To start, upon walking in, I would have left if it wasn't an invite from another person. The smells and the sights were sub level. Smelled old, looked run down, opened in 1954 and let me tell you I believe it! Seems like it started as a house and they just kept adding rooms all of which are now dining rooms . The parking lot is bumpy. The entrance area has a few machine games Expected cheaper prices but they do have several all you can eat dishes Not impressed with the food and although I read the article on the wall that Bob started to be known by his enchiladas... they had to be the worse I've ever had. Rice was hard and cold, corn was from a can, fish was just ok, not much taste to anything. Service was good and they were all efficient though busy However I wouldn't return When you sit and wonder if the health dept has been here .... Not a good sign. Definitely do not take a date here, on the flip side the date would be memorable.

Excellent choice today for dinner with my parents. We have been coming here for years. The largest country fried steak has always been a favorite of ours! Always have left overs to take home. :-) excellent service!

This place is good and very consistent! I've heard of this place for years but always chose to stay away due to poor reviews. Until one day I decided to give it a shot. I wish I had chosen to try it out a long time ago. I only order one thing and it is the massive Chicken Fried chicken they have. The thing is the size of the plate! Me and my partner drive 20 mins just for it! It's always hot, never dry and did i mention? huge! Now the sides are truly nothing to write home about. I do wish they would put more thought into them though. The mashed potato's are clearly from a box. The green beans lack any flavor and also from a can. The bread that accompanies the plate is super dry and could use a brushing of butter. Service is always great and all of the wait staff seem to truly enjoy their job. Do keep in mind this place isn't the nicest. Decor is outdated and I feel like they're going for an oldtimey vibe. They have old music players at some of the tables which really add to the vibe. Place is a bit boxy and could use a different floor plan. In conclusion the chicken fried chicken is great and customer service is also great! A quick disclaimer the 4 stars can be attributed to their consistency and customer service.

Old fashion jukebox in the middle of the table. High extended walls just in case of a food fight?

After many years gone by not visiting Bud Jones because of poor service. I decided to stop and reminisce of my high school years eating there at Bud Jones on the weekends. The service was awesome thanks to Rick. I ordered the fish plate. Alaskan pollock Was light battered and was super delicious. I enjoyed the coleslaw, which was fresh and very tasteful. The booths still have a jukebox unfortunately not In service. The restaurant is looks the same from the 1970's.Fish Plate

I like the food at Bud Jones, especially the Turkey with dressing plate they have usually on Sundays. All their food is delicious.

The texture of fish is crunchy on the outside with a flaky, meaty texture on the inside . The wings are fried in a way that's just right. They are crunchy and the sauce adheres so well without making them soggy. The green beans, red beans, and wedges are great options for sides to accompany the fish and wings. It was my first time ordering from a place with this type of setup. It was so cool! I scanned my order on an iPad and open pops a locker door with my food. When I came up to the place it wasn't a sit down place to eat, but that you have to order which was confusing as there were a lot of other restaurants within the small space. There was a guy there that was picking up wing and he stated that they were the best and big pieces. So he showed me how to order. And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait. It best to order online then go pick up. The restroom were locked so that is why I gave 4 and we weren't able to speak with no one. If you need any special thing or extras please write it I. The space provided because they don't give you anything but what you order no napkin just nothing else. Enjoy and hope the you didn't forget to order anything special or extra as you won't get it.

They are on top of things and if one of them is tied up, any of the others will willingly take care of the customer. The food: Everything we've tried has been outstanding. We normally start off with the guacamole and fish chicharron. You are served a large portion of guac (sometimes hard to finish) and the chicharron (fried fish strips) that sometimes make a full meal. Any of the entrees we've tried have all been great. I am not one for octopus (too rubbery) but my wife ordered a whole one and had me try it. It was actually soft and easy to chew. Not that I would ever order it, but if you like octopus, I believe you'll like it. Their pasta dishes are awesome and you can even ask to remove any seafood you don't like from the dish (such as octopus!) My wife likes the Mojarra a la Diabla which is whole tilapia in a red sauce. I've tried it, it's good, but I just can't eat something that's staring back at me. Try this place. It's small and sometimes parking is hard to find but well worth it.

The menu is exciting and the concept is definitely there--but unfortunately, my dining experience didn't quite live up to it. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which had a nice texture but lacked flavor and seasoning. The dirty rice was also underwhelming, with very little depth or seasoning, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. Service was also a bit inconsistent. During dinner, I found myself having to get up to grab my own salt and pepper, as well as my own place setting, which took away from the experience. That said, I did have a much better interaction the day before when my wife and I stopped by for a glass of champagne at the bar--the bartender was lovely and welcoming. On a positive note, the location is beautiful--right along the River Walk, which makes for a great ambiance and setting. I'd consider giving it another try, but hoping for more consistency in both food and service next time.

R&R is part of a hotel and since the weather was really nice, we decide to sit on the outdoor patio facing the river walk. They have a happy hour menu that runs from 3-6 pm and includes beer, wine and liquor specials and 8 small plate food options. I start off with a margarita on the rocks. When it comes out, the drink is good but could've used a bit more lime in the mix but not bad. For food, I go with the fried shrimp and catfish nuggets. When they come out, the plates are larger than expected and both come with fries. This could easily be shared with two or three people. Everything was friend to perfection, crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The plates were wiped clean. I ordered a house pinot noir and it was a good. I didn't catch the brand name but would order it again. Overall, this was a great first experience at Roam & Range and will look forward to coming back to try more of the menu. Due to it's location, parking can be tricky so prep ahead.

They have a senior special but it's limited. -- You can sit outside in a nice patio covered with turf, may once have been a playground. Or sit inside, there are several dining rooms. -- You order, they give you a number pager that you put on your table, when ready, they bring it all to you along with napkins and silverware. No plastic here, so glad. There is self serve for drinks, take out containers, sauces. Prices very reasonable and you get $10 off in next visit if you join their club. Only 2 negatives: First, We were both FREEZING, walked around trying to find a warmer place. So bring a sweater. Second, wish their menu was clear about sides and what you get when you order like I got Salmon, which did not specify Teriyaki glazed, good thing we saw it online and had to ask. And it came with 2 sides, I did not know rice was one, so I ordered another rice! Easy find off Military near the mall. Free large lot , def returning with or without the discount!
