I took off a star because the pizza had a slight flavor to it - almost metal like there was also two dead birds visible in the exhaust fan on the side of the building facing the road, and they were the first thing we saw when approaching the restaurant.

As we do with good places to eat, we went back to Beck's and continue to go back…read more Back in May, we placed another order. Since Beck's removes their specials from their Facebook page, I'm trying to remember what I ordered via the pics I took. One was a hot sausage sub with fries; think it was around $9.50 and we actually ordered a couple of these specials. You know when you get a hot sausage sub and it's just not hot? Not here. As Guy Fiera would say, this is a one-way trip to Flavortown. I'd order this again. The only problems was: we enjoyed the sandwiches so much we didn't notice until we finished them that they didn't give us fries for either order. We contacted them the next day - the only response was 'sorry about that.' Our mistake for not checking the order before we left (which we will do from now on), but I was hoping for something a little more customer friendly. The mac'n'cheese bites are also a buy-again items. The fried dill pickle chips were good, but the mac'n'cheese bites were better. Another fantastic item everyone liked was the Jamaican jerk wings. Another item I'd DEFINITELY buy again. I'm not going to let one minor order snafu from stopping me from returning.

When we first moved in we ordered a Cillian. One of the employees told me it's was so good it the place did not have to be open on the weekends. Well I disagreed. I read it was under new ownership, and saw their social media posts, so we tried it again. We ordered the New York style. It was better than expected. Nice crust and good sauce. I would like more cheese , but I'll order that next time. The crust was a One Bite / Portnoy type undercarriage. Crisp and a little chewy. A Pittsburgh type pie IMO! Lastly, the employees seemed nice and the dining room is very nice. Don't know if the employees were also owners, but very courteous. AND they are now open WEEKENDS! I wish them the best and will be trying the Cillian next. Good luck.
