    Pepperoni pizza was a miss.

Had a nice dinner here last night. Very nice interior, felt very comfortable. I had the banh mi chicken sandwich which was very good. My dinning companion had had the Thai coconut salad which she enjoyed. We also split a pizza, which was the low point of the meal. Crust was good, but the sauce just did not taste right. I will go back but will skip the pizzas

Modern Market has been around for awhile in the Denver metro and now has over 20 locations across the U.S. This location is, bar none, the most beautiful store I've witnessed. It's open and bright and clean. I was hanging out at the fantastic new coffee shop next door (Carbon Coffee) and needed a quick bite for lunch. The owner actually recommended me a certain bowl, but I figured I'd opt for a sandwich. Lo and behold, I was overwhelmed from the large menu, couldn't make a decision, so I said to myself "what the hell" I'll order what he suggested. This turned out to be an EXCELLENT choice. Reading the ingredients, it sounded good, but I didn't think it'd be THIS GOOD. +Lemongrass Tuna // Line-caught seared tuna, rice and quinoa, carrot, cucumber, pickled onion, jalapeño, cilantro, peanut, lemongrass aioli, chile vinegar. A Vietnamese-inspired dish with tart, bright, and vinegary flavors. The lemongrass aioli and chile vinegar work well together, hittings all aspects of your palate. My only qualm was the tuna itself. I liked the simple seasoning of flaky salt, but I wish it had a hard sear on the grill. You can tell they reheat it to order, so it had this soft and mushy texture instead. If it was truly fresh to order, I'd give this bowl 5 stars easy! This outpost of Modern Market sits off E Colfax across from the Anschutz campus. I'd assume they stay busy with takeout and delivery orders. BUt don't be afraid to dine in at this one due to the comforting atmosphere.

We were on a road trip passing through from NJ and desperately needed a vegetable lol. This HIT the spot. It was so fresh and delicious. Service was great and I asked if there was dairy in something, the cashier brought out a whole booklet to double check. They were very tentative to the needs! 10/10 would Recommend. Will be back again if in the area.

Excellent fresh food option. You even feel healthy eating it. Green Chicken Chili was a great way to start. One soup was cold when it arrived, but it was immediately rectified. Lots of curry flavors and fresh herbs made everything come together great.

I give up on this place, unfortunately. The last few visits have been disastrous. This time, I was specific with my order, but they didn't listen to me at all and made lots of mistakes. The service was rude and hurried. They have mostly meat proteins, or tofu, but not all people like tofu or can eat soy. Why not offer beans or lentils? The food is overly salty and sauces are dumped on top of everything. The prices are too high too. What began as a great, healthy restaurant has really gone downhill over the years.

    Margherita Pizza delicious

I was really craving pizza but still wanted to be healthy. Yes, I'm aware of the contradiction. However, half of a margarita pizza was perfect! It was nice a light but still satisfied my craving. I also ordered the green chicken chili, which was a bit too spicy as a soup for this white girl, but it's amazing as a dip with tortilla chips! If I could, I'd add more chicken to up the protein but I don't think that's an option. The salted Nutella rice krispy treat was gross! Ok it's actually perfection but I don't want you to have any so I can make sure they don't run out when I go. I'm a rice krispy treat snob and those store bought ones are gross. This one is homemade, the perfect size and with NUTELLA!!

I loved this place! So much so I ate here for dinner 2x last week during a work trip to Denver. Inside very open and modern concept with a super friendly staff. My 1st night I had the curry salmon bowl with green chili soup. Both were awesome and highlight would for sure be the curry salmon. The 2nd night I had the blackened chicken and mango salad bowl with a cup of the curry potato soup. Both were outstanding and loved them! I would highly recommend this place to anyone...great flavors, made to order, fresh ingredients and all the way around just a great experience(s).

Good food. Terribly expensive in my opinion. The restaurant was exceptionally cold. I wish I could taken a sweater

Lots of options. The margarita pizza with chickpea crust was a nice change from the normal airport food options.

Leven Deli Co. is what would happen if Ron Swanson opened a Jewish deli in downtown Denver and let…read moresouthern blues play over the speakers while he worked. There's no performance here, no hospitality theater, no one asking how the first few bites are treating you. You walk up to the counter, you order, you take a number, you sit down. The food does the talking. And the food has a lot to say. I went on a bright Wednesday morning with a couple of friends and ordered the classic breakfast, swapping bacon for pastrami (a first for me) with an everything biscuit on the side (also a first). Both were revelations. The eggs over-hard might be the best version of that order I've ever gotten from a restaurant -- just a whisper of uncooked yolk in the center, perfectly seared on both sides. Skillet potatoes were spot-on. The skillet pastrami was rich and properly crisped at the edges. And the two generous slices of sourdough arrived with a scratch-made blueberry jam that I ended up smearing on everything I could -- sourdough, biscuit, probably would've eaten it with a spoon if no one was looking. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich, which clearly belongs in the staples category. The baguette was the star: toasted outside, pillow-soft inside, zero tug-of-war with your teeth. That detail alone tells you the kitchen cares. This is the Ron Swanson part: there's an unapologetic confidence to this place. They know exactly what they're doing, they're not trying to oversell it, and they're not interested in charming you into liking it. They're just going to hand you something excellent and trust you to figure out the rest. The coffee was good. The food was setting-a-benchmark good. A real 5 out of 5 stars, no pickin nits. Mild observation, not a complaint: the service is counter-only, no traditional table service. Would Matthew McConaughey or Reese Witherspoon dropping plates off elevate the experience? Sure. But Ron wouldn't have it any other way, and honestly, neither would I after eating here. If I lived within 45 minutes of downtown Denver, this would be my destination breakfast. As it is, I'm a 12 hour drive away, and if it were only 11, perhaps I'd go tomorrow. The real downside? The food was so good I completely forgot to take a picture.

We arrived at noon only to find a huge crowd with everyone enjoying outside dining on a sunny day. This place is hopping and the staff is working their butts off. The energy here super high and I wish we were not pressed for time. We ordered a 12 day old pastrami on an unbelievable home-made toasted rye bread with Jarlsberg, Levin sauce and cabbage. The sandwich was hot, tasty and flavor-packed. The crust was a bit tough but it did not stop me from inhaling. The menu is vast, energy is high and this is a place you just were you want to be. I can't wait to return with plenty of time to drool over the menu and survey the dishes flying out of the kitchen. Great job, fun environment and tasty food, congrats Levin Deli!

It really gave me RVA (Richmond, VA circa early 2000s) nostalgia vibes like for places I worked in around Broadway during college! Wow. Love everything about this place. I'd been going to a lot of coffee shops lately where the style is all like new stuff and new style (which I LOVE) but the style of Tessa Delicatessen was so unexpectedly refreshing. I didn't realize that this part of Colfax was Park Hill! I saw a lot of other interesting places nearby. Can't wait to go back and wander! Not sure if it was the owner that greeted me at the register but she was very friendly and warm. I love the self serve coffee and water and you get to pick a unique mug to drink from. Really strong neighborhood vibe and I think she said it had been open since 2017. So cool! I'm obsessed with the spaciousness and space! My breakfast sandwich did explode all over my hand - so be careful! The egg is soft inside! I got coffee, cheesy hash and the breakfast sandwich. $25 for everything including tip. I think that's a great deal for a lovely morning vibe and breakfast in 2026!

We started with their traditional black eyed pea soup because good luck traditions matter. Shortly after, I "found" three dollars in my coat pocket. Was it already my change from the store? Yes. Did I still credit the soup? Also yes. From there, we leaned fully into deli mode. The cheeseburger was solid and satisfying, the Reuben hit all the right notes, and the macaroni salad was exactly what you want it to be. No frills, just done right. Dessert sealed the deal. The cheesecake was rich without being heavy, and the carrot cake was genuinely excellent. Tessa feels like one of those neighborhood spots you can come back to again and again. Comforting, straightforward, and very good at what they do. Fortune and prosperity aside, this place is worth a visit on its own.
