Unorganized, kind of dirty, and overpriced. Not too busy but no employees to be found. The last time I try going here.

ZERO STARS! ... I felt strongly moved to write a review on this. This review means a lot, trust me, because until today, I was of the kind of person that I would not go around leaving bad reviews on businesses if at all possible. But when the experience is this Horribly BAD , I have to come here and leave a note. Truly hoping for the owner of Burlington to see it, because neither the manager Tory o Jessica, the District asset protection manager were polite, nor professional AT ALL to help me with what was supposed to be a very small request. Neither would they give me Information to connect with their immediate supervisor. But more importantly because this is VERY BAD REPUTATION for the store. And I am certain this is not the type of employees the store wants to have around. So here it goes: All I needed was a copy of a receipt for a transaction I did at the Ogden branch. When I contacted Ogden, they said I had to go get it in person. I live in SPANISH FORK!.No good suggestion was made as to how to go around that, but I guess I am alive and ok and with that up to this point. Then it occurs to me (not them) to see if I could go pick the copy of my receipt in Orem. They said " call Orem and check with them". So, I call Orem (last Thursday Jan 4) and the gal on the phone says " oh yes, sure. Come on over tomorrow morning and we ll help you with that receipt. So, so far we are ok. Great, I take time off work to go over there, since I needed the receipt for a report for my job, and head over trusting that I would get that recipt no problem. I drive all the way to Orem and when I arrive, there is only one gal at the cashier. I gave her my request and she said she had no idea about my request. So she calls the manager. Here is where Tory gets in the picture. She starts talking to the cashier through radio, asking questions back and forth with the cashier as a middle man. The cashier was patient for a couple questions and so was I, but when more questions kept coming through the intercom, the cashier just suggested Tory to come over In person. I totally agreed. So finally Tory comes and she says," I don't know how to do that, I've never done that"... Period. And then silence....so after some pause I say: so? Can we do something about it? Or look for ways to make it happen or see if there are some options? I had to drop work and spend gas to come pick this receipt and a rep told me I could be helped with this request, no problem." She had no clue where to start or finish. But that is not the worst. Many times people have to learn on the go and that is understandable, right?...However, in this case, there was no sign at all of her trying to do anything to see if she could find some way to help. So I had to suggest to her to call another manager. Genius right!?... Obviously, that should have been her initiative, not mine. Anyway, finally she starts calling someone. As soon that person picks up the phone, Tory, instead of asking for suggestions to get help, she starts from the get go telling that person all reasons why she cannot do that or why it sounds, rather impossible to get that done since the transaction was done in Ogden. I am not sensing ANY willingness to be helped at this point. The other gal didn't seem to know how to do that either. Folks, please remember, this just happen last week. We just entered the year 2024! And this crew has no idea how to help a costumer get a copy of a RECEIPT! So once again it occurs TO ME to have her call the branch in Ogden who had initially recommended to get the receipt in Orem. Guess what? would not call them. She asked ME, to call THEM Instead. Mind blown, I decided to go ahead and call anyway, and a nice gal in Ogden starts narrating easily what the steps are needed that she should take to pull that receipt and i passed along the informationto her.... Now, check this out, after I gave her the Info on how to so it ( I had hung up my phone to give her the Info of the process) she said. "I need to hear that from her directly". I just could not believe my ears. Despite that, I call her AGAIN! and put her on the Speaker to have her take those exact same directions i gave her, but from the mouth of the gal in Ogden. Sure enough she makes it to a screen on her computer with details of the transaction i was looking for, but guess what? at this point, before she prints the receipt, she also gets on the phone answering acall from another manager, this is Jessica the District asset protection manager, and instead of processing the print of the receipt, she closes the screen where my transactions was clearly visible, and goes on to tell me again that this is not possible . Hi I know you just downloaded your picture like this but your post isnt this way, because I usually come there once or twice a month to buy things from your store. Burlington Store is a good store and I just wanted to know when do you put your products in your store so I can came over there because I hardly have time to show up. Thank you very much. read more

I would give this place a zero star rating if that was an option. I very rarely shop at this place, but my daughter received a birthday present purchased here, two sizes too large. So we went to exchange it. First we were told they wouldn't do it. After I show them their own return policy from their website, they wanted me to contact the parents of the child that gave this present to my daughter. All of these with the WORST customer service, having to stand a cashier that gave us a dirty look, talked to a manager over the radio, the manager never showed up, and then whispered with another associate while looking at us. Of course I am never going back! And definitely would never recommend this place. We ended up leaving with the product without exchanging because they didn't have a smaller size and the rest of the clothes were quite ugly. Worst place to shop, worst customer service! read more

I know the pictures posted don't show a great impression of this store. But I'm here to balance it with a redeeming review. I have expensive taste but don't have an expensive budget. So I LOVE Burlington. This place sells nearly everything you need in life except fresh produce- Clothing, shoes, home, snacks, decor, kitchen, beauty, bedding, furniture, travel luggage, food, and seasonal items. I have found myself buying items from every category they offer. I actually bought my friend's wedding presents here so...yeah it's a smorgasbord. And they have a pretty good system for making returns but I have actually yet to return anything I've bought from here. If you've read my McDonald's review, you can probably gather that I'm not a fan of public bathrooms. So I gotta shout out to the bathroom here. It is so clean! Compared to how messy it can get within the store, the bathroom maintenance is pretty impressive. I don't fear when I open the bathroom door. I will say that while it seems like the holy grail for anything you'd ever need, it definitely is a hit or miss. Sometimes you leave empty handed, but sometimes you leave with some AMAZING finds. read more

This store is almost always a little messy but you will always find awesome things here for a great price. The store is huge and the parking is alway available. It's a little hard to find help when you need it but bring the hubby to help find things. I always enjoy shopping here. read more

Use to be a 2-star place but they did some major renovations and the layout is better but theyre still majorly disorganized. The prices though are really nice and the employees are usually very nice to us. read more

I visited the Orem, UT location on Sept 3, 2012 with my newly married sister and brother in law. We were returning two items that were given to them for their wedding reception with origional sales receipt, only three days after purchase date. Dishes, and silverware were the items.. However the dishes were broken in the box. We walked up to the customer service counter and stood there for 15 minutes before a single human employee noticed us. But even then she told us that she wasn't able to do the transaction and needed another employee to do it. So as we waited, she just stared at us, didn't even call someone to come.. Just waited. The employee NEVER showed up, so she eventually went around the counter and attempted to help. The only option she gave us was a gift card for the merchandise amount. I have worked retail for 6 years, at some of the finest retailer establishments, and there is ALWAYS an option to give a customer back cash if they insist and have all necessary proofs of purchase... Even though it is advised to try to and put the balance on a gift card. So as I politely asked her why that was the only option, because they did not intend on buying anything else, she rudely kept saying "IT'S POLICY.., IT'S POLICY". We decided to pick out some items because obviously there was no other option. First of all this store looks like animals ravaged through there and then the end of the world came and people were scavenging through for supplies. I was APPALLED at how MESSY this store was, I had to kick things out of my way on the floor to walk around. Tons of items were off the shelves, most were opened packages with missing parts. We made our way to the dish aisle and settled on a set that was nice, we made sure every dish was in tact, and then picked a glass tumbler set as well. As we were walking out of the aisle, a shelf completely untouched by out party fell on top of us under the weight of all the junk on it. Crashing down it smashed my one sister's fiancé in the head and scratched the other sisters arm badly!!! Fuming, I went to find the manager on duty. I got the front desk and asked for the manager and a different sales girl told me just to wait.. WAIT!!? What kind of an establishment is this??! The manager finally came to the front, but ignored me completely and helped another associate. I finally had, had enough and marched up to her demanding If she was the manager. She dodgingly answered "I'm one of them" as to shirk responsibility! I then went into the details of our distasterous charade and all she simply said was "I'm sorry, the store was clean when we opened this morning" and "Is your family ok" NO incident report, no recifying the situation, and certainly no accountability for the store shes been entrusted with to run and keep people safe. The bottom line is, this store is a pathetic excuse of a retail store. It's is a pig sty, extremely dangerous with items falling and things on the floor, and the service here is atrocious!! I will NEVER shop here again, and I have nothing positive to recommend to anyone either. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!! read more
