Both sandwiches were great and BIG!

The lady working was so fun to chat with. We talked about our travels and she gave us some fun recommendations on places in the area to visit. The food was really good too!

Dirty bird was highly recommended to me by an old professor and when I finally had a chance to try it, it did not disappoint! The food was amazing - I got the Dirty Bird. Highly satisfied.

Dirty Bird is a hidden treasure in Morgantown. Monster chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, and more. All fried to order so call ahead or be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes. I haven't tried all the chicken sandwiches yet but I'm well on my way. Awesome owner operators, just good people.

I stopped by dirty bird for a quick lunch and was more than pleasantly surprised by this quaint restaurant on High St. the ambiance is friendly and calm. The service is exceptional with very friendly staff that treat you with the upmost respect and kindness. Besides all that, the food is what will have me coming back time and time again. I ordered the slider plate that comes with fries. This was a filling and delicious meal. The chicken is juicy and flavorful! If you live fried chicken I definitely recommend paying this place a visit soon! - they also have refillable drinks - Apple Pay is available

Cute little diner with funny and charming staff. Food was delectable. They really give you your mo moneys worth- no one was able to finish their sandwich. We got a bacon, egg, n cheese, turkey treason, and vera cruz.

I drove well into WV for a doctors appointment from out-of-state, and figured I'd make a day of it. Part of that was to find something unique and incredible to eat not available anywhere else. It took days of endless searching, but I finally came across this place; I knew immediately it was a must to try! I was pleased to find a public parking lot just a little ways from the establishment, which is a huge deal to me. I am not a fan of places that are inaccessible by vehicle, which is probably 90% of food places in my city, so it was a huge deal to me! I knew I had to try their signature, The dirty bird (fried chicken, bacon, cheese, fried egg, and gravy between a biscuit. Quite honestly, it may have been the best thing I have ever had, or at least a top five. Wow! That's all there is to it. Finally, I just loved the service! I felt like I was deeper south with the hospitality. Fantastic food and wonderful people. Forget trying anything else each appointment; I must return here! In fact, I might make the drive one day just for it; it's that good!!!

Mom and pop shop of the year, every year. This place is family owned and ran. Phenomenal chicken. I mean, fried to perfection, juicy, flavorful. Absolute gem. I finally understood what the town of morgantown says "dirty bird is the best" or "man, it's THE spot". After all the hype, it did live up to it. Order anything. The dirty bird is they're go to though. But everything is good down to the fries. Only thing is they close when they run out of chicken. But, try this place. You won't regret it.

Need I say more? Can a sandwich taste better than it looks? This is the hot version of the dirty bird w slaw and pickles. This sandwich will wreck the curve when compared to other sandwiches. Bread, slaw and dressing were amazing but the chicken was the best part!

I was super happy to see this coffee shop…read morewhile walking around downtown Morgantown, because I really needed a boost, and this place had what I was desperately in need of: caffeine! It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

We visited Nonno Carlo tonight (4/24) with a group of six, and WOW - what an absolute gem!…read more Every single thing we ordered was incredible. The two wood-fired pizzas were perfection - crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also shared the meatball hoagie, meatballs with ricotta, antipasto salad, caprese salad, cucumber-tomato salad, Italian chicken salad sandwich, and the Italiano... and then there was the porchetta sandwich - hands down my new favorite sandwich in the universe. I'm still thinking about it. As if that wasn't enough, we finished with imported gelato (strawberry and caramel), and it was the perfect sweet ending. Beyond the amazing food, the two young ladies working the front were so kind, welcoming, and helpful - it really made the whole experience even better. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this amazing little market & café. We will 100% be back!

The group was mostly Italian-Americans, and Italian food is their "go-to" comfort food, especially during such a stressful period. Nonno Carlo, while a bit on the pricey side, did not disappoint with its high quality, abundant, and authentic Italian food. We also appreciated that its location was only about a 5-minute drive from the hospital. Food. (4.5/5). We ordered and shared: (1) The Ellis Island ($15.25), which is described by the restaurant as an Italian American classic sub that is a "sandwich so big you got to take a boat to get there!)" It features herbed aioli, provolone cheese, hot ham, pepperoni, vinegar peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic, piled high on a Mancini's hoagie roll. It was served with potato chips. (2) an Italiano sub ($15.50), which features mortadella, salami, soppressata, capocollo, provolone, and Calabrian pepper spread, served on focaccia. (3) an appetizer, Meatballs and Ricotta ($8.95). This was a favorite, with three DeMedici meatballs served over house-made ricotta. It was served with homemade bread, which was perfect for dipping. (4) Caprese Salad ($3) -- cherry tomatoes, house-made mozzarella, and basil, finished with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. (5) Cucumber-Tomato Salad ($2), with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and basil, finished with extra virgin olive oil and vinegar. (6) Dessert: 2 for $7 cannoli. (You could also order a single cannoli for $4). My rating is 4-stars rather than 5-stars for two small reasons -- (1) the subs were somewhat soggy by the time they reached us, from the vinegar/spreads on them, and (2) both salads were sour given the ratio of vinegar to olive oil in the dressings. I can't speak to ambiance or service, as this was take-out and someone else picked it up. I would eat in or order from here again.
