It is actually impressive their ability to have dry meat and soggy starches. There is also an over all lack of flavor.

This isn't the case at Apteka, where everything is homemade and plant based. Despite the love and care that is put into each dish, the prices remain low (your entire meal will be less than the cost of a single steak at a traditional restaurant). The ambiance is a bit chaotic, so I recommend outdoor seating if possible. They don't take reservations, so you will have to wait unless you show up well in advance of opening. All of this is worth it! Everything is good here, but the ice cream we had on our last visit was exceptional. I was so full, but I would have eaten a second scoop. If ice cream is on the menu, get it. They use a dense cashew cream, which is imo the best base for vegan ice cream. I wish they would open up in DC, but this is the type of place that can only exist somewhere like Pittsburgh. If you are in the area, run there!

Excellent Polish food on the limited menuand an excellent matching wine list, thoroughly modern. It feels sleek and casual, with a professional and knowledgeable crew. Seating is chaotic since there aren't any reservations and you sit wherever there is space. I had fried pierogis and a cold beet soup. Packed with flavor and excellent on a warm summer night. The wine went so well with the food; I think it was all Eastern European wines, since what grows together goes together.

Other beverages such as juices and coffees are also available. In addition, customers may make a reservation for afternoon tea, which for adults includes a choice of a pot of tea as well as a three-tier stand of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. The foods and price vary for children aged 12 and under. The bistro's menu lists foods such as quiche, avocado toast, fruit bowls, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, flatbreads, wraps, paninis, salads, quesadillas, smoothies, and milkshakes. A freezer contains about a dozen flavors of gelatos. Furthermore, shelves feature merchandise such as bags of teas, teapots, mugs, t-shirts, earrings, etcetera. My husband and I ate one breakfast here. An employee immediately and kindly greeted us. We placed our order at the cash register and then sat at a table of our choosing. Some tables were already reserved for the afternoon tea. I ate Baked French Toast (5 stars), which consisted of a brioche with custard, cinnamon, sugar, strawberry sauce, peaches, blueberries, raspberries, and banana slices. I drank a Masala Chai Tea (4.5 stars). My husband ate the Loaded Breakfast Panini Wrap (3.5 stars), which contained scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheeses, avocado, sour cream, and salsa. The ingredients were separate, which he said looked pretty but tasted just OK. He used his utensil to try to mix the ingredients. He ate only half of it. He drank a Gelato Iced Chocolate (4.5 stars), a chilled hot chocolate with vanilla gelato and whipping cream on top. I also purchased a Dubai chocolate bar (4.5 stars) for about $20. It was not my all-time favorite Dubai chocolate, but it was a large size, and it tasted very good for being made in Pittsburgh. Note that private events such as birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and bachelorette parties may also be held at The Steeping Leaf. Catering is also available.

You'll feel relaxed before you even grab that cup to drink. You could spend a long time reading the tea menu. Coffee is a little bit frowned upon here. Was admittedly unaware of this restaurant, and I'm feeling incredibly guilty for it.... Overall an…read moreexcellent experience - every single dish we had was amazing, top to bottom. Service was also very friendly and personable. We ate in the back courtyard, it was hot, but we were so preoccupied by how good the food was, it wasn't a problem. I'd like to try sitting inside the restaurant, but when it's a bit cooler. One critique I'd offer is that two of us ordered the "pot pie" dish, which tasted great but the temperature was too high - we had to wait 15-20 minutes for any small amount of heat reduction. Perhaps that's something to look into, but the dish was still excellent. Note that it's cash and/or Venmo only, so be prepared before visiting.

If a restaurant requires automatic gratuity, that needs to be clearly stated ahead of time and shown on the bill. Tips should not be demanded after the fact through pressure or intimidation, especially with younger customers who may not fully understand the restaurant's cash/card policies. This should have been handled with professionalism, not embarrassment or intimidation. they didn't know it was cash or or cash app or venmo and these kids panicked to make sure that they could pay and came up with it and my question is why can't they take tap on venmo i'm a small business owner and I can use tap to pay with Venmo. You didn't need to embarrass them and make them have a horrible experience. I would've came myself later on as a parent feeling bad about what the experience was and made sure that that waitress got a huge tip now me and my family will never come there. And I will never encourage anybody to go there. You embarrassed a bunch of kids I hope you're proud of yourself. these kids came specifically here because they went to France with their high school and wanted to experience the vibe that Cafe Du Jour had to offer and felt mortified, which is an understatement.

Becky was our server tonight and she was perfect even to the way she brought the specials to our attention. They were described in a slow, perfectly modulated voice so all could hear. Very well done. The standout of the evening was the compressed watermelon salad. Every bite was incredibly fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. I could happily eat this every day for the rest of my life. For entrées, we shared the veal saltimbocca, which was fork-tender with a beautifully rich sauce, and a light zucchini, corn, and shrimp pasta that tasted like summer on a plate. Fresh vegetables, sweet corn, and a delicate sauce let every ingredient shine without feeling heavy. Excellent service!!! We'll definitely be back.

I've said that in many reviews (get your pastries warmed up if it's an option, especially if they're bread-based), but it's especially true here. A warm honeycomb bread is essential. Durar is located in downtown Morgantown, and it's the only Yemeni coffee shop in the area. They offer a number of other desserts, including a variety of cheesecake in unusual flavors, like pistachio, kunafa and lotus. They also have croissants, bagels, milk cakes and danishes. Of course, Durar has coffee. They serve Yemeni coffee, which has spices like cardamom and clove in it. if you're dining in, you can get it presented to you nicely on a tray, with real cups and a carafe. They also have espressos, lattes, iced coffee and hot chocolate. It took quite a while to get my honeycomb bread, but they were super busy, which I liked to see, so it didn't bother me. The honeycomb bread was worth the wait, for sure.
