Flavors of pierogies include potato, potato cheese, potato bacon, potato sauerkraut, sauerkraut, lekvar prune, potato cheese jalapeno, cottage cheese, spinach ricotta, spinach feta, roast beef, sausage, cheese pepperoni, buffalo chicken, and some seasonal flavors. Other foods include stuffed cabbage, stuffed pepper, kielbasa, haluski, goulash, borsch, mashed potatoes, green beans, some desserts, etcetera. Many of the foods are available as either hot/ready-to-eat for dine-in or cold/frozen for takeout. For over a decade, I have bought foods from their location in Wexford, and I recently tried this location in Moon Township for the first time. Two employees spoke little English, but they promptly and politely served me. The interior of the restaurant has no seating, and the outside has one small table with two chairs, so this restaurant is mostly takeout. I rate the potato-cheese pierogies and the kielbasa as 5 stars. I rate the haluski, stuffed pepper, and stuffed cabbage as 4 stars. read more

I passed this place on the way to pick up some things for my hotel room. I love pirogies! This is a small take out place with lots of options! The two women working were very friendly. I had pierogis with potato, kraut, and jalapeño, kielbasa with kraut, and stuffed cabbage and haluski. . I had leftovers for the next day! Everything was made fresh to order. I was in heaven! Saw this place driving by while I was in the area and made it a point to stop back as soon as I was done with what I came out to Moon for. Tiny little takeout service counter with both hot and frozen foods to take home. No dining/seating. Service was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 3 dozen pierogis. Potato & cheese, potato jalapeño & cheese, and hot sausage. Had the potato and cheese the next night and they cooked up beautifully. Not even one broke open while boiling. Thinner noodle and a super velvety potato filling. Wonderful flavor. I will order more soon! read more

Best pierogis in town. My personal favorites apart from Potato and cheese are the Cabbage and Beef Roast. Each pierogis are packed with flavors and i didn't need to add extra sauce. Came here for lunch on a Tuesday and there's was a steady flow of people ordering for lunch and in bulk for the holidays. I got the #1, which is potatoes and cheese pierogi's with stuffed cabbage and green beans. Wish I would have gotten the sour cream on the side. The pierogi's were so tender and had some butter and chopped onions on top. The stuffed cabbage was good with meat and rice inside and a tomato sauce. The green beans were nice and crispy, but no seasoning on those. It was a good serving to fill me up for lunch for a good price. It came out to just $12.29. read more

3 words: buffalo chicken pierogies!!! I know it's not the most traditional flavor but these were amazing. The second best were the sweet potato pierogies. The traditional flavors like cheese and potatoes were delicious as well. They only do boiled pierogies and have a variety of their dishes like kielbasa or hot sausage goulash. The goulash was yummy but way too large for a single person. It was spread on top of a layer of haluski (cabbage and noodles) which was very filling. Great small pierogi shop! I ordered the potato and cheese along with the buffalo chicken both with butter and onions. I wish i would of gotten more frozen! The potato and cheese are like a piece of heaven so airy and delicious. I kind of wish i would've at least ordered a dozen of those hot haha because i'm still thinking about them. I tried to call ahead to avoid waiting inside but the phone lines were busy, should tell you how delicious they are! There is standing room for maybe 5 people tops so i definitely suggest ordering ahead or waiting outside. Overall, if you can...stop by and get yourself some Pierogies!!!! Great place for pierogies. Take out only. You can get a hot meal or frozen by the half dozen or dozen. Friendly staff and menu includes soup, deserts, stuffed cabbage. So, this was my first time ever trying Perogies (traditional ones that is) and I have to say, they were OUTSTANDING here!!! They have some interesting flavors on their menu and they will prepare them for you very quickly or sell them to you frozen to take home and make on your own. I opted for eating them there (which means sitting at a café table outside, since they don't have any tables and seating inside), so they heated them up and poured butter over the top and added onions to them, all of which really enhanced and already amazing flavor! We were flying into PIT and driving to Cleveland. I was trying to find a highly rated pierogi place on the way that would be fast. Boy is this a hole in the wall - No indoor seating. We ordered a plate with pierogis, suffer cabbage and the pasta with the cabbage and the onions. And in order to try another floor of pierogi (since all the platters only come with potato) we ordered another plate with just Kielbasa (YUM!) and jalepeno, potato & cheese pierogi. Kielbasa was great. Tasted like a truly smoked meat. Stuffed cabbage was also good. The red sauce was slightly sweet and I loved it! Green beans were green beans. Ehhh. The pierogis were what I came for and I was disappointed. There wasn't any real cheese inside. Instead it seemed like they just used cheese flavored mashed potato mix. BOOOOO! We were trying to find a Mediterranean place but couldn"t and oh not am I very happy!! I have always been a big perogie fan. This is a hole in the wall with no inside seating but we sat at the single sidewalk table. The girls had meatballs & pierogies, I had sauerkraut with kielbasa & cheese & potato pierogies. Everything was edible except for the sauerkraut which tasted a little weird and didn't agree with me at all. I love sauerkraut and my mother made it fresh in big batches every year but this was not my Mom's kraut. I think the cheddar cheese in my perogies was pretty bland and could have been cooked a lot better. Overall the food was a disappointment and was nowhere in the ballpark with the Ukraine place that I loved in MA or the Polish dive in VA that I used to frequent. read more

I would give a 5+ for this perogie place. They have a wide variety to select from - vegetarian, cheeses, jalapeños, spinach- the list goes on. Have tried a few and each of them was outstanding and delicious and so flavorful. If you are looking for perogies, just stop looking. This IS THE place! We stayed in down town Pittsburgh...what a great city. We wanted to visit another higher ranked Pierogi place closer to the city. When we got there it wasn't a "plus." The parking was limited and the inventory was as well. We left. I found this place with a sit down location...and plenty of parking. The ladies inside were so accommodating and nice.
