I give this place 5 stars with the assumption that people realize it's a 5 star mom and pop burger spot. The food is all Sysco/Restaurant Depot frozen stuff, but, despite that, my family and I really enjoy it. The chili cheese fries and onion rings are a hit in our house and the burgers and chicken strips satisfy the kids. Service at the drive through is usually pretty good. I cut them a slack when they sound annoyed/low energy because I know the work is tough. I've only ever been through the drive through, so I've never sat inside. When you're hungry and don't feel like making dinner, this place hits the spot. read more

Had a great experience at Burger Stop. I got the bacon cheeseburger combo and everything was delicious. They recently remodeled and the place looks really nice. The environment was very clean, the staff was great, and I loved the decorated outdoor patio. Prices are fair too, paid about $35 for two combos and it was definitely worth it. Still a two for a few reasons. Way over priced. Pastrami burrito was over $20 bean and cheese burrito was $15 with both of those are with drinks. fries where dibble dipped. The reviews saying false advertising is happening were right. I saw the burgers on the photos had fat patties. I got a cheeseburger combo and the burger's patty very very thin. Okay...let's see how it tastes. Maybe flavor will save the day but it did not. Very lackluster burger. No real seasoning. It was all just a bland bolus of food rolling around in my mouth. The fries weren't bad, but also not good. Also, just bleh. They were a bit overcooked. The soda though, I'll say was crispy and good. They kept up with the fountain machine that night. The prices are fair compared to many other burger joints around like Dinos which isn't the best it use to be and way way overpriced for the exact same thing. My go to is the egg breakfast burrito. Burger had the classic american burger taste with that certain thousland island taste everyone knows. Fries were perfect size and were seasoned well. Not too much not too little. Ketchup, salt, and pepper on the tables. The tables btw, were very clean. There is essentially no clutter in this place. I work at a very well known burger establishment (we're all about hamburgers ) where cleanliness is what we brag about. The grills here are clean and they cook right in front of you. I was very sad when Pepe's in Downey closed. Since then I have been on the hunt for a similar breakfast burrito. I passed by the Burger Stop and decided to give it a try. Nice Independent California Burger stand. Has a full Breakfast selection as well as a full Burger and Sandwich selction. Very well priced for the amount of food. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hi i usually go there thru drive thru .... BUT this experience left me not wanting to go back at all. All due to a reciept. I tend to get a receipt after my purchase but the lady at the window refused to give me one so she got some guy who was in the freezer (manger i think) and he also said that they dont give receipts. When i told him i received my receipts before he shook his head and said " the woman that gave you the receipts is no longer working here.. i can't trust these woman to do job properly when i have to do my books at end of the day" after some time he finally gave my receipt. Since i payed cash this time the reciept didn't show discount they advertise - (pay cash and we give a discount otherwise its regular price" Long story short... unless i HAVE TOO i won't be returning there. but they do make good onion rings and yes it's a bit expensive. Took three tries to get the order straight then when I came up to the window, they still had it wrong. Had a double cheeseburger combo 14.98and to substitute zucchini for french fries it an additional 4.39. they didn't like it when I asked for an itemized receipt like any place would give you without asking. now let's get to the food.
