Great service from Robert in getting a pair of jeans to try before buying, shipped in for a line of RL jeans they haven't carried in-store for a while . It's a great level of customer service and old school street shop vibe that represents the best of the brand. read more

I came to return a pair of pants the other day that I ordered online and the sales associate was quick to help me. The store is wonderfully arranged in that traditional Ralph Lauren style that we all know I love. In the past, I purchased a lot of articles of clothing from this business, and the sales associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to doing future business with this store. read more

The condescending and unhelpful sales associates make shopping at this location such a lame experience, even when you're excited to shop and spend $$$. Disappointing. Won't be back. read more

Just came in to do a return and was treated rudely by sales associates who I guess assumed I was too young to spend any real money there, they made it abundantly clear that I was unwelcome and that they wanted me out as soon as possible. read more

Sales Associate was rude and condescending when I asked if they carried "petite" sizes. She rudely replied "no, only our online store carries petite in the lower price point. The Ralph Lauren Lauren line. We at THIS STORE only carry the higher end. And I am petite and so is the other associate and we find clothes just fine in here." (Harsh tone) Wow. Ok lady. A simple "no we don't have petites and go check online" would have sufficed. She made it a point to mention "lower price point" "higher end" and "she and the other associate find clothes just fine". Maybe she was having a bad day and I was the one she conveniently took it out on. You shouldn't make someone feel bad or beneath you/your brand. read more

Don't waste your time by even entering this store. I came in here twice this afternoon to purchase some clothing for my mother in law and the scrawny old white woman wouldn't even look at us or acknowledge our existence either time. Maybe if we were whiter looking they would have appreciated us shopping there. Dusty old white customer got impeccable service though. You do the math. read more

I ordered some items online and I had to return 3 of them in the store, the person who took my return told me that it was Sunday and he needed to make to call customer service on Monday because they do not work on Sundays, then I left my 3 items with him, the next week I checked my refund and this guy only processed two items instead of three items. read more

My recent experience with Jordan at the La Jolla Ralph Lauren store was exceptional. Jordan embodies those virtuous sales characteristics that make a good business GREAT. While his thoroughness, efficiency and product knowledge made the long distance transaction easier, it was his genuine kindness and care that has me writing this review. I am across the country and was ordering a RL item over the phone. Understandably, I had quite a few questions about the item. Jordan was terrific...and I really appreciated it. I will definitely order from this store again...he was that good. Thank you so much Jordan :) read more

I walked into this place after I had a chill day at the beach in La jolla. Ofcourse I had some beach attire on (NO not a just a bathing suit) but a bathing suit + a basic summer dress with flip flops. It was really weird walking in & I have never felt out of my element in a clothing store before, not because it was Ralph lauren but the weird looks that the sales associated where giving me? No one walked up to It seems like if you do not walk in there pulling your tiny dog that you can fit in you Louis Vuitton purse no one would give you the time of day. I could not rate this place any less than 2 start for the respect that I have for the brand name. read more

I've been shopping at Polo since I was 14-15 (early 1980s). Before Polo moved over to Girard, it was located around the corner, on Wall. I first started shopping at the Wall location (a tiny shop located right by the alley). When the location moved, I moved with it. The current manager is Ann. (Edit on December 1, 2017: that's no longer true. Ann is now working for Ralph Lauren corporate. I don't know who the new manager is.) I remember her from the Wall location. She was probably in her early 20s when she started working for Polo. She's now in her mid 40s. She still looks great! Anyhow, let me get to the review. Ann is great. She is always attentive when I am in the store. I never need to ask for anything. Betsy, the men's manager, is also great. (Edit on December 1, 2017: Betsy no longer works at Polo.) I first met her back in 2001-2002. I liked her from the start. She knows what I like and she is in tune with things I might like. Unfortunately, my favorite sales guy, Rene, no longer works here. I know that I've spent less time in this store since his departure. He's moved on to greener pastures, so I don't see him returning to the store. Sigh. Still, if you like to buy your Polo clothing at a nice location, with a talented staff, you can't do much better than the Girard location. (Edit: given all of the turnover, this review of mine can pretty much be ignored at this point.) read more

Even though the only item I have ever purchased from a Ralph Lauren store was a pair of sunglasses at the Beverly Hills location on my first trip to LA, I still like to browse whenever I pass a RL store. I prefer to shop for RL at the department stores where I can use coupons and the sale items are more deeply discounted but this location was great. The sales associates were so nice. I was able to browse the sale items and the woman who worked in woman's clothing was very descriptive in the clothing, where it was made, how much it cost. She was so helpful and all the items were organized by color and style which made browsing that much better. This is a great location, great staff, and great clothing! read more

Ralph Lauren just lost a customer. Can not believe that their online system does not communicate with their stores! I rec'd a present that I needed to return and was told since it was purchased online that It had to be returned and then a gift card would be sent to me. After waiting a month, called them today to find out that they issued a credit to the person who purchased my gift. They apologized but said nothing can be done. Now I am left to deal with the embarrassment. RL you are dead to me! read more

Does anyone remember the store manager from the 80's Peter Lee? I would like to get in touch with him or find out any information on him. Dennis read more

Great shop. The staff is very courteous and helpful. They are not stuck up or pretentious at all. I went in to look around and the staff helped me shop for discounted Polo clothes as if I were looking at a 2500 dollar black label suit. Definitely a pleasure to shop there. read more

Polo Ralph Lauren is a great place to shop for some nice casual, yet classy clothes. They offer great discounts for people that sign up for their mailing lists, sometimes up to 60% of certain items. I find that the clothes are very durable when properly cared for. The only complaint that I have is that they could use a few more Sales associates to help with check out read more

Great service. I bought a pair of sunglasses at this Ralph Lauren location, but within a month my shade just snapped and broke. Quality wise, I would say... probably not the best? But I called the store, and after some researching, the manager agreed to give me a new pair even though I didn't keep my receipt. The manager was able to look up my name in their system, and find my transaction. Since I didn't want to go back all the way to San Diego, the SD store shipped a new pair to the Beverly Hills location. All I had to do was the bring back the broken pair. Although I wasn't happy about the item's quality, and hopefully this is going to be an isolated incident, I was very pleased with how the store handled the incident. read more

Amazing customer service! I had a warranty issue with my glasses. Robert, the RL store rep, really took ownership of the situation and did what he had to do to make sure that I was made whole as a customer. I could not and would not have gotten my warranty without his help - I now have my favorite pair of glasses back. Overall the staff portrayed a positive atmosphere and I am happy to write this review on their great customer service! read more
