Delicious food!! I would definitely come back here for another burger. The mushroom Swiss burger was phenomenal. Every member of our family loved their meal. The interior is cute and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is the best restaurant I've been to in a VERY long time. From the beautiful presentation of the food, it's cheap, clean, has bathrooms, beautiful decorations, good music, and mostly importantly, a damn good burger. The burger even has a bear on the top. The service was so quick and they were polite and attentive. Such a good place to go and eat, would highly recommend to anyone. Might be my new spot.

Great burger. Comfortable ambiance with comfortable seating. Service was very attentive (even though the ordering was fast foodish). Great burgers.

I like the layout and decor of the restaurant but I feel like it should have table service since there's so many tables & booths and it serves beer and wine. I appreciate all the good beer in cans and on tap. The burger was okay. The grilled chicken sandwich was okay. Nothing to boost about. The French fires were great! There is so many burger restaurants in anchorage but there doesn't seem anything super special about this one to me.

Now I know how far I need to be willing to go for a great burger! If you find yourself anywhere near the arctic circle.... you need to drop into Alaskan Burger and Brew. I had the breakfast burger, with American cheese, bacon and an egg. The burger was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and while huge... I was still able to pick it up and eat it with my hands. Another standout on the menu was the halibut sandwich (called Homer Burger). The fish was fantastic and the sauce was flavorful without be too spicy. All this combined with an excellent selection of beers on tap made for an excellent lunch break from the museum.

I am always looking out for a really good fish sandwich. The Homer here at Alaskan Burger & Brew is one I go out of my way for. The beer battered filet of halibut is incredible. It's a chunk of fish perfection on a bun with a slaw. Then when you taste the French fries that come with it ... these fries knock me out! NO KETCHUP NEEDED they are so good. You know when you go, hmmm I'm feeling fish sandwich I know where I'm going! It's fast takeout too! 5-7 Minutes during lunch. Lots of beers on tap, fireplace in the middle, outdoor small, quaint patio. Yeah this is me and Judy's fish burger go to! It's a gem!

Food: 5 Customer Service: 5 Location/ Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: NA This restaurant is situated in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska and we visited them for lunch this summer. Upon arrival we discovered that they were located in a small shopping plaza. The inside is decorated like many Alaskan restaurants, with many outdoor activities. We ordered two burgers and fries for take out, as we were on our traveling journey. Their burgers were very delicious and the bun was stamped with a bear image. The fries were very warm and seasoned with perfection.

Decent place to grab a burger, fries, and beer on tap. I ended up ordering the Texas burger as I love the onion ring and BBQ sauce combo on burgers. The burger was definitely good but interesting. I was not expecting as much of a char taste as it was semi overpowering the other flavors. While not burnt, it just was more a kick in the mouth. The BBQ sauce used was more on the very sweet end and that would have been better for a more savory BBQ to go well with the saltiness of the meat.

Had to order for burgers are my first love. I ordered out and was surprised the fries were still crisp and tasty. We ordered three different burgers and I have to say less is more. Meaning just your burger and cheese with nothing on it won my taste buds over.

DELICIOUS FOOD!!! (Wild Fries with toppings on the side)

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!! They have the best fries, burgers, but their service is SUPERB!! I have been here a few times but this experience is the one that tipped me over the edge to write a review!! I was not having the best day and I wanted some good fries and Burger and Brew has great fries with mixture. They're the wild fries but I felt so picky and didn't want to drive 15 mins home from the restaurant with all mixtures soaking in the fries making them soggy. So asked if they could put every topping and dressing into a container for me. I was hoping they would but I knew that I might not get that and was preparing my self. When I got there the staff was so sweet to me and gave me my order and when I opened it i almost cried. Everything was as I asked, everything was in its own separate container, not just piled on the side. It made my day. Thank you, thank you! Cannot recommend enough for great food and service.

Casual spot with pretty good burgers. On a Friday night there was a couple at the bar and three other tables including us. Waited maybe 15 mins for 2 orders. I had a simple cheeseburger with fries. Bun and meat were very good. Fiancé had the chicken buffalo burger and was a fan. We'd return here for a quick and casual dinner!

Food was great. We had Hawaiian burger and bacon cheese burger. No complaints from anyone. All plates were empty so that shows you how good it was. Service was great and ambiance is casual. Would definitely come back and recommend this place.

We were looking for a place to eat for dinner and I liked the reviews so we figured we'd stop through. It was a storm so there weren't a lot of people in here which usually I'm skeptical of. This place did not disappoint. The burger was so . It was moist, sauce was FLAVORFUL. Seems like they specialize in beer. I'm not a beer drinker but if I were I would have had a few. I will definitely stop by here the next time I'm in Anchorage. The prices are very affordable. This place is very unassuming as far as size is concerned. Once you get inside you will see that there's a lot of space. We went to the one on 5th Street but it wouldn't allow me to pull it up on this site

I was in beautiful Anchorage and…read morewanted to grab some lunch. 49th state brewing was perfect because it wasn't far from my hotel and because it was so cold outside, I didn't want my walk to exceed 15 minutes. I was really hungry so I got there right when they opened at 11 a.m. I was able to be seated immediately and opted to sit upstairs where the tables were lower as compared to downstairs where the tables were high tops. Off the bat the food is phenomenal. For starters I got their popular handmade Bavarian pretzel. It was perfectly seasoned with butter and salt and the pretzel itself was soft and fluffy. It came with a side of cheese which was just as tasty. I was a little nervous it would taste like the melted cheese you eat at an amusement park- but this cheese had fantastic quality. One really neat thing about this brewery is they make their own fountain drinks! I tried the raspberry one and as you can see they aren't shy about the portions! The drink was really good. It had a great flavor to it, and a nice balance. The raspberry wasn't overpowering which I'm grateful for. For my entree I had the Yak burger that came with a side of tater tots. My waiter recommended I get it cooked at medium to keep it juicy. Typically I'm a medium well to well done type of girl, but I decided to trust his judgement and he was right! The burger was huge, messy, and delicious. The medium was definitely a good call. It was juicy but not so red where it would be off putting! Overall, I had a really incredible dining experience at 49th state brewing. And the prices were unbelievably reasonable. My meal came out to about $52 (not including my tip). I would love to come back when it's a bit warmer and sit outside- the views from the restaurant are phenomenal. Also, shout out to my waiter! I didn't get his name but he was so kind and the service was excellent!

It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."
