Buffalo Grille has been a family favorite for over 5 years. The consistency of their food and service is remarkable. Their staff is friendly and tenured. It's amazing how long some of their staff has worked there, but it's no wonder because they all seem to get along and love what they do. We like Buffalo Grille for their breakfast, but they have a great lunch and dinner menu. We like their omelettes, migas, blueberry pancakes, thick cut bacon, and my favorite their chilaquiles. Their cinnamon flavored coffee is also a fan favorite and they sell bags of it for those of you who can't live without it. Their lunch and dinner menu ranges from burgers, meat loaf, casseroles, and chicken fried steak. They have a few healthy choices including grilled chicken and veggies. Came in with my wife super hopeful about this place. Unfortunately, we left really disappointed. Essentially, this place buys stock food off the Sysco food truck (a la cheap college/cafeteria style) and marks it up to Woodway-at-Voss prices. There's no "made from scratch" here. On a slightly tangential note, the inside smells just a little "off"; right on the edge of tolerable and unappetizing. I really wish I could write something positive about it, but there really is nothing special about this place. Came here on a whim. Parking was tough as it shares with multiple stores (not a very big lot tbh). You order your food and wait for them to call you so you can pick it up. No table service which isn't bad. Food is mediocre for the prices (ordered the 3b). Food came out relatively quick but luke warm. No real flavor to food either. Coffee isn't anything to write home about. Seating is awkward too. Staff gave us wrong receipt, couldn't take our Visa gift card and argued with me when I tried to get them to fix it. I don't recommend coming here. Denny's or iHop are way ahead of this place for far less money. read more

What the hell Yelp? I'm losing more and more faith in my fellow Yelpers as I try their recommendations. Because this place flopped, and it flopped HARD. Buffalo Grille is known for their breakfast food. Pretty simple, right? I enjoy breakfast burritos and sausage biscuits from McDonalds, so it can't be that hard. WRONG! To the Yelper who posted a picture of menu item 3B (2 scrambled eggs with cheddar and bacon): This was some of the worst breakfast food I've ever had. It literally tastes like nothing with a hint of eggy. The english muffin was incredibly dry and so cold the butter would not spread. To the Yelpers who raved about the hashbrowns: They were even worse than the shitty eggs! NO crunch, completely slimy and greasy, completely soft and limp, and I FUCKING THOUGHT THEY WERE GRILLED ONIONS UNTIL I PUT THEM IN MY MOUTH. They too taste like nothing, but this time with grease instead of eggy. To the Yelpers who posted pictures of and praised the peppered bacon: Best Western's free breakfast buffet does it better. Have you never had bacon? It tasted literally of only salt and pepper. In fact, I'm pretty sure if I salted/peppered my own bacon, it would be much better. Was it worth the $3? Fuck no! The only redeeming aspect of it was the texture, simply because it was greasy as hell. To the Yelpers wanting to try the catfish: This was the only reason Buffalo Grille didn't get a 1 star. It was alright, like a C+. I ordered the Acapulco Catfish which comes with Spanish rice and pico. The pico completely overpowers everything else. The lemon they give you to accent your fish is literally sliced so thin that it's only good as decoration. I got a side of the "parmesean and rosemary" mashed potatoes. It came out cold. Not like room temperature, but actually cold. Like it had been sitting in a fridge and the guy didn't microwave it long enough. It was bland. CONCLUSION: 1. THIS PLACE SUCKED. 2. At $21 (no drinks), I expected better than iHop. 3. Yelpers either don't know wtf they're eating or talking about, or the quality has gone down the shitter. 4. This was my first and ONLY meal of the day (8:30pm) AND I DIDN'T BOTHER TO EVEN TRY AND FINISH. 5. My buddy, whom I ate with, is now taking a VERY AUDIBLE SHIT ONLY 45 MINUTES AFTER EATING HERE. I went on a Friday night and too my surprise...STEAK NIGHT!!!! A 10 oz, New York Strip served with either your choice of two sides or a fully loaded bake potato all for $11.95. However, as I am standing at the register ready to order my carnivore's delight, something so very appealing crossed my eye's...someone had ordered the special, Pecan Crusted Catfish with a creamy creole sauce on top, served over a bed of rice, with your choice of one side and a heaping piece of jalepeno cornbread...OMG!!! The portion sizes were huge, definately enough for two meals and it was all for $9.95. The pecan crusted catfish was quite tasty! It had a very mild and smooth flavor that was complimented very well by the creamy creole sauce. The jalepeno cornbread was moist, buttery, and totally completed the meal! And as for my side...a huge side of fries that were great. And as for that New York Strip? My girlfriend ended up getting it and it was well cooked, tender, and quite tasty! Unfortunately, the one time I was awake, I was pretty disappointed with the breakfast offering at The Buffalo Grille. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? What I will say is that Buffalo Grille has the atmosphere bit down pat. With a simple walkthrough ordering process and abundant seating both inside and out, it's easy to see why TBG is such a weekend brunch hangout. Service is fast and friendly. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? To be completely honest, I don't remember how much I paid for my bagel with a side of hashbrowns, but I'm confident it was under $5, which is completely reasonable. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? And with that it all went wrong. First and foremost, my onion bagel was bland, boring and obviously store bought. To make matters worse, it wasn't even properly heated, and I was tempted to disregard it after only a few bites. The hash browns? Equally weak. It's hard to botch hash browns, but it's equally hard to really nail them. Instead of a crispy treat with wildcard flavors like pepper and garlic, these were soft and soggy, representing everything I dislike about poor hash browns. Poor. No Stars Granted. Whenever I'm in Houston, people always suggest going to yuppie brunch spots like Benjy's or Baby Barnaby's, when all I really want are Buffalo Grille's buttery pancakes, cheesy stuffed baked potatoes, and delicious french toast. Don't get me wrong, those places are pretty good, but sometimes all you really want is a brunch that's not going to break the bank and a waiter/waitress who is not going to bother you every five minutes and coax you into leaving. Thank goodness for Buffalo Grille where a good meal usually costs me $8 or less and you can stay there hours on end without being bothered. I first discovered Buffalo Grille on New Year's Day and it was the best hangover cure ever. DON'T JUDGE ME, I know this is a family friendly place, but sometimes you need some good breakfast food to cure a bad hangover. Our group got tons to order, but among my favorites were the hash browns (so golden and crispy!), strawberry french toast, omelette, and my absolute favorite was the stuffed baked potato (#4) that has cheese, avocado, salsa, and so much goodness in it. Seriously, I still crave it. I've been back a couple of times and once a friend got their cream cheese and chive eggs which were also delicious. The place is not a fancy restaurant by any means, but it definitely is cute and cozy. It's great for big groups and their menu selection is huge, so it will definitely satisfy any taste. I love me some breakfast food at all hours of the day, so Buffalo Grille is a nice place to get it. The food is greasy delicious. I always get the Migas and I always leave full and happy. The one thing I do not like is the bacon. The bacon tastes kind of like jerky to me so I tend to stay away. From what I've seen the non-breakfast stuff isn't great, but that's what you get for not getting breakfast food when it is available. First off, it seemed like the cooks don't exactly take pride in what they're making, it was as if they phoned in most of the food so as to keep everything moving quickly. The food was reasonably tasty, but not something I would wait in a wrap around line for. The seating isn't exactly plentiful either, as it seemed highly plausible to be left unable to find a table after ordering. That said, the atmosphere was generally pleasant, which I suppose is a large factor in the place's appeal. This place is pretty good, though the 2 major strikes against them 1.) Lack of seating 2.) Inconsistent food prep. We've been here for breakfast quite a few times and tried to come here several more. 75% of the times we've dined, the food has been great (especially the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, various Tex-Mex specials and cinnamon coffee) but the rest of the times, the food has been undercooked or just not quite prepared right. It's definitely a unique place, the service has always been quick and friendly, so our out-of-town guests we took have been impressed, because thankfully those times were good experiences -- but unfortunately, their location is tiny and right next to the huge Second Baptist Church.
