I love Marshalls! I would go there at least once a week. You can find so many great items for an amazing value. I buy ALL my dog toys from here, they're so high quality and theres so many options and it's so affordable compared to petco. They also have a lot of cute home decor items that would cost a fortune if you visited a furniture shop. I got a cute gold full body mirror here for $50 once. Always a great deal. They also have a lot of beauty goods, I usually like to buy my lashes from here as they also have a bunch of options. Clothes is always nice here as here. Honestly, you'll never know what you'll find coming to Marshalls but I end up walking out with something!

Found a bag I really wanted that was mistagged with the wrong brand. It wasn't impressions vanity and it wasn't a clutch set. I've seen other people post the jewelry bag as $14.99. I asked a store associate and showed her the correct Impressions Vanity clutch bag as well as an example mininie mouse bag of the same brand. She didn't care and got annoyed and proceeded to raise her voice and told me to buy it at that price or leave it.

Have been shopping here for years and never had such strange treatment before. I purchased a pair of linen pants yesterday, from the past-season contemporary rack. Mind that linen clothes are not cheap, even at a discount. When I bought them, I asked the clerk if the tag was going to be an issue if I returned them, because there was an extra hole thru the paper - "no should be fine!" Took them home and tried a few outfits, changed my mind and tossed them back into the shop bag to return. Today, literally ONE DAY later, I went to the exact same Marshalls to return them. The clerk rang them up and looked very confused, told me they weren't pulling up in her system (a day later, yet they pulled up just fine when I bought them). She called a coordinator and went to the side, I went over and asked if something was wrong "no it's okay you can wait at the other register". A lot of whispering, then clerk came back and said they needed a manager and to please wait. Manager came (her nametag said "Fame F." but I kept hearing them call her Athena/Attina?). Manager then said they couldn't do the return because "the tag had been removed" because there were two punchholes. Of course it wasn't in season - that's why it's at a discount store, the pricetag literally says "past season".... The hangtag and plastic T-shaped thread thing were still attached to the clothing label, too. I don't know what she was subtly accusing me of, but guess what - most of us don't own a retagging machine at home just so we can swap tags on superdiscount clothes. (See my pics for this. It's absolutely stupid.) I told her that I had asked the clerk yesterday at purchase if the tag would be an issue, and she said no. I pointed out there were still others of the same exact pair of pants at the store, with the same tag, so I didn't understand how it didn't exist in their system. Also mentioned how strange it was that the item was in their system when I wanted to BUY it, but as soon as I want to RETURN it "it doesnt exist". Manager hemmed and hawed but didn't do squat or have any pithy answer... other than "sorry we can't help you". Couldn't do anything else, I am not in the habit of getting angry or making a fuss to force a return, so I just left at that point. If you want something done right you do it yourself. Already disputed with my creditcard and they credited me back the money. So thanks for the free pants, I didn't want them anyway so they're going to Goodwill! Also have called and spoken to corporate with observations on the manager. I've worked many years in retail, things don't "disappear" from the system in one day, and I know stores have daily quotas - meeting your store quota isn't a reason for you to falsely deny a customer return. I won't be shopping at this location again. La Jolla Marshalls has horribly long lines, but they have more and better stuff in stock, and they don't lie to meet daily quotas and treat customers like thieves. Ditto Balboa Avenue, and Carmel Mtn. locations.

I've been to this marshals locations many times since it's opened. The inventory is amazing. Prices are always reasonable. Parking is so easy. I love finding that needle in the haystack whenever I visit. The best part is the line is never too long. The shoe selection for both men and women as well as kids is surprisingly good. What's even better is there a selection of perishable goods such as Godiva chocolates! I wish this location replace the location by my home in Carmel Mountain Ranch is there stuff seems to be more interested in the job and providing customer service. I'll be back for sure because I love styling and profiling without breaking the bank. This marshals helps me dressed to the nine's without spending hundreds and I appreciate that!

This Marshalls is somewhat organized. Window shopping is so fun (not) and I really try my best not to buy anything I don't need. I like coming here and going straight to their home department then make my way back up to their clothes department. I always end up finding something I really need (want) even if that item is not what I came for. Me talking to myself: Oh yea, I needed that sink strainer. One frog and metal one for $2.99 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh look, those two size 3T Quicksilver shirts are perfect for my little one. $5.99 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh check this out, 1 size medium Volcom True To This shirt for my hubby. Do they have a size small one for me? Yea they do! $8.00 each. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh cool, 1 size small O'neill baseball shirt. $6.00 only. Ok, I'll buy it. Oh wow, 1 size small Kate Spade Flamingo pink dress. $99.99. Ok, I'll pass but I would wear that tho. See photo, it's really cute.

    Today's homegood finds!

I'm definitely a Marshall's, Tjmaxx, Homegoods fan. It's just one stop shopping most of the time. It's a hit or miss here at times. Sometimes I'll find a gold mine of great finds and others I walk out empty handed. I was focused on home goods today. I was able to pick up a few good finds for the kitchen. I needed some cooking utensils and ended up finding more than that. I found a cute 4 piece set for sauces. And a nice set of spatulas and cooking utensils with sturdy metal handles. The best find was a small grater! It's the perfect size to tuck away in the kitchen drawer. But big enough to grate a portion of cheese or anything else. I saw so many other things I wanted to come back for later on. Their clearance section is a great hidden gem. If you get lucky you'll find some great items on clearance. If you don't mind digging around and being patient looking through items. You can walk away with some great items from home to clothing.

First off, finding a parking spot was super seamless. As soon as we walked into the store, we were greeted! This was our first time going to a Ross and we were truly blown away by the variety of items they had - ranging from clothing, bags, perfumes and home decor, all at reasonable pricing. We went straight to the home section in search for our cutlery organizer. To our surprise they had a good variety of cutlery organizers. They were all from reputed good brands so we couldn't go wrong. We decided to get a wooden extendable one because we had a lot of cutlery. This one could fit in most of the cutlery and the price was perfect. It also looked aesthetic and rugged. The checkout process was smooth. They have a good return policy too. I will definitely be going back again to check their other inventory across other departments!

During today's visit, I found some really nice framed Hello Kitty wall art, a Hello Kitty quilt, Hello Kitty beauty mask, and Hello Kitty hairbrush. There was also a black leather Hello Kitty desk chair that I came very close to purchasing. It was a tough debate but I ended up walking away from it. When I try out clothing in the dressing room, Jeannie, one of the sales associates, is always extremely friendly and welcoming. She's the other reason I like coming to this particular Ross store. There's little old Asian man who's also very sweet and always opens the door for me because I have a habit of leaving the store with my hands full. Ross has really great deals so it's easy to over spend!

The Space: *Beautifully curated…read more *I love how open it is *Easy to maneuver through the store *One fitting room so you might have to wait your turn *Mostly small-medium sizes, but I definitely saw large sizes as well The Prices: *Prices aren't bad considering how curated the shop is, the location is fairly easy to access, and the stock is high quality in my opinion *I bought 3 tops (each one between $30-$40) a Fossil necklace ($18) and a leather jacket ($100) The Service: *The owner was easygoing and did make it a point to make conversation when checking out ***My main issue (which I did bring up to her while I was checking out) was how I noticed that ALL the people who came in after me were warmly greeted. She made it a point to make eye contact with them and said "welcome in" with a smile to every single person -- .... But not me. I didn't receive a hello or a welcome or a smile, which wasn't a big deal to me at first, until I immediately became aware that every single other person received some kind of a warm, inviting hello who came in after me. She also always seemed to be watching me moreso than anyone else......which I thought was a bit odd as well Mind you, I am Half Mexican/Half Black and all the other girls/1 guy who walked in were all Asian or White, so I must assume my ethnicities are the reason I was initially ignored :( Regardless of the difference in treatment, I still purchased my items from the store, because I'm already inside and I like what I like, ya know? Usually I would walk out when I notice other people get treated different than me, but I decided to not let it bring me down this one time. BUT - did it hurt my feelings to visibly see how other people were treated in a way different than me. Of course, it really hurt my feelings to be honest. I believe everyone should feel welcomed into a shopping space - and from a business standpoint, everyone should be treated equally. While it might seem like a small thing, it represents a much larger value, which is the reason it's important for me to bring up. If I'm literally the only 1 out of 7 people who is treated a certain way, well that's a pretty obvious sign that something is wrong right there. It hurt and made me feel sad after I reflected back on the experience. *Overall, I was really excited for this place, so it's a shame I left feeling the way I did. And who knows, maybe I will come back considering I'm all for 2nd chances, but it's hard to say at this moment. ---------------------------------------------- Response to Owner's Comment: Thank you for responding, but unfortunately I'm now confused. When I brought it up to you in the store, you said I didn't get any acknowledgment because you were "maybe in the back" - but now you're saying that it's because you were observing the other 2 girls who were already in the store when I came in???....so which is it? I'm sure you can understand how it's a little hard for me to accept your apology when I'm receiving two different reasons? Were you in the back or were you observing people? How can I accept an apology when you don't even know the reason you initially ignored me? ---- To say that you were unable to speak to me and welcome me in because you were looking at something is quite silly, and doesn't make any sense. Considering that didn't stop you from acknowledging all the other 6 people who came in after me. Besides, your store is one room. If you're looking at a customer, you're basically also looking at the front door. The logic isn't quite adding up. It's quite easy to observe something while simultaneously acknowledging someone. I'm sure you were preoccupied with something every time a new person came in, but you showed them the respect of still acknowledging them. I'm the only one who didn't receive that respect. Do you know how hurtful it is? :( ---- While you also are a minority, I as a light-skinned brown girl, was clearly shown different treatment from the asian women who stepped into the store. I appreciate you writing back to me, but unfortunately I can't accept an apology at this time if it doesn't appear to be truehearted, especially if you're giving me different reasons about why it even happened. That just doesn't make sense. Warm regards
