We frequent this place after church very regularly and I love that they always anticipate the church rush and are always very prepared. Even though the lines get pretty long, they are quick with the service and cleanup. The food is fresh and the prices are somewhat reasonable. I love that. It is a casual breakfast place with exceptional service and quickness. I always offer for the # 14, which comes with a stack of pancake, two eggs, two meats. This is definitely plenty for two people. I ought to make the pancakes blueberry and they are exceptional especially with the fresh butter and hot syrup. It really pairs well with the toasted cinnamon coffee. As someone who's managed a coffee shop/wine bar in Hedwig Village for a couple years and has been coming to Buffalo Grill for over a decade, I am genuinely impressed by the positive transformation this place has made. You can immediately tell the staff is being led well; everyone is SO upbeat, attentive, and genuinely happy to be here. The service feels warm and personal. Every guest is acknowledged, and they make a point to say goodbye to everyone on their way out. That kind of hospitality only comes from a healthy work culture, and it shows in every interaction. The food, even with some changes, continues to be solid for the price. Today we ordered the chicken tenders and the kids' breakfast, and everything came out fresh and tasty. I brought my youngest with me, and even he experienced great service, he asked for a to-go box and was treated with such a level of kindness from someone in management just about the same level of kindness and attentiveness as any adult guest. The ambience hasn't changed much in the last 10 years, but honestly, the improvement in the work culture makes the space feel more welcoming than it has in a long time. There's a comfort in the familiarity of the atmosphere paired with the uplift in the team's energy. Been here three times within a year now and unfortunately hasn't been a place that has me coming back. Food can sometimes be overcooked and not tasteful. This time I got the 2 eggs any style. Was never asked how I wanted my eggs and yes my fault for not mentioning but also should have been asked. Hashbrowns were oily and no texture. Service is great and friendly every time I come. But to be cooked from scratch, should have more flavor and stand out more but haven't had that feeling. Last time I ordered a BLT and the bacon crumbled because it was so overcooked. Buffalo Grille is an institution. I've always heard good things about them. For whatever reasons, I've driven by here for years and never tried it - until now. The restaurant looks incredible inside. It is really quite charming. A friendly, personable gentleman was the manager and he was working the counter and on top of things. My friend and I both ordered one of the daily specials which was a basket of fried shrimp and French fries. Fried shrimp were somewhat fresh. We are an hour from the gulf, so you can't expect them to be super fresh like you're on the water and the boat just came in. They were slightly overcooked. Now, I must admit that I am a picky bastard when it comes to seafood. So, take my critique with a grain of salt. Most people would scarf them down and enjoy them. Cocktail and tartar sauces were excellent. Probably best in town. The French fries were addicting. I'm definitely going back and look forward to trying their other fare. read more

A Houston staple, recently bought by the same family which owns/ runs Adair Kitchen, Los Tios, etc... Huge pancakes are the some of the best in town. I usually aim for the lower carb, high protein eggs over easy, turkey sausage, etc. However the biscuits are very good. I'd say the pancake syrup is on the lower end quality scale (I'm guessing refined sugar with food coloring). That said the prices remain relatively reasonable in this inflation adjust age. The condiments were made with everything but the actual product. The egg was good, the hot cake was good, the bacon could've been cooked longer, it was too greasy and limp. Nice restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is served all day. We had their lunch menu today. BLT basket and a chicken salad basket. Both sandwiches came with chips. I originally wanted breakfast, but I wanted items that seemed kinda pricey. They have breakfast plates available, but I wanted eggs and 2 meats. All meets are priced al la carte. For instance, a sausage link or patty was $4.39 each. That seemed crazy expensive to me. I opted for the lunch instead. Seating is complicated if you go around the breakfast hours or the lunch rush. We didn't have any trouble finding a table since it was after the busy time. They have small patios on both sides of the restaurant. Patios are dog friendly. This establishment is a walk up order style. They call your name and you retrieve your food. You also get your own drink. With all the self service, they still ask for a tip when paying. If you follow me, you will notice a trend here; I don't like the expectation of tipping these days. It grinds my gears! All that said, I do like the restaurant and I recommend it. Ordered a nice chocolate milk thinking that was the move but instead I take a swig and the milk is like slime, checked the label after and it was expired. Had their BGLT on white bread. Sandwich was small though tasty enough. There were a few potato chips served with the sandwich but not many. If a loud venue is what you are looking, this is the place. I feel a bit offended when asked for a tip at check out as customers both order and pick up their food at the counter. Customers get their own silverware, drinks....all the work. There is no "service." As the customer does all the work so I am not sure why a tip would be required. Would maybe go back if friends wanted to go though really not high on my revisit priority list. read more

This place has great chilaquiles on the weekends. The refries beans actually have flavor! The eggs are cooked perrfectly and the sauce they use is tasty. Buffalo Grille is located in a nice shopping center with several other businesses. It can get pretty busy at peak hours but I was able to find a spot at 11:30 on a Friday. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. For lunch, you can order both breakfast and lunch items as breakfast is offered all day. That gives you a lot of options but it's your basic American fare with a Mexican twist. Not much stands out on the menu as far as creativity but they do have a nice variety. I went with the lunch menu and got a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat with fries. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were interesting. They had a breading of sorts, I liked it. Buffalo Grille get pretty busy but the line moves quickly. If you're there at a peak hour, things can get pretty annoying because they're seemingly calling out someone's name on the loudspeaker every 20 seconds. It's annoying and disruptive.
