Rating just on the steak & cheese hoagie which is the only thing I ever get cause it's so unbelievable. I've never had bread toasted like that and I love that it isn't a traditional steak & cheese. Just lettuce, tomato, mayo, & cheese. I'm being completely serious, if I could only eat one more thing in my life it would be this sandwich (& a piece of Bethel Bakery cake). We stopped in here after seeing this place on Local Flavor. The white pizza was amazing and the rest of our party really liked the meat lover's pizza. We also ordered a Greek salad, which was great. They did not skimp on the feta and veggies, which I appreciated. The staff was super nice and the patio area looked great, but we sat inside due to the temperature outside. We decided to try because of a decent yelp. We were not disappointed at all! We got a medium pizza and a large calzone. The medium was big! And it was delicious! The flavor of the crust was fantastic! The sausage was crumbled and had great flavor. The calzone was AMAZING! The dough was cooked to perfection! It tasted like it had a bit of butter on the top. They did not skimp on the filling either! It was so thick! It comes with sauce but honestly I didn't need it. The meats and cheeses were out of this world. This is such a diamond in the rough! They have a nice outdoor patio and we were able to watch the Penguins game and enjoy great food and some good beer. The zucchini appetizer is very good, sliced like silver dollars and not planks which was a nice change of pace. The woman owner is absolutely rude! I went in to support the business, and ordered lunch to eat in from a nice, friendly gentleman. A woman, whom I never met, ( I don't even know her name), came over to me, and just started ranting and berating me. I told her I didn't like the conversation, and she told me she didn't want me as I customer. Really? I never saw her before, and I am fairly new to the area! I paid, took my food to go, sans tip and left. Unprofessional! I don't deal with rude people, and she is one, know it all, abusive woman. It is sad that she exhibits such behavior to someone she has never met before. The previous owners were great. I don't know the new owners, but she was just rude... there are other great pizza and hoagie places around, that aren't nasty to their customers for no reason. When I left and out the door, she was still yelling! Wow just wow! Having a bad day? keep it to yourself! I am so not interested in your drama. I will go where I am treated well and respected. Out of Towner looking for a great spot for pizza and a sandwich. Heard this place was a great hidden gem and it didn't disappoint! Ordered a large pizza with half pepperoni and the pizza was LOADED with pepperoni, it was excellent. I also got a cheesesteak with onions and let me tell you, this was packed with meat, flavorful cheese, the right amount of onions, all stuffed inside a crusty roll. People don't realize how a roll can sometimes make or break a sandwich, and this roll was great. Will definitely be going again!!! read more

We ordered take out from Lorenzo's this weeks. The pizza and wings were super. Loved that they served the whole wings. Sauce was spicy without being overly so. High point was the calzone, which was stuffed with meat and cheese. They recently changed owners and they are renovating the dining room so they are only doing takeout till mid Feb. read more

I want to love this place. Seems like a nice family run restaurant with a great patio but the cheese on the pizza is so chewy :( I was actually afraid to give it to my three year old for fear she would choke. If they could just change the pizza recipe a bit we would love to be able to frequent this place. Slightly thicker crust so the pizza stands up a bit better while eating and not so chewy cheese. read more

I always give places a second chance which I did. I will never go back. The food is awful. First time my white pizza with chicken was dry and burnt. Second time we got a steak calzone. Placed an order last weekend and none of it was right. Quality was also very poor. The phone system is even awful. We've been loyal Lorenzo's customers for over 15 years and were more than upset to hear that the previous owners had sold the place, but decided to give the new owners a try in the hopes that little had changed. Unfortunately our worst fears were confirmed when, after waiting over an hour and a half for a pickup order, we received a piping hot box of disappointment. I was utterly disheartened upon slicing into the calzone we ordered to discover that the new owners have decided to start nickel and diming us on the calzone meat. What was once a hearty and delicious weekly treat was reduced to a bready shell of its former self. As if the Subway-level meat portions weren't enough, they also decided to nix the ricotta, turning our calzone into a stromboli. I'm shocked and saddened at the parsimonious direction the new owners are taking with a beloved local pizza joint. read more
