Best Burger I've had since I've been in Anchorage. With that said I haven't had one here that met my high expectations for a burger. In the lower 48 my go to would be a Five guys burger. This is the closest I've had. I had a build your own and it was outstanding. Their fries are also a perfect compliment. So is it Five Guys? No, but it also isn't as greasy and it's what we have locally. They also get Bonus points for serving beer on tap. read more

Guys, if it wasn't for duck confit (imma classy broad) and tacos con carne asada, I'd be a vegetarian. But I'm weak. Just recently dined at Burger Fie and I have to admit I'm truly a burger fanatic. I'm not very much in love with chain restaurants so when I heard and read the reviews we decided to try it. It wasn't really busy and the prices are a little higher but the beef they use is exceptional. I had just a regular cheese burger and it came wit two small patties with good old American cheese. It was well made. My wife had a single burger pattie which she liked. The onion rings. Well, they have to be a signature item. Done very well. They're huge. French fries were just ok. The only issue I had was the person at the counter. I told them it was our first time there. She pointed out the paper menus and the menu on the board. It's hard to get it all in. I wish she would have engaged us a little. I missed the part that said you could your fries extra crispy which I like and I missed the Parmesan too. My loss. They were out of bottled water also. I'll be going back but now I have their menu and I have the advantage now! Great food maybe a little pricy but in-line with the quality in my opinion. read more

Been here three more times. Each time I make it very clean I cannot have dairy I ask for no cheese etc. the people taking my order put it all in the system but Every Time without fail they put all the dairy on. It's ridiculous. First thing I noticed, which almost made me not want to order any food, was that everybody on the line had their hair down. A guy with long dreads, girls with loose side ponytails, all cooking in clear view. Whoever owns this place needs to get their staff in check because that is completely unacceptable. I ordered the veggie burger and the rest of my family ordered normal burgers and when they arrived (long wait), there was no veggie burger and a lot of the other orders were messed up. One worker tried to tell me the burger that was clearly meat was vegetarian so that was a bit uncomfortable as well. Finally got my veggie burger and it was actually very good! BURGERFI is stellar. I recently visited on National French Fry Day- the restaurant honored the day by offering a free order of fries with order of their newest specialty burger- the CEO. Despite the fact that I came in just before they closed (how annoying) and with the agenda of getting something for practically nothing, the staff was awesome. When my order took an unusually long time, the team stayed communicative, were sincere, and even offered me something on the house in the meantime. It was well worth the wait- the CEO was the best burger I have ever had! Did I mention that I modified it? No problem, either. The food here is always fresh, the ambiance is chic, and the staff is extraordinarily gracious. I'll be back soon. read more

One star because really the onion rings were the best I've ever had... too bad the burger was perhaps a steam table burger? But wait that would mean the meat was grey inside and maybe warm? But no, this was raw pink, absolutely no char or grilled bits, tepid at best, no texture cause bun was not warmed or grilled or toasted or? Second and final visit. The first time I came here I had the eight dollar cheeseburger it was small but cheesy and didn't taste too bad, however, it had the tiniest piece of tomato and lettuce hidden within the tiny buns and it just looks as if nobody had any pride in putting this burger together. I tried to flag got a manager to ask if they had any standards but at the time it wasn't that critical to make the point. I just walked out disappointed in my tiny cheesy little burger. This trip I decided to try a fancier burger. I had the burger that was about $12 it claimed to be made of aged brisket, Swiss cheese and blue cheese. This time it hasn't had a nicer piece of lettuce and tomato on a but simply tasted like a fried burger. For about two thirds the price I could've had a yummy flame broiled bacon cheeseburger at Burger King with fries and a soft drink. You really can't beat a fresh flame broiled burger as compared to whatever this high and burger was the came off a flat grill and placed on tiny buns. Spontaneously dropped in while at the mall. We were all very hungry (4 people). Three bacon burgers and one brisket burger with a "bucket" of fries with soda pop (4) was ordered. The burgers were great but small (for my husband and brother) and very messy. They were not labeled at what burgers were what as some ordered jalapeños, pickles, etc. The so called bucket of fries were not worthy of being called a bucket. I was skeptical after reading the reviews...I have to say I was presently surprised. Yes, the burger was smaller but with the double patty, I thought it was more than enough--and at 7.80, not that bad in price. I had the double cheese burger with the fry and onion ring combo and a fresh squeezed lemonade and it came to $14 and some change. I thought that was comparable for most burger places in town. I had heard such great things especially about the veggie burger and in particular the hippie veg on the secret menu. Having never been before I decided to order the same hippie veg as my friend along with the fry and onion ring side. Fries and o ring portion was huge and we should have split it as we both ended up throwing a good bit away. Both fries and rings were really good, but I went for the main course not the sides. Bun easy awesome and had that soft steamed effect. This was supposed to come with 2 veggie patties I learned afterwards when my friend complained that they did not make it right, no toppings, no cheese, no lettuce no tomato no pickle relish...nothing and shorted a patty. Burger was a little larger than Krystal Burgers usually bought by the sackful. Looked online to find out how shorted this burger was of the toppings. Never been before so didn't have a point do reference. Won't go back either because for the price to get a slider with no toppings is insane. The staff here is amazing! Emma greeted us with a huge smile and made us very welcome. Dwayne not inky helped this exhausted mom order the right thing but also was willing to go get a pencil from his binder so my daughter could work on homework while she ate and he told her to keep it (which made my little 8 year old feel very special). Great pop and 80s music was the perfect background to our family meal and homework session. AND the burgers and cheap wine were delicious!!! A total hit. This place is alright... Nothing to write home about. The decor is nice and modern and they have a good message, something along the lines of sustainability, but they didn't seem to be super Eco-conscious to me. The burgers were good, but not fantastic. There are much better burger places in anchorage. We got a chocolate brownie frozen custard dessert in a cup and it was HUGE!! Too much for even 2 people, it was good but SUPER RICH. I think it would be good for 3 or 4 people, make sure you have some water to wash it down. We won't be back unless we happen to be in the mall and starving :/ read more

I ordered the VegeFi burger and fries Urban Style. I was kind of surprised of the size of my burger. It was probably 4 inches in diameter which is kind of small in my opinion. The burger was good in deed. The fries I probably shouldn't have ordered because the amount of fries too much for me. We spent $50 on two hot dogs, two sodas, an order of onion rings and fries, and two hamburgers. The atmosphere was lively and the food was decent, but expensive. I'd probably go back there again. Been here a few times now. It's mostly good. The biggest issue I had was that the kitchen is very inconsistent. We ordered all our fries well done (after experiencing the limpness of their 'regular') and still get limp fries. There were other modifications ordered that the grill guys forgot. Luckily they are quick to fix such errors if you take the food back to the counter. I agree with the others: It is overpriced, but the breakfast all day burger isn't sold anywhere else, and these are the best onion rings in town.
