The host was super nice and did great recommendations. The place is small (a lot of people come in to take to go orders) but they have 2 small tables if you want to eat there. The pierogis (potato and cheese) traditional were great, add sour cream. The cabbage rolls were perfect. The pierogi pizza with bacon and kraut had a great flavor. Ok So these are some of the best pierogies in the country. The cook here is ON FIRE. Really sweet guy. I ordered everything they had and he got it all done with a smile and even checked on me cause I had to wait I ordered so much. The girls behind the counter are just kids. No real feeling of professionalism here. I asked to use the bathroom and she said I could. I went outside to tell my partner about the wait and when I went back in, the other girl told me bathroom is for employees only. I told her nicely I had driven from NYC for pierogie, she shrugged an told me to pee outside. So enjoy your pierogies, but don't count on an adult taking your money. This is the kind of place that could become a legend, but probably won't cause the desk staff just don't care. Some training in customer service and or management might help. Or consistent answer on that bathroom. We were passing through Greensburg and wanted to try something new, found this little gem passing thru so glad we stopped. Though he didnt really have alot of eat in space he pulled the two tables together so we could eat in. Food came out fast and tasted spectacular we tried the chicken lips and shared a pizza both amazing the chicken lips had just the perfect amount of breading so they were crisp but were seasoned perfect and not all breading enhancing the chicken. My son tried the pierogies and they were excellent. We got some pierogies take and make in the bacon and also oreo flavor. He told us how to make them to make them taste the best and man tonight we took the oreo out of the freezer and made them for dessert and they were heaven sent will definitely be going back to get more in future. read more

Those who drag on and on about Iron born pizza haven't had bubba's. There Detroit style with the sweet sauce on top is absolutely amazing. Their chicken nuggets (Chicken lips) (idk why they're called that) are absolutely amazing. They have a fridge with a bunch of fresh soups that are occasionally made. This was the first time I ordered from Bubbas and all I can say is fantastic!!! I got the Polish platter, pizza, chicken lips, soup, and pulled pork sandwich! My family and I loved everything! The perogies were amazing as were the cabbage rolls! The pizza was like no other in Westmoreland County...thick crust and great sauce! The soup was delicious and so homemade! When I got home, I realized that I didn't get my pulled pork sandwich, which was for my son who has Down Syndrome and I told him that's what he was getting...so he was looking for it! So, I called and told them! They took my address and said they would deliver it! I told them no because I live about 8 miles away! Well there was a knock on my door and it was a very nice guy who delivered my sandwich! I couldn't believe it...he was so nice and apologetic! My son was ecstatic! I love Bubba's! It's the best place for takeout comfort food. The halupkis are the best, especially if you get the mashed potatoes, too. Pierogies are available in several varieties but my favorite is the traditional cheese and potato. The staff are always friendly and nice. This place is very busy. Checked Yelp for a recommendation as we were coming through Greenburg and decided on Bubba's. We are so glad we did! Not only did we get some amazing chicken lips and pierogi pizza to eat, got some pierogis to take home, but we had a nice chat with the person who checked us out, who directed us to stop at Buttermilk Falls on the way home. These guys have literally never let me down since I started ordering delivery. The food is solid, they're super chill over the phone and in person. And tonight I tested them. I ate at the North Huntington / Irwin location. Great homemade style Polish food. The Chicken Lips were quite tasty (with the old-grand-dad seasoning; not spicy, but tangy), and the deep fried pierogies were exceptional. The location is a former Dairy Queen so it's a little small, but very clean and organized. We got there early, but I can see some wait times happening when the place takes off. Looking forward to my next 6-pack of pierogies at Bubba's for sure, and maybe some Pizza (which seems to be quite awesome from the reviews). read more

Well advertised is the best fish sandwich around I was curious. Expecting a golden lightly fried fish sandwich I got a disappointingly overcooked and too dark product. However the coleslaw was excellent. The potato pancakes were acceptable but nothing special. My sister who had the same meal said they used to be really good and they were slipping. Bubba's certainly minimized the pressure of planning a party and I will certainly call upon them for any future catering needs. It is a family operated business and at any given time you can walk into the place and see them making pierogies or any other one of their Polish specialties . With this said, you don't even have to see them in operation, the aromas alone lets you know that something good is happening here! We found out about bubba's around September and have since made quite a few trips out to greensburg to pick up the best pizza and Pierogis in the area. the staff is so friendly and helpful and the environment is homey. The desert Pierogis are a true treat and focaccia pizza is absolutely top tier. My polish grandma even likes the food- so you know its good. The staff were so helpful yesterday when my keys got locked in the car and let us take shelter inside for HOURS until AAA got there and one delivery driver even went around looking for wire hangers for us to pop the window. Best pizza in Greensburg, PA! I was visiting my hometown of Greensburg this past weekend and was craving pizza. Being from Greensburg, I know there is not a single good pizza place, so I decided to look on Yelp. That's where I found Bubbas. I read through a few reviews and decided I would give it a shot. I mean what did I actually have to lose !? I called and placed my order with a friendly gentlemen who informed me that 2, 4-cuts would be plenty for my sister and I and that we most likely would have some leftover (he was right). I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza - I got it without the blu cheese and added extra ranch - and a pepperoni pizza. I waited roughly 30 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The buffalo pizza was awesome. The chicken was fresh and you could tell! It didn't have that awful rubbery taste. The sauce on the pepperoni was also very tasty. Overall, We both liked the pizza a lot and even left two slices for our parents to try! Needless to say, I think we all will be ordering again real soon! Additional review --- had pizza on 8/6/16. Bubba's was anything but what I'd expected. A little take-out joint on a side street in Greensburg, Jules and I made our way there while out on Black Friday, searching for some deals. From first appearance, the place is a dive. A few tables sit near the window, pop bottle rest in a cooler against the wall, and Pitt's playing on a tv overhanging the counter. But wow. Just wow. Bubba's has one of the absolute best Italian roast beef sandwiches I've had, outside of the amazing Al's Beef in Chicago. Succulent, tender, with just enough au jus, served on a gloriously soft potato roll. Oh, man. A little bit of mustard on that, and I'm in heaven. Jules, ordering the pirogies, said pretty damned much the same. Dripping in the eponymous onions and butter, they looked phenomenal. I've ordered twice from Bubba's. But I've yet to order the pizza. On my first occasion, I ordered some of the chicken lips and a sub. On my most recent order, I had to have the chicken lips again, and I ordered some pierogies. The food is delicious... especially the chicken lips. (They are not quite boneless chicken wings, but they aren't popcorn chicken either. You just have to try them.) I can't wait to keep trying other items on the menu. I read the reviews before going to Bubba's and was very excited to eat authentic Polish pierogies since we can't get the real thing where I live in Texas. I brought along my coworker so he could see what he had been missing all of his life. Unfortunately, I was somewhat underwhelmed. I ordered the potato and cheese pierogies with butter and onions not realizing that they would be served in a bowl with literally 1 1/2 inches of melted butter. The onions were not pan fried, they were still white. The pierogies were good, but it was more like pierogie soup with butter as the broth. My coworker had the burger and he compared it to the kind of burger that is served at a high school football concession stand. It was okay, but he certainly wouldn't go out of his way to eat a burger from Bubba's. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to find a parking spot right out front. A lot of people came in to pick up to-go orders while we were eating. If I lived nearby, I would suggest getting the pierogies to go, then pan frying them at home to add a little crispy-ness to the outside and to brown the onions. When we were done eating I asked if there was a ladies' room that I could use and I was told, "There is a broom closet." I waited until I got back to my workplace. read more
