I haven't always been a huge Lulu fan. I've purchased their clothing many times but they don't seem to fit as well as Vuori. Yoga Barre in Del Mar has been our go to hot yoga place and they have Lulu yoga mats they were letting new clients try out. I'm not one to invest in a $90+ yoga mat but Lulu yoga mats (the 5mm) was a game changer. I hated using the yogi word 'practice' as it seemed so silly but the Lulu mat definitely changed the way the way I performed in yoga. Paul C. was the best associate here at this location. He was the one who gave me all the ins & outs of ALL their mats and which one he felt was best for me (plus he owns a few of them so was able to give me real life advice about them). He was so welcoming and genuine with his suggestions. I purchased this beautiful pink 5mm yoga mat and loved it. I was religious about cleaning it after each hot yoga class. **BUT** the pink color started to stain/fade no matter how meticulous I would be about cleaning , letting it air dry after un rolled, etc. It was starting to stress me out big time (during yoga class) how i could maintain the mat so the pink color would remain the same. I took the mat to UTC (I've had it for 6+ months now ) and the staff was so helpful. It made my day to see Paul C again helping others on opening day! He remembered me and we talked more about the mats and some clothing suggestions. They let me exchange my mat for the same 5mm BUT in black which has made a WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE. THe black mat does not stain, fade, etc. I no longer fret about the maintenance of the mat (i still clean the mat after ever use and hang over a chair at home). Thank you Paul & staff :)

My wife usually finds something interesting to wear and always looks great. I love that this store has a small place for me to sit and enjoy the AC on a hot summer day while my spouse shops til she drops. There is a wide selection of jeans, shorts, tops and accessories all well displayed and laid out on their sales floor. I'll definitely be back as my other half loves this place and is dangerously too close to home and Nordstrom. How did I get to be so lucky!?

For the stuff they didn't have at the store I went online searching for it and found a lot more items that the store doesn't carry, so I loaded up my cart with more stuff. Being in San Diego it doesn't get THAT cold and the store carried a lot of super winter style coats which I think perhaps the store should carry some more light weight jackets that are on their website. Went to this store on a Friday morning for my 1st time to do an online purchase exchange. The…read morecustomer service was very poor. There were 2 workers in the front entrance. They did not greet me which is fine. I approached them and one of the ladies (short and stout) stared me up and down twice and gave a nonchalant "can I help you?" There was no "hi" or "welcome" I told them I needed to do an exchange and they paused as if I was interrupting their convo and asked what I was exchanging. The same lady continued to look me up and down. I let them know the items and they looked up the scanner for the items and it took them forever without any updates. So I proceeded to peruse the store. They gave me only 1 item and I had 3 to exchange for a better size. I tried it on and the fitting room worker (Taylor) was super nice and helped me. I waited and continued to shop. After a few minutes I went up to the same lady and she stared me up and down again. I asked "did the other items ever come up on the scanner with my size?" She said defensively, "yea, I saw her grab it and we gave it to you." I told her, "no, I didn't get them." She said "well, I saw her get them."The gentlemen worker next to her took the step to actually help me and we walked to the fitting room and there was only 1 piece. Was still waiting for the remaining piece. So I was like whatever and got different pieces and tried them on instead. Went to the front, cash register lady was so grumpy, no smile. She told me to pull up my order number and I gave it to her. She responds with a grumpy accusatory voice, " this order number is a wrong number." I told her I'm exchanging the pieces I brought in. She looked dumbfounded. Then she realized why she asked me for the order number in the first place. Transaction done. I said "thanks for your help." She says sarcastically and looking down, "yea. my pleasure." I will mostly likely stick to online purchases given the lack of quality customer service the store provides. There were at least 5-6 workers and I was 1 of 2 customers. Not sure what they were working on that kept them from helping me kindly. I see now why the store has overall poor customer service reviews with the exception of Taylor. She should manage that store. Alo La Jolla store, please do better.
