Update: Definitely a pass for me now. The most recent visit yielded a very poorly cooked dry burger that varied from well done to medium rare in patches. Not worth the cost. The conveyer belt cooking method is bad and the burgers taste bland. The only item worth your time is the wings. I happened by this place driving by and stopped in hoping it would be similar to to a Shake Shack. Inside was a square counter that took up most of the dining area and a few tables and bar seats. You order at the counter. I ordered the Duo Combo and Sweet Chili Garlic wings to go. The staff was very friendly and walked me through my order. The burgers were pretty good, all ingredients tasted fresh. The patty felt slightly over cooked and dry, since they are smaller patties this may be the reason. The fries look like thick potato chips and I really liked them. They aren't very crispy but they were seasoned well and had a nice texture. The sweet chili garlic wings were very nice substantial wings. Since I love spicy I topped them with the habanero condiment they had available and it gave a great heat. The to go packaging could be revamped. The square paper boxes tend not to breathe and the steam causes them to deteriorate quickly. I live about 10mins away and the box the wings came in was almost falling apart. Be prepared to store any leftovers in another container. Overall a great addition to the area. The burger arrived cold. Ordered half regular fries and half sweet potato fries got a bunch of regular fries that were so old and hard I almost cracked a tooth biting down on the first one I tried. The first few times we came here we have been pleased but the last few times we have ordered anything from here it's a sh*! show... We're vegetarians so with that being said it makes it nearly impossible for us to tell if we are getting actual meat or in fact the impossible plant based patty. If they had a way of marking the burger to ensure that the cook actually took the time and care to make sure it was meat or not would be a huge benefit for us, but of course that's not an option. Tonight we ordered from my wife's phone and had spent most of our credits on a few impossible duo burgers. Of course on the receipt there was only 1 of the 4 burgers that were plant based. I have visited Burgerim frequently and have enjoyed the food despite frequent order errors and an ongoing issue with the fries always being half full or less (may be petty but at $3 for fries I expect them to be full). This is always resolved promptly and with understanding until to this visit, which this particular manager. This instance was much the same, I brought this to the attention of the employee, who got the manager, an average height, slender black man, who then proceeded to tell me how I was wrong and got very defensive and combative because "it was their policy", not evening looking at what I was given. At this point I'm pretty annoyed because this is becoming an issue when all I wanted was a solution to allow me to get the food home to my family quickly and warm. I told him I've never had an issue getting this resolved and he then tried to back peddle some saying he didn't say it wouldn't be fixed but was "explaining policy". Being annoyed and explaining the lack of logic in their "policy", while knowing they didn't have them ready and I'd have to wait letting the food get cold to get them to correct it, I just let him have his way and let him know I won't be returning following his reaction. I understand mistakes happen and have taken similar instances in stride previously, and managers were always receptive and quick to offer solutions. This particular visit and manager was very rude and made my patronage seem less than valued. This was enough to make me reconsider any future visits to burgerim and particularly this location. And to boot, the sandwiches which I inspected but not for every ingredient, was incorrect despite being written correctly on the order. This leads to me believe this is a matter in rushing and lack of emphasis on quality and an attempt to cover it up by "policy". The prices are too steep for these ongoing issues and to be treating costumers as though they are burdening you when they pay your salary. I won't be going back after this instance and definitely won't be recommending like I have been. There are other places that will give much better experiences at a better price. read more
