We went today for lunch for the first time. We wanted to watch the Texas vs OU game so it was a perfect place with lots of TVs all around us. Starting with the hostess to wait staff to managers, everyone was super friendly, kind and attentive. Before we left, one of the floor managers came by and brought us some souvenirs for being there for the first time. A new place for us. Apparently it's run by the same people that do Texas Roadhouse. We went in for lunch in the middle of the week. I had the calzone. It was very good. Just the right amount of crust. My wife ordered the chicken nachos from the appetizer menu. We we're not as pleased with those. There was some sort of spice on the chips that had an odd flavor for us. The individual ingredients were good, but whatever that sprinkled on flavoring was did not go well with everything else. My 5 year old daughter got the kids hot dog. She enjoyed it and was happy (the most important part when dining with young kids). They also had blue lemonade, which she loved as well. The lemonade tasted like regular soda spigot lemonade, but the blueness "elevated" the experience for her. It's listed next to the kids food in the menu. That's a nice touch to keep little ones happy while parents get a meal. The service was outstanding. Best we've had in a chain restaurant in a very long time and a big part of why we're going with 4 stars. We also liked the menu variety. It's hard to find burgers and pizza in the same place around here, and that makes everyone in our group happy. I ordered the chicken tender dinner for take out, and the only thing good were the mashed potatoes I got for my side. The tenders had a weird texture, breading came off easily since the chicken had too much moisture, and the tater tots had little to no seasoning. Gave this place a 2 star because the service was very nice. The take-out specialist was very friendly, and when a manager saw me sitting alone he made sure I was already helped. Our visit to Bubbas was on a Friday evening, it was busy but we got right in and got a seat with call ahead seating. There were plenty of servers so our drinks and food were delivered timely and fresh. I love the menu at Bubbas because there are plenty of options for food and drinks. I really like the wings and on this visit I ordered onion rings as a side, with bubba sauce, yum! In addition I tried a mango margarita on the rocks that was very well made and quite refreshing. Go to Bubba's hungry!! They have a really great menu. Bones points because they love Veterans! The entree salads are wonderful, a real meal, and my favorite is the Italian Chopped Salad with lemon basil vinaigrette. Their burgers are thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly to order. Went there first time for bday. Waited 30 min on a Friday which was not bad for the day. Ordered the special steak, mash and salad. Hubby ordered fish and chips. Son ordered burger. Burger nothing special. I think it's blah... same as fish and chips but the tartar sauce was freaking awesome. It made the fish really good. My steak marinated in Starbucks coffee was sweet and cooked perfectly (med rare). It's ok. The mash was so salty just imagine if I have the gravy in it (always have gravy on side). Salad was great and ranch was ok. Still prefer wing stop ranch. Hubby said it's an over priced Dennys, I agree. I always asked myself when I go to a restaurant if I would go back here, I would said NO. There are more restaurant around worth checking out. Great place friendly staff and lots of unique food choices. We talked with them for a while, and they said everything was made in-house, so even things like the appetizer cheese sticks were surprisingly fantastic. They have 2 cheese dips, one that's almost like a 7-layer dip that we loved. Firecracker shrimp Po boy was excellent. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza that we assumed would be... Well like any other Hawaiian pizza. But surprisingly even it was just better than we expected, It was just excellent, Lots of good toppings, cooked well. Not counting the kids food, Because it looked straightforward and simple like kids often demand demand, but out of every normal item on their menu, nothing missed the mark. We love this place. Also I often eat Keto, And they are working on a cauliflower crust for the pizza, So it isn't some thing they offer just yet. Cant wait for their new location in Fort Worth to open! read more

We've been driving past the location off of 1604 and Culebra near our home for weeks now and finally stopped in yesterday for an early dinner. Seeing it had other locations made me worry that it would have chain quality food and it would not be anything amazing - Man, was I wrong! It's fun inside with a great atmosphere - music videos, sports and funny stuff on all the TV's. It was also very clean. The waitstaff was very friendly and efficient. The food: -I ordered a 12" Buffalo Chicken pizza. I have to say, that's the best pizza I have had in a very long time. Just enough heat with a hint of sweetness and the chicken on top was seasoned perfectly and very tender. The crust was crispy and delicious and had a great flavor. This is the first pizza I have gotten near me that I actually enjoyed enough to take home and eat every single slice. None of this is going in the trash. -My husband and 7 year old son got the burgers, which I tasted. The patties had a great flavor and were very tender and juicy without being a soggy greasy mess. The fries were not the best thing ever, but were not bad at all and they were crispy. -We got Chips and Salsa for an appetizer and I quite enjoyed both. Salsa was good and not too spicy, and the chips were crispy and sprinkled with a seasoning salt that was actually pretty good. Will try the Queso next time. The prices here were so reasonable. They have a pizza special on Tuesdays where the 12" pizzas are $10.99 I think. Our bill with appetizer, drinks, and entrees for 3 was only about $40 with military discount. The beer: Nice and COLD! Our food took a little while to come to the table, but nothing too ridiculous - we were enjoying ourselves so much that we did not feel impatient or that we were there too long. It came out hot and fresh and we came at an odd time before normal dinner hours so that's understandable. We will definitely be coming back and I am interested to try the other menu items. I was eyeing the wings, lasagna and steak, but decided to play it safe and order what the restaurant advertises which is Burgers, Beer and Pizza. I would also like to try dessert next time. Good restaurant on 1604 near culebra. Food was good. Ordered the sunshine burger, fried pickles, boneless wings, and meaty meaty pizza. Everything was great. The pizza came with ground sausage not balls, and chunks of bacon not bits. It was a little too strong on flavor. Next time I'm just gonna do the pepperoni and mushroom. We got chips and chorizo queso. It was ok. The chips tasted like fryer oil and the queso needs a little more flavor. I got the blackened bleu burger. It was very flavorful except it was way too pink for me. My seasoned fries were very cold and soggy. My husband got the spicy habanero burger. His fries were soggy and cold as well.
