Southwest Salad with Egg+Blackened Chicken

Having been a long standing customer with the business I feel this review is long over due, however there is no better time than the present so let's start with giving a huge thumbs up to the hospitality of all of the staff at HGP. Always so friendly and helpful to any questions regarding the menu or their specials. Secondly, their new location is quite the spectacle and is a must visit, today we dined in and loved the atmosphere. Finally the food: whether you're looking for pizza, sandwhiches, salads or some of the best deserts in Morgantown HGP has a lot to offer.

Crab Rangoon Pizza

Oh my!! The Crab Rangoon pizza is better than most Crab Rangoon I've had from Chinese restaurants. We sampled SO much, and had so much to take home. This is a local business. The takeout traffic was robust and there is limited seating. If you're looking for a bar with good pizza, this isn't it. This is GREAT pizza, salads, appetizers and desserts. Couple that with some of the friendliest strangers I've ever encountered- who are taking the orders, serving the pizza, and even grabbing the door to help get the giant box through the doorway. We'll be back.

The cutest fall decor!

Wow, this was our first time at Home Grown and it did not disappoint. The staff were all extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. We started off with mac & cheese bites and old bay potato chips, both delicious. The caesar salad was so fresh and the garlic knot that comes with it was to die for. We got a large pizza, half Caprese/half prosciutto brussels sprouts. I was obsessed with the prosciutto Brussel sprouts one, if you get the caprese pie I would suggest getting it well done because it was falling apart and a little hard to eat without silverware. Still, amazing flavors. We ended the night with Peanut Butter Cheesecake and Banana Pudding Cheesecake, these were great alone but better combined! This is the cutest little restaurant with the best fall decor! There are 5 tables in total here, so it might be hard to get a table during weekend busier hours. Overall, amazing experience. I will for sure be back for more! Try this place out!

Small, cozy venue with extraordinarily good pizza offerings, including vegetarian options. We tried the Greek in the creek. Excellently prepared with feta, olives, artichoke. Tanya gave us co-owner caliber service even though she isn't -- yet. Would be a regular customer if we were local.

So many yummy pizza combinations! My personal favorite is the Caprese pizza! Love the option for a 16" with 2 specialty pizzas!

Amazing food. Best pizza in the area by far. Save room for dessert or be sure to get some to go. Great service too!

It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

I did a quick search looking for the best wings in town, and this restaurant was within a decent distance from my location, so I decided to drop by. I ordered for pickup, so I couldn't give much insight on the overall vibe of the restaurant. It's very much a sports bar and there was some light music playing. As I walked in, I was quickly greeted by the bar back and the young lady assisted with my takeout order. Others at the bar appear to have been enjoying their time and drink. Now to the wings, I ordered buffalo wings with a side of Thai sauce. The wings were heavily breaded and could've used more seasoning. The Thai sauce might've been better tossed with the wings. I also ordered a side of fries. The fries were actually really good. Overall, this wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't leave a lasting impression or exceed my expectations.
