I've been to their previous location and actually visited the new location on the very 1st day they moved (the closest parking now would probably be by the food court). I haven't always been a huge Lulu fan. I've purchased their clothing many times but they don't seem to fit as well as Vuori. Yoga Barre in Del Mar has been our go to hot yoga place and they have Lulu yoga mats they were letting new clients try out. I'm not one to invest in a $90+ yoga mat but Lulu yoga mats (the 5mm) was a game changer. I hated using the yogi word 'practice' as it seemed so silly but the Lulu mat definitely changed the way the way I performed in yoga. Paul C. was the best associate here at this location. He was the one who gave me all the ins & outs of ALL their mats and which one he felt was best for me (plus he owns a few of them so was able to give me real life advice about them). He was so welcoming and genuine with his suggestions. I purchased this beautiful pink 5mm yoga mat and loved it. I was religious about cleaning it after each hot yoga class. **BUT** the pink color started to stain/fade no matter how meticulous I would be about cleaning , letting it air dry after un rolled, etc. It was starting to stress me out big time (during yoga class) how i could maintain the mat so the pink color would remain the same. I took the mat to UTC (I've had it for 6+ months now ) and the staff was so helpful. It made my day to see Paul C again helping others on opening day! He remembered me and we talked more about the mats and some clothing suggestions. They let me exchange my mat for the same 5mm BUT in black which has made a WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE. THe black mat does not stain, fade, etc. I no longer fret about the maintenance of the mat (i still clean the mat after ever use and hang over a chair at home). Thank you Paul & staff :) read more

Lululemon is absolutely my favorite place to shop and I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years. The UTC location used to be the best for service and ease, especially when it comes to returns so that's why I never hesitated to purchase from them. Today was a different experience as a manager helping me there would not allow me to return an older item that they still sell even with my original receipt. And their system doesn't track online orders properly and told me that I purchased this item in another country when I actually just purchased it online with my receipt as proof. Many of the items that I purchased online was not syncing with their system and my profile which really isn't my issue, but it caused a long delay making me late for work. It just seems that Lululemon has become extremely strict on their returns which makes me hesitant to purchase from them again. I'm all about convenience and great customer service and although the manager was very kind, she did not solve my issue that I did not want to wear socks laced with chemicals made of polyester, especially after reading online that Lululemon admitted to using these chemicals and they're older batches, the current ones are good! Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the chemical laced batch. read more

Lululemon hosted a free outdoor yoga event this Sunday at the fountain area of UTC Mall. Many people came to participate, and drinks were given out after check-in. The instructor was excellent throughout, and the atmosphere was amazing! So vibrant! Thanks to Lululemon for organizing such a great event--hope there will be more next time! My "home" lulu store. No complaints, there is always someone to help and the folks at the fitting room are very nice and enthusiastic. Bonus: If the line is really long, my experience is that they will pull you out of it and help you pay for it via a mobile device. My GF's hemming did get lost once so if you feel like they're taking too long just give them a call and they should sort it out for you. I think they pride themselves on customer service. read more

I had an emergency at work to where I ripped the middle of my pants, I explained that I needed a pair of pants that were comfortable and felt a little loose on the legs. Maddy or Madeline, the young woman that assisted me by the fitting rooms was amazing and helped me with whatever I needed and gave me her opinions on how pants I tried on fit and the look. I have to say, this lululemon location has the best staff. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I always feel comfortable walking into this store. This may be good or bad, but I always find something I need here. There is quite a variety to choose from and they usually have my size. I really like this location at the UTC mall. The store itself is one of the larger ones with a nice sized inventory. The staff are friendly, smile, and check on your needs often. As always, the quality of the brand itself, regardless of where you go is still good. But typically this location has what I'm looking for in stock in comparison to other locations. We were briefly greeted and then immediately ignored upon entering. Staff seemed more interested in whatever they were doing than talking to customers or helping. This review is for my visits during the first lululemon San Diego 10k. It could have been a chaotic shopping experience with thousands of people trying to pick up their race packets from all over the country and the world but they made it as smooth as possible with just a little bit of a wait. Take note: it was their first time. During race weekend, runners were redirected to this store when they ran out of 10k merchandise at pop-up store at the finish line. Again, thousands of runners came here to get their lulu gear screen printed. I got in and out in 15 minutes and it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. The store is a good size and even with all the traffic, they kept merchandise organized and neatly folded/ hung as much as they can. I bet this year would even get better! read more

I just posted a photo of the virtual shopping appointments. I love this because if you are a first responder and/or military you are privy to an additional 25% discount of your Lulu loves! PLUS, shopping during this time (COVID) makes it a bit like playing Russian roulette so shopping this way is such a WIN! My 18 year old daughter was helped and bought some leggings (with her own money that she works very hard to earn so your leggings are worth it to her) and my construction tough guy whom is not your normal customer was coached into trying on pants. His size wasn't found but they offered to custom hem a longer pair and ship them to our home - for Free since we live about 30 miles away. he's never spent $139 on pants before so this was huge! But he did get a smirk on his face with how comfortable "these dress" pants felt! With both of them loving their clothes I felt left out but for now it wasn't in the budget! As for this location, the store is clean/tidy and their employees are always super friendly/helpful. Too many times in class I've seen plenty of Lulu girls with weak warrior 2 poses, incorrect tree pose with the foot on the knee, misaligned triangle, nor can't hold a crow...yoga is about your body and spirit, not what its wearing. I know plenty of other badass yogis and ballerinas who kick plenty of ass just fine while wearing Danskin, C9, or even *gasp* Old Navy for lots less $$$$$. So I never rate a retail store but I just had to today, especially on a Black Friday. Every Lululemon I've been in the employees have super snooty attitudes and they're not very customer service oriented, even when they're not as busy. But this location was on a different level! Everyone was friendly, having fun, dancing, it was overall just a great experience. I also had a great time with the dressing room attendants! And on top of that Tori who was helping my daughter as well as our cashier was genuinely friendly, helpful, and a great conversationalist. She was the icing on the cake. The store itself offers a lot of variety but the customer service was a little lacking. My friend had to exchange her leggings for a new pair but they had given her a cheaper style instead of the more expensive ones she returned. It was pretty frustrating because the difference was 20$ but the person who had rung her up didn't give a receipt or tell her that there was this price discrepancy. She wasn't able to switch out her leggings for a same match price. I mean, I get that it was store policy but the fact that the person helping her didn't really help her was kind of a let down. I mean, if you're paying over 100 dollars for their stuff, it would be nice to rely on their customer service. Which, besides this experience, is usually great. The 2-stars says "Meh.
