Does the New Location Hurt Them? I recently sent in my medium size order to the Greensburg site. When there I was told that all priories were now made in Irwin. Reason they have more space for new equipment and volume for both stores. Said OK. When I eat them the dough was really thick and goodies lacking in taste. We ordered a few different kinds. My friends from out of town really did not know the difference, but said they were just OK. Now I have been ordering here for some time now and wondered if others saw the difference. This was my second time recently with same results. Thinking maybe just the kids cooking them up. By the way I'm polish and grow up with them. And I also asked for onions well done and that didn't happen twice. Growth is good but not at the expense of quality. Just curious if others jsee the same thing. read more

I am a man that loves pizza. I have tried hundreds of pizza places. Bubba's has by far the best pizza I have ever eaten. There were some places I loved that I thought couldn't be beaten. Bubba's blows them out of the water. Not only do you get an amazing pizza, but the best appetizer I have ever had...chicken lips. My boyfriend and I were looking for new places to try in greensburg, so of course we went on Yelp. Him being polish has to try it, but we had his handicap son and there was no place to get him in so we saved it for a later date. When we went back he was so excited to try it and ordered as much food as he could! He may have gotten a little excited! Grab your babushka and get your duppa to Bubbas....albeight corny but was my visit impressive. Customer service was outstanding, better than my own family. I sampled the halupki, which is in a tomato base sauce and more flavorful and moist then what I'm use to. Kielbasa was from a pittsburgh shop and stands above anything you can find at a local grocery store. Pizza with the a very nice sauce on top was excellent as well, thick crisp crust without the grease. I've been in a food coma since lunch and I still have leftovers for tomorrow. In the two months since my first review, we've gotten delivery from Bubba's more times than I care to admit. I'm upgrading them to five stars; here's why: --chicken lips: these are terribly named, but very delicious. Think "boneless wings", but maybe a little smaller, with a huge variety of sauces. I'm partial to the house flavor "ole grand dad". My husband has tried a bunch and his favorite his the barbecue, but liked the hot and buffalo as well. A friend told me you can order them grilled instead of fried if you're interested in cutting back in calories or gluten. --chicken lips salad: a smaller portion of chicken on top of a very generously sized and not-boring house salad. --pizza: I'm generally not a fan of thick crust, but I like the pizza at Bubba's. They put the sauce on top which is an interesting twist, but it works for them. A 4-cut is usually 2 servings for me, so it's a great deal. --pierogies: I mentioned these last time, but they're worth mentioning again. Where else could you have pierogies delivered? You can order them hot with caramelized onions, or cold to sauté on your own later. --pierogi pizza: last but not least. Only in western PA would you put mashed potatoes and cheddar on top of a crust and call it a pizza. I can't make fun of it any more, though, because despite the fact that it's probably a gazillion calories, it's delicious and I'd order it again in a heartbeat. The closest thing to heaven in Greensburg! Bubba's is my all time favorite take-out place in Greensburg, hands down. The food is to die for! They have the most wonderful perogies, haluski, halupski, sandwiches, pizza, EVERYTHING! My personal favorite is the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Lips! (Chicken Lips are chunks of all white breast meat, deep fried, and serve with a sauce) The service at Bubba's is incredible as well. They have the most nicest group of young guys there. They are always polite, always attentive, and give very quick service! Now, this is only a take-out/delivery place, but I'm 100% on board with that! I can't say anything bad about Bubba's! Even though we live in the area, we just became aware of this place and tried some takeout for lunch. Tried the 'lips and fries' and also a pizza loaded up with several toppings. The lips and fries were very good (we had the house seasoning), and the more I had the more I wanted. The lips (chicken) were cooked well (for SW Pa wing fans, that means it was actually cooked), and both the chicken and the fries had a nice crispy outside. The pizza was very different for this area, and was very good. I was a bit worried when another reviewer compared the sauce to Jioio's, but it was not overly sweet at all. We will definitely be back. In regard to the other reviews that complained that the lips are 'poorly named' and more like 'boneless wings', try to remember that boneless wings are also poorly named (there is no such thing), they are just chicken fingers, which are also poorly named btw ;-) read more

Bubba's buffalo chicken pizza is incredible. I don't typically do "designer pizza," but this is special, special stuff. Of course, you can't go wrong with the traditional polish fare, either. While in Greensburg this evening I decided to give this place a try! I am sure glad that we did! The fella that took our order couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We decided to try a few different things and each got better with every bite. I am 40 miles away but I will not hesitate to make another trip to try more! Not terribly impressed with this pizza. Ordered take-out pizza, small salad, and soda. Salad was bland and boring, literally just iceberg lettuce, black olives, a heap of cheese, and two tomato wedges. Making a salad exciting should not be difficult. The pizza itself had such a different flavor that it didn't satisfy my need for pizza at all. I don't hate sweet sauce, (I love jioios) but this sauce is not for me. It's almost too sweet and tangy and the crust had a very strong yeast flavor. The staff were great, very nice and the delivery was fast. I was visiting the area for a baby shower this past weekend and decided to give Bubba's a try. I ordered a half dozen potato and cheese pierogies prepared traditional style with drawn butter and sauteed onions. I got this to go. I also found out that they sold ice cream as well and I got a "scoop" of Piece of Cake ice cream to go. It was more like 3 scoops in reality. I ended up having desert first on the way back to the hotel in the car. It was really really delicious. Then I had the pierogies at the hotel before settling down to watch some TV. Wow! Ordered a double pizza, and had it delivered. Pizza took an hour and 20 minutes (instead of 45 like I was told). This was around 11:30 on a friday, which I would not expect to be a super busy time. By the time I got the pizza, it was cold. I would imagine that this pizza would be very good hot out of the oven, but really was lacking cold, even more so than most pizzas. read more

Have stopped here 3-4 times now and everything we've tried is awesome. We've taken the frozen pierogis home to cook and they are also great. Staff is very friendly. Had the buffalo chicken pizza and it was very good, ordered carry out and it was ready in about ten minutes. Definitely enough food for two meals. It's a good deep dish/thick crust pizza and the toppings are great. As an out of town guest, I was offered some Pierogies to try for the first time and they were awesome! Don't have anything to compare them to but these have set the bar high. Overall, great food and great customer service, if I ever find myself in the area again, I will definitely be back! I'm not sure how this place got so many stars. I'm a huge pierogi connoisseur. They're one of my favorite foods and I had never had a pierogi I didn't love until I tried these. I'd honestly rather have Mrs T's frozen ones, which would make the little polish grandmother who made me my first ones roll over in her grave. I have no doubt she'd prefer store bought to these as well. Both the outside and the inside of these are super dense. They're supposed to be light and fluffy. They're cheesier than they're supposed to be. It's supposed to be a nice complementary blend but it wasn't. I couldn't taste the potato at all. We got multiple flavors and none of us could taste the extras in them, which cost more. If I'm buying a flavored pierogi, I want to taste that flavor. I would not buy these again. The only redeeming quality was the size, which isn't that impressive when they're not good. The the larger size is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. read more

I visited Bubba's after a softball tournament in Harrison City. The owners are super nice and friendly!! We dined in. My husband, daughter and I shared potato and cheese perogies both traditional and fried and we also tried the deep fried chicken lips (chicken tenderloins) with their house seasoning. Wow! Everything was delicious!! The seasoning was very unique. The perogies were perfect. We also had their ice cream. So many unique flavors. They let you sample ice creams. While we were there we noticed quite a few customers come in for take outs. We have another tournament in a couple weeks and will be back. read more

Wish I could write a whole page. Short version, we had them cater our son's graduation party. Right up front, the manager (Kathy) explained all the options (from simple food delivery to full service with wait-staff) and worked with us to get the right amounts of everything we wanted. All along the way, she and the others we dealt with were friendly and had helpful tips & pointers to make things go right. Delivery was on time and the staff went above & beyond to help us set it up well. And the food -- stuffed cabbage, pierogies, haluski, "chicken lips," pasta salad, tossed salad -- all of it was fresh and delicious. Last lent I was curious and ordered their crab pierogi's, to my surprise, I loved them. Had ordered them many fridays. I couldn't wait until this lent to order them again. Got bubbas delivery when staying at a local hotel. Roast beef pizza was superb, real roast beef chunks, with a white sauce drizzle. Thick crust and square cut.
