Every time my family visits from out of town we come and visit this place. I'm a fan of their Bergers and their shakes are great too.

Love their milkshakes. Their burgers were a bit over done but good. Their service are a bunch of teenagers. You get some who care are are so kind. Then you get that one who acts like you are making them do more than they should. It was just 2 more fry sauce man. Overall it's a good place to eat. read more

I came here extremely excited and I had high expectations based on most of the Yelp reviews I read. Most days the front counter is surrounded by people, so expect a wait if you visit during lunch or dinner hours. I ordered the double buffalo burger with cheese and fries well done. The first thing I tried were the fries, and honestly they were ok but tasted more like oil than anything. The burgers are pretty huge and covered in fry sauce. The buffalo wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped, but just slightly gamey. I was pretty underwhelmed by everything I ordered including the fry sauce. I wish I had liked it more especially since it's a small business and those seem to be scarce in chain-ridden cities like SLC. Definitely give them a try because reviews are hit or miss and you may love it. read more

Really good burgers and really good shakes. They have been on the Food Network show. I would recommend the Big Ben it's very good.

I ate here when I was sick with the flu and the food was so good I couldn't help but resist eating it after I threw it up. I'm telling you, it's that delicious. The burgers we received were just like a previous posters complaint. Wish we had come here to read before wasting nearly $60 ..,..The buns on all 4 orders were smushed, torn and gross there was more nasty bun then bland flat meat patty. We got ours to go spending nearly $60 wow were we VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ordered 4 over priced bison burgers and I'll tell you I've never had a burger with such a flat tiny little nasty patty definitely not worth the nearly $7 each. I have never seen my husband throw a burger out much less a bison burger but from this place our burgers went in the trash after a few bites.....WHAT A WASTE . I Upgraded to the onion rings to only get onion pieces not a single full ring just all mangled like the other food and the breading was coming off. This is one of our favorite places to eat. Love the big cheese ben and double cheese ben. The crispy chicken sandwich is really good to. Seems like the fries have kind of went downhill since the father passed but it's hit and miss. The onion rings have been really good lately. We used to get the fried mushrooms but the last time was last year they were very soggy so haven't tried them since. Might have just been a bad night. I love that this is a family place and will always be on our twice a month dinner plans. Everyone is friendly and work so hard to keep things moving quickly. read more

Our burgers were insanely delicious! We bought two pineapple burgers and two bacon burgers for a family of four. We purchased one side of fries and one side of onion rings. The fries were fabulous, onion rings were OK. The sauce that comes with them ... no that's a different story. It was so yummy and delicious I could drink it out of a cup. Amazing!!!!! So delicious, huge portions. Perfect fries and cheeseburgers. The shakes are also amazing. They don't use real Oreos in the Oreo shakes though.... but cheaper than most places! My husband and I can each get a double Ben cheese burger, large fries for each of us. A large shake to share and a chicken strip meal with fries for our 3 year old ALL for $26. I couldn't do that at McDonalds but this food is real unlike McDonald's. We've gone back 3 nights in a row. read more

Burger Bar needs to teach every other burger place how to make fries!! I have never had a soggy French fry from them and I am always craving them! And the buns they put their burgers on....YUM! Bring your own chairs and love it! Big. Awesome. Greasy as hell! We caught this place while on a road trip visiting Salt Lake and Antelope Island. Don't miss the spectacular shakes or onion rings. We already had our own chairs, so it weren't no thing to go in picnic mode behind the car in the parking lot. Who needs seating when the food is this good? My favorite place to get great food. Especially in the summer. Their outside dining area and the atmosphere that comes along with it makes dining there super comfortable. I saw this on the food network for one of the episodes for Diners, drive ins and dives and I'm glad I finally was able to check this place out! It's hard for me to come here often bc it's in Roy and I live in SLC but this will definitely be a place I visit whenever I'm in Roy. The reviews were correct about the burgers- very delish. I had their Big Ben with cheese and the burger is huge! The meat is cooked to perfection and the veggies are fresh. The bun is soft and chewy but not undercooked. My friend got the steak sandwich and he wasn't fond of the bun but ended up eating all the meat inside. My friend felt like the bun was undercooked and would've preferred it toasted but we all have different taste so.. Meh. I loved my entire meal. The portions are huge. The fries are crispy and comes with two fry sauces and if you want extra, they charge you more. The fry sauce in the burger makes it a winner. The fry sauce is made in house and taste so much better than the fry sauce you find anywhere else like at McDonald's, Arby's or arctic circle. The fried mushrooms are yummy and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside and comes with a side of ranch dipping sauce. I wish burger bar was closer to me bc I would continue to give them my business. This establishment is family owned and operated and I can taste the love they put into serving quality burgers. Hmm...so I should've known better by the reviews. I know why people live fry sauce here. The fries taste bland. They're nothing special at all. The burger was thin, covered in sauce. I had the big Ben with cheese and the sauce reminds me of the kind on a big mac. The bread is doughy but good. I would rather eat at Five Guys or In and Out Burger before here if we are talking fast food. The only thing that stands out here for me are their milkshakes - which are thick, generous portions and tasty. Their food is cheap but just not worth all the hype or lines. The Burger Bar - celebrity of the Food Network's show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" was a designated stop on our road trip from Denver to Seattle. It was only a mile off our designated route, and with all the praise heaped on it from internet denizens and food celebrities it was a no-brainer here to stop here for the obligatory mid-west road trip grease bomb. We ordered the Big Cheese Ben meal, which came with fries, and we added an order of fried mushrooms and a chocolate malt. The burger was good, but not stellar as the Hollywood treatment would suggest, and the fries were nice and crispy, but lacking a little in flavor. Inferior to Burger King fries, in my opinion. The fried mushrooms, however, were far better than any I've had from buffalo wings joints, with large mushrooms, a flavorful batter and a good choice of dipping goo - "fry sauce", cocktail sauce and a basic ranch. The chocolate malt was a lot more solid than I expected. Actually, it stuck out of the cup by about two inches, solid as a soft serve ice cream. So, not really a chocolate malts. In case the photographs don't tell the story, this is not a sit down diner. It's more of a front, with a kitchen crammed behind a wall of plexiglass; an aquarium of fast food exhibits. Order your food and wait on one of the well used and loved concrete benches. When you're number is called, march dutifully to the window and pick up your dripping sack of lipids. Then retreat to your vehicle. There are no tables or chairs. Its just you and the burger. You know, this is a good non-franchise burger place, but I don't see the star appeal. Solid food, but not something I'd crawl back to, begging for another handful of cheese and beef. No, this isn't worth the 7 hour drive at all. read more
