I had the please of meeting the guys and their amazing treats at the watermelon festival. All it took was a little sample that they dropped off while we were watching the band. That completely sold it for us. Of course, it was watermelon flavored, hence the festival.... Just that simple bite made a huge impact... We ordered two to share, the pistachio and cookies and creme. Let's just say that first bite, wow. The creme filling mixed with the crunchy cannoli and then topped with the extra toppings. It was just the right amount of YES for an afternoon out. The flavors were perfect together with each bite, it was better than the other. Clearly that order wasn't enough. We ordered 4 more to go as it was meant to be shared with friends. This time, basically all the flavors. Presentation was clean and simple. Nicely arranged in their box with the cute logo on top. Not only that, the guys were such sweethearts. Friendly and the cutest. If you haven't heard of them before, it's a must. Plus, it's in the city so that's perfect.... Highly recommend them and will definitely be back for more.

HOLY CANNOLI!!! We decided to take a walk down to the Farmer's Market down at the Northridge Mall. As we walked up and down the aisles we turned the corner and saw a cannoli truck!!! WHAT?! It is SO rare to find good cannoli here in California! Being from the East Coast, cannoli are a staple food item to ones diet, and a huge part of the food pyramid! ;) Some people do not understand how to make a good cannoli and sometimes the filling can be too sweet, or they don't fill the shell completely. This was NOT the case for Bug and Bear! They literally make the most perfect cannoli EVER! We loved that they have different selections of cannoli as well! Matthew and Joseph were literally SO sweet! As soon as we approached the truck to look at the menu they asked if we wanted to sample the cannoli! My girlfriend sampled the chocolate chip and I sampled the pistachio. Both tasted phenomenal! So of course, we HAD to order one to share, because to be honest these are like HUGE cannoli. We ended up ordering the traditional cannoli with chocolate chips and two cherries! We loved their energy and their shirts they have to purchase are SO adorable! They quickly whipped up our order and called us over to the window to check our order. To our surprise they put a little rainbow sour belt in the middle of the cannoli to make it a Pride cannoli! It was literally the perfect touch and it was much appreciated! The cannoli tasted so delicious. The filling was made perfectly. Matthew let us know that the recipe is from Joseph's family from Sicily! When he told us that, this literally elevated the cannoli so much more! They really take pride in their business and make sure that they give the best customer service WHILE providing an exceptional dessert treat! Everything about this cannoli had us smiling from the cute little touch of the "rainbow" to the delicious crunch of the shell, and of course the yummy filling! The best part was how the shell held up. This was a very excellent quality shell because it didn't crumble in your hand when taking a bite, and it was not soggy one bit! It was the perfect vehicle for this dessert! Matthew and Joseph were so sweet and let us know about their free delivery for orders! They also are at many different events so if you follow them on Instagram you're able to see where you can meet them for the best cannoli experience ever! Definitely go and check them out, you will not be disappointed! You definitely get the bang for your buck here so don't be afraid of the prices! Grab yourself a cannoli and sit back and be prepared to be mind-blown!

Our yummy Oreo cannoli from their food truck at the Monrovia Friday night market!

Bug & Bears is a sweet family-owned company making delicious homemade cannolis around the greater LA area. I found them at our local Friday night farmers market in Monrovia where they had their little food truck. They offer the traditional cannoli flavor as well as some specialty flavors - the night we visited them their special flavor was s'mores and it looked amazing! But we ended up going with the Oreo and it was so good! They even have an option to build your own cannoli! Their cannolis may seem a little pricey at $10 a pop but they are HUGE!! Absolutely massive - and delicious homemade yumminess so the quality is definitely there as well. One cannoli is more than enough for two people imo. The couple that own the company and make the cannolis were running the truck and they were SO nice and friendly - such a pleasant experience. Their truck is adorable with very well thought out displays. In addition to making all the local LA farmers market rounds, they offer advanced ordering and pickup at an LA location as well. We really enjoyed the delectable cannoli they made us and will definitely keep an eye out for them any time we visit the local farmers market!

They were at the Granada Hills Farmer's market. Very friendly and made a great cannoli. I'll have to try the different things they have next time.

Bug and Bear's Cannoli wedding cake

I tried Bug and Bear's Cannoli at a wedding recently, where they were served on a stunning 5-tier cake and honestly, they were the best I've ever had. The filling was super creamy and homemade-tasting, and the shell was nice and crunchy with chocolate chips that added a fun little twist. I went back to grab their pistachio flavor that was amazing and really different in a good way. Joe and Matt, the owners, were super friendly and fun to talk to, which made the whole experience even better. HIGHLY recommend them for any event!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! It was my first time trying these cannolis from here and let me just say they're amazing! I've tried the cannolis in Boston, but Bug & Bear's Cannoli are by far the best I've ever had. You can tell these are made with love and definitely worth coming back for. The owners are so kind and from the start were very welcoming. If you want to experience the greatest cannoli you'll ever try, this is the place. They are worth the drive from wherever you are. I will be back for more!

Absolutely delicious and the perfect treat on a hot summer day! Filled to the brim (and more) with delicious cream and covered in toppings. Friendly and welcoming service with a smile. You can tell that they really care about what they're making for you!!!

AmaZing cannolis! My Bostonian husband is a cannoli snob and it was impossible to find one in LA for the time we have lived here. After looking for 10years, we have finally found the place that meets his cannoli standards. Chef's kiss

6/5 stars! GENEROUSLY filled and you can choose different toppings for each side. The shells are crispy perfection. I will be returning!

    The perfect Pistachio Cannoli.
    Norge Y.

I walked into a Silver Lake bar and was immediately asked if I'd like a dessert. So, I looked at what was available and ordered a pistachio cannoli. It most definitely was the best cannoli I had had in a very long time! At most bakeries, the cannolis are already assembled so the filling has been sitting in the pastry for who-knows how long. Bug & Bear filled the cannoli to order so not only was the cream filling absolute perfection, the pastry dough was crisp and just the right consistency. Before leaving, I ordered another to go for my mom because I knew she'd love it.

I'm from the Bay Area but I've been to Cafe Dulce several times. My wife and I really like their Hong Kong Tea Latte and their Matcha drink, as well as their various donuts and baked goods. In the morning rush they can be a little busy but the staff work hard. On a recent visit I saw people eating their steak breakfast burritos, so I ordered one for myself and a coworker. The burritos were reasonable size, the steak was seasoned well, and the breakfast burrito had potatoes in it (I only like breakfast burritos that have potatoes/hash browns/tots in it). Keep supporting the classics, not just because they've been around for a while, but because they have strong products and service.

Mochi Twist ($5)-- Nice and dense mochi texture? I guess it's hard to describe but it's not hollow and airy like a typical donut. There's some chew to it. And it's not too sweet! Blueberry Roti ($4)-- Flaky crumble on top and blueberry jam?? YES YESSSS. I liked this so much I'd definitely go back for it. Blueberry jam is so underrated and it's rare to find it in a pastry! Makes for a good sweet lil treat. Hot latte ($5)-- Perfect!! No complaints. Not too milky, not too light. Good ratio. I was actually kind of worried ordering a latte because not every place does it right but it's good here! Iced blueberry matcha ($6?)-- I see lots of good things about this drink on here but ooooooof... it missed the mark and by a LOOOT too. It was green sweet cereal milk. Where's the matcha? Where's the blueberry? It was so confusing because I see the green and I know I ordered matcha... but it's just sweet milk! And it's not even blueberry flavored milk. Did they forget the blueberry jam? Syrup? Whatever they use? Because it just tastes like the milk after a bowl of Frosted Flakes or something like that. Very sad, very disappointing. Ended up tossing after a couple sips. ANDDD for those matcha purists this is NOOOT the place for you! They have it pre mixed in a milk gallon. So we just saw green milk coming out of a gallon into this cup like yeppppp ok expectations immediately lowered. Anyways, hot latte is good and the 2 pastries I got were good! Steer clear of the matcha!!!

It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.
