We ordered a 14" half plain/half pepperoni pizza to share. We sat on one of the outside tables. The person who took our order brought it out. The pizza was good, the side with the pepperoni was better: the pepperoni was sliced very thin and the slices were bigger than the pepperoni we're used to; the plain side was okay, not very flavorful. read more

Yesterday while passing through this area we stopped here for our first time. I always thought they only had pie but I was wrong. The have great pizza. They have the thin crusted loaded with toppings. We had the meat lovers which was covered with large pepperonis and lots of bacon. Then there are the deserts. Smooth custard with all kinds of ways to eat it. The young lady working the custard window was very helpful. I had the apple pie sundae. My wife had the sundae flights which is up to 4 different flavored sundaes. The place is small but they have lots of outdoor seating. If you're ever passing through I'd say stop because they probably have something for you. read more

Ask for an itemized receipt before you leave because they didn't give one automatically. They charged my order an extra %20 because it was $5 over $200 which made my $15 tip a $55 tip which is 25%+ tip on a TO-GO order which is insane. I've never heard of a restaurant that charges you MORE for ordering more food. Most places I visit give a discount for larger orders. Pizza was mediocre, cafeteria quality. The pies were good though. Never going back. read more

I purchased a mixed berry pie from this place. It was SO good! I was so happy with it I forgot to take a picture! The best part was the price. Extremely reasonable especially for how much fruit was in it! This seems to mainly be a pizza pie place, but don't leave without fruit pie! read more

Got a supreme pizza here, was very good and service was very quick. Would recommend ordering here while in the area. Although we did not get the apple pie it did look quite good as well as all the other bakery items. read more

My mushroom pizza was delicious. I absolutely love the crust. It was nice and fluffy and soft. I really love the tomato sauce on my pizza and just the right amount of cheese . I'm glad it was close to where I'm staying. The lady on the phone said that it would take 20 minutes and they were right. The service was accurate and the food was delicious. We picked it up and ate it at home. Inside the café looked tidy, and they sold some cute shirts read more

Stopped here after a disaster in Ohiopyle and on the way home. We called ahead so the food was ready and upon entry it was fresh out of the oven. Small place, I can see where they probably do mainly delivery or takeout business, some mismatched chairs in the dining area that only had about 4 tables. We ordered a chicken bacon ranch and a regular pepperoni pizza, both on the smaller side with the pepperoni a personal size. One tip is the personal size was all crust on ours, so if you're between the personal 10" or the next size 14", go with the bigger size bc it has less crust and more pizza. The pepperoni was good - large slice pepperoni on top and a good char to the pizza. I liked it - the sauce was very margherita - a light chunky sauce. The chicken bacon ranch was your standard pizza you'd get at a lot of places - had a good amount of toppings on it and was properly dressed. The main issue was the dining room was about 80°, and there wasn't much by way of drinks. I would say this is more like a 3/5 if you're dining in, so do takeout and let the pizza do the talking. read more

Stopped here on our way by based on reviews. It lived up to its reviews. The pies are delicious and the service was friendly and fast.

Good pizza close by. Easy parking. Easy phone ordering. Looks clean and well kept. Only tried the pizza but they have more on the menu.

We get their pies almost every weekend. They are the same family that owns ohiopyle bakery which we also love. Everything at this place is good but the pies are amazing. read more

Solid pizza at a fair price. Fruit pies were also good ! Would definitely return if I were in the area!

The people were very nice and the food was great! The place is small and "cozy". A few tables outside in front as well. The parking lot is small so might get a little difficult if it is busy but I enjoyed my experience there. read more

Found this place on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. Little place on the side of the road with a small dining room in the back. The people at the front counter were supporters nice and very helpful, as we were looking for a pie. The pizza was a thin crust, but was cooked just right. The sauce to topping ratio was perfect, enough to make the pizza drop if you didn't fold it. We got the meat pizza and chicken bacon ranch. Would definitely go back! read more

Mountain Pies - Chicken bacon ranch and meat 1 slice each of personal size. - Pizza Near Me - Markleysburg, Pennsylvania

Jersey style pizza. Always trying to find good pizza and this place killed it. We had the BBQ, Buffalo and plain and they all are a hit. The personal size was spot on and perfect sauce to cheese ratio. They also have apple and coconuts pies. Also amazing read more

This pizza was amazing. Came out piping hot with just the right balance of flavorful sauce, cheese and mushrooms. The crust? Perfect. It was tender and crispy at the same time. Bonus, the restaurant is peanut and treenut free - if you need that. We did not try the array of homemade pies, but if they are anything like the pizza I'd suspect they are amazing too. We were just passing thru on National road. Service was fast and easy. Make this your lunch spot ! read more

Awesome pizza! We got the specialty meat lovers xtra large. The pepperoni was huge and all the other meat was great as well.

I have always wanted to stop here on Route 40, on way from DC to Columbus, in the beautiful Laurel Highlands. Looked inviting and I thought they might have good pies and this was confirmed. They are made by their other family operation Ohiopyle Bakery. Unique interesting place with friendly service. She made a great recommendation: Caramel Apple pie. One of the best ever. All their pies are appealing with artistic crusts. My pie crust was perfect in texture and had wonderful flavor. Apples not overcooked, the right size slices, and caramel flavor great without being too sweet. Need to go back to DC soon so I can get another and also try their pizza pie. Fall foliage starting to look good in that area now. read more

Polite employees, fast service, and top notch pizza! From out of town, so I'm super happy this is the place I chose. My wife said it was the best pizza she's ever had whilst inebriated read more

I am obsessed with their banana & coconut crème pies! They also usually have fruit pies & Oreo crème too. While working during the summer, we were super grateful for their pizza delivery service. They're the only pizza delivery service on this mountain now. We used to only have Pizza Hut growing up here... but I am much more appreciative for the non-chain/family owned taste & vibe! Keep up the good work, guys... you rock! read more

My daughter has been having an event near here nightly for the past few months and I've been wanting to try. The parking lot always looked empty so I didn't until tonight; boy I'm glad I did! It is carry out as of right now or may always be, which may be why parking lot looks empty. I walked in and was greeted and told can't eat in and here's a menu. I almost didn't order as I wanted a place to hang while my daughter was at her event, but the smell and vibe in the place was just right. I just got simple supreme because I didn't think that could be messed up. It was amazing!!! Was ready in 15 minutes and the place was getting lots of calls when I was inside. They seem to be busy! Fresh, fresh, fresh! Amazing sauce , ingredients, crust! Much better than many places where I live (30 mins away). Will definitely be back! read more

Average pizza, thin airy crust with little flavor, very little sauce, cheese tastes like the pre-shredded stuff from a grocery store. I got extra cheese and glad because it was so light that the regular pizza must not have much at all. But there isn't much competition around there so take what you can get. read more

We're looking for a place to eat with my brother, a raft guide in training at Ohiopyle, but almost everything there closed before 6. My brother is picky about pizza but we just settled for what was open. Turns out the pizza is incredible. It's less than 20 minutes from Ohiopyle, so it'll be convenient all summer. read more

We had mushroom and sweet pepper 14 inch pizza. Delicious! The crust is rolled very thin, which I liked. The pizza sauce was a bit sweet and zippy, unique. It reminded me of NYC style pizza. We really enjoyed it read more

delous. very good, love it. very good pizza. 10/10 recommend. get a large pizza. pizza slices are huge!

Really great pizza. Thin crust. Was surprised how good it was! Had multiple times with multiple toppings. I recommend!

I honestly understand why people rate restaurants around here so highly. There is nothing good in this area and there's not much to pick from. So let's get into this, the pizza is trash it is so soggy and all the toppings just fall off. I've never had pizza so bad read more

Great little shop on the side of a main road. Chicken bacon ranch sandwich was amazing and the pizza was equally as good. So glad we stopped here. read more

My absolute favorite pizza!! I only order from Mountain Pies! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!

It was ok. I know they serve Brooklyn style pizza. There was very little sauce on the pizza. So I haven't tried it since. Not saying I wouldn't. read more

So surprised and happy that they delivered to the bowling alley at Nemacolin. This pizza was amazing. New York style, thin crust, with the perfect amount of cheese and seasoning, topped off with huge pieces of pepperoni. Can't wait to try more. What a great find!!! read more

I'm really surprised by the 5 star ratings. They've seriously raised their prices and to be perfectly honest, we don't find the food all that great. Prices went up, overall meal size went down. We get a better pizza for less from the gas station across the street. That should embarrass Mountain Pies. One other thing... you get a sub sandwich or hoagie and there is only one choice for your bread... wheat! Seriously! They make you eat wheat. I don't know if it's their idea to force their particular healthy diet ideas upon the masses but there are those of us that can't eat wheat bread or rye due to health issues. At least Subway offers great choices for far less. read more

Stopped in for the first time this weekend and so glad we did!! Just got a 14" plain pie and it was awesome! It's crust is thin in the center, bubbly around the edges, delicious sauce and cheese. To our surprise, they also had an excellent selection of desserts and we got a half of an Oreo cream pie that was soooo good. Excellent service, good prices on both items. Can't wait to stop back again. read more

Delicious pizza! Stayed near by and ordered carryout pizza and wedges - both were very good. Customer service is great also!

Great pizzas and desserts!! Anything with the pizzas dough they make is awesome!! They deliver as well so perfect for days like today!!

Thin to win. after been here a few times I learned the next day pie heated in a 500 degree oven results in an extra crispy crust that I dare say is better than coming right out of their oven. Sorry for anyone offended by this message read more

Average pizza. Crust was pretty good. Pineapple and bacon pizza had no flavor. Supreme pizza had more flavor but not great. Salad was hilarious! I opened the container to see a pile of shredded cheese. I turned the container to find a pile of chopped lettuce. Nothing else. Packaged dressing was Marzetti so that was good enough but I didn't bother with the salad. I had enough cheese on the pizza. Surprised anyone would give this 5 stars. The bakery items looked delicious read more

Excellent and affordable pizza that you can take out or eat in. Crust is just right -- not too thick, not too thin, and really nice and chewy. Toppings are excellent, service was great. read more

This is by far the best little gem around Nemacolin. Every year we come to the resort and this is the one place we truly look forward to going to each time. The pizza is delicious and the Super Nintendo console in the back room is the best little surprise while waiting for your pie. Make sure to also try the homemade pies. Best strawberry rhubarb I have ever had. 5 stars for sure! read more
