned it around, and the back was brown. Blah! I bought it anyway, and the shorts that make me look fat, (I'll probably return them) and now I am almost fully equipped for the weekend. read more

I was always a big fan of Tilly's until I went into this store. It was about 2 p.m. on a Tuesday, and I was literally the only customer in there. They had about five people working. When I walked in, three workers were chatting at the register, no big deal, I get it, it's slow. But at least say "hi" to me, or look in my direction. I was shopping for jeans. After about 10 minutes of browsing, I was surprised no one came up to greet me or ask if I needed help because at the usual Tilly's I go to in El Cajon, the workers are up my butt the second I walk in the door. (I mean that in the best way possible-they are very helpful workers.) But no one asked if I needed anything, and I did. I noticed their juniors jean selection was very limited, so I walked up to the two workers by the dressing room who were chatting with each other. I made eye contact and the girl said she would be with me in a minute. I browsed around that area for five more minutes while they continued their conversation about the sick party they were at that weekend. I finally walked to the register, made eye contact with a worker who definitely saw me and immediately turned around to do something else. I said "excuse me, I have a question about your denim" to which there was no reply or acknowledgement. After five more minutes of standing there, I walked out of the store. Seriously?? It's one thing to be busy and have a store full of customers, I get that. But I'm the only customer in here and no one said a word to me. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! So I'd been obsessing over this one O'Neill bikini for a few weeks. Sadly it was sold out everywhere and I could not find it in stores or online. Luckily I chose to drive down to Tilly's in Mission Valley to see if they had it in store. They had one top left, but it was the wrong size. I went over and asked one of the guys behind the register if he could call the closest Tilly's location to see if they might have some left. Not only did he call the closest location, but he took the time to call all the locations within San Diego county, until he finally tracked down a top in my size! I love this store, there great window displays really got me in there today. The floor staff was right on me with attention. Found a couple things for my GF for Valentine's Day gifts. When I went to cash register I stood there for ten minutes while two online returns were being helped. I watched the manager help them but not open another register ? There was four other people in line.... As a small business owner, I really couldn't understand why the manager didn't take more control over the inpatients of us all. I put my stuff down and left. I bought two swimsuits last week from this store. I wore one without issue. I wore the second one yesterday for the first time while in the pool/hot tub at my apartment, and it now covered in what resembles bleach stains. I called the store to see if I could get a refund or at least store credit, and they could not do anything because 1. I wore it, and 2. It's not a manufacturer defect because the tag says no bleach and I wore it in a chlorinated pool and hot tub. I'm sorry, but it is SWIMWEAR. If their product cannot be used for its most common purpose, then it should be clearly labeled as such. It does not even have a brand name tag on it, so I can't contact the manufacturer. Also, I can't even find the product on the store website. The tag does say made in Mexico, so maybe the store buyer got quite a deal across the border. They refuse to grant refunds for subpar products, so I suppose it does not matter what they sell in their store. They clearly don't seem to care one way or the other, which is really sad. This was my first time purchasing something from this company, and I am not impressed with the product or the customer service, and will not be back. :/ read more

First off if I could give this company or lack there of.. Zero stars I would! Horrible Horrible customer service! And lord forbid you pay for an item to get to faster than normal shipping because you will pay for it and still wait 2 weeks before it even arrives at your door step. THEN if you need to return an item you purchased on their website you CANNOT return it in store! So you then have to package the item up and send it out ONLY for it to take nearly 3 weeks just to make it back to the warehouse...WHERE it now has sat for almost 2 months without being processed to refund my money... Customer service will give you the run around, constantly tell you they are short staffed... I get COVID...BUT 2 months is to long for an item to be processed... So if you are looking to purchase ANYTHING from this site.. prepare yourself to not get it in a timely manner... DON'T pay for faster shipping you will get ripped off...AND you better hope it fits or you like it because it will be a year before you get your refund! read more

Do NOT buy anything online because you won't get it. Ordered online and they sent an email saying the order was cancelled. Ordered again in a different size, order was cancelled without any notification whatsoever. I called to find out what was going on with my order and waited on hold for 30 minutes to find out they never planned on telling me it was cancelled. Their answer was "sorry, we can't do anything for you." Really?! You take my money and never plan on shipping the item I ordered?! HORRIBLE!!
