love a good hot chocolate and was interested in how this business would do after seeing all the…read morereviews and highlights they had. Upon our arrival, I liked the cute setup that they had to offer from the different areas within the shop and the pieces of chocolate history all throughout. So I didn't realize that, coming here, all that was served was versions of dark chocolate hot chocolate, so I was a little bummed, as I love milk chocolate but was still hoping for a sweeter taste, as I chose the lowest percentage of dark chocolate. During our time, we talked a bit to the owner, who was very sweet, and had a chance to learn more about the process and some of the products offered, which is nice to have an insight into their world. Of course, I recognize that this is a small business, and it seemed to be just the owner there, but 3 hot chocolates totaling more than $30 were really a lot more than I would've liked to pay, so I hoped it would be worth it. When we received it after a good minute, though it was just the owner working, so understandable, the hot chocolate was fine, on the smaller side, but thankfully, I ordered it with whipped cream, as it made it a little sweeter.

Here you will have the opportunity to both test, buy, and indulge in various types of chocolate of high quality and within the upper range of cacao levels, all the while enjoying an espresso, American coffee, and or another type of your favorite hot beverage. This is all done in a nice little quaint spot that only has a few seats to pull up and plop down in-so know that in advance CSA or Customer Service All Star Mocha was on hand to show my guest and I the ropes, recommend a few of his favorites, blend our drinks, and do it all with a smile....would highly recommend.

We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

The bakery is pretty cozy with displays of chocolate and coffee everywhere! I thought about picking up some chocolate but without a price tag I didn't want to take the risk. When we finally got up to order, we were greeted by a friendly staff who patiently let us view and decide on what to order. I think the line moves slowly because their pastries are all displayed in the corner rack, so you really have to look up and down to see all the available options. We ended up getting an Americano, a Cocoa cloud and chocolate croissant to enjoy there, and a lemon berry pastry and chocolate chip cookie to go. The food and drinks came out quickly. The chocolate croissant was visually stunning, you can see each of the 50 layers of laminated dough. The one downside for me was they don't reheat pastries, and all the premade ones have been sitting out so the croissant was cold and not very fresh. It was still delicious since you can tell they used good ingredients from the flavour of the butter and chocolate. I just wish the croissant layers itself were still flaky and crispy. The coffee tasted just ok and felt a bit watered down, we both craved a bit more caffeine after finishing the drinks. We tried the chocolate chip cookie and lemon berry pastry reheated after we got home. The heated up croissant layers were incredibly flakey buttery and delicious paired with the velvety lemon curd. The chocolate chip cookie however was a disappointment, after reheating it the texture of the cookie came out perfect with slightly crispy edges and a gooey center. However, the cookie itself didn't have a lot of flavour and the chocolate in it wasn't nearly as good as what they use in their chocolate croissants. I definitely think it's worth coming for a visit, but I would recommend just getting their croissant based pastries to go, and enjoying it at home once it's reheated for the optimal enjoyment.

Milla Chocolates…read moreis a beautiful little shop offering artisanal bonbons, chocolate drinks, and other sweet treats. I ordered a black sesame chocolate drink with two bonbons: pistachio and yuzu caramel. My kid devoured the pistachio in one bite, but the yuzu caramel was absolutely divine -- rich dark chocolate balanced perfectly with fragrant, real yuzu flavor. The drink was definitely too sweet for my taste though. Needed to take home and add milk into it and actually turned it into two drinks. They also have gorgeous gift boxes, customizable assortments, and prepackaged goodies -- perfect for gifting or indulging yourself. Service was amazing. The barista was super friendly. My paper bag with my take away lunch ripped in their store and she offered a beautiful bag without me even asking. She was patient in explaining their menu and helped me picked out Chocolates that my kids would love. Warm, welcoming, and refined -- this spot is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth in Culver City.
