We went past this restaurant numerous times while it was being built and were anxious for it to open. We love Cajun Creole cooking. We stopped in for lunch a couple of weeks after they opened up. We had no idea that there was another location. Hubby had the shrimp po-boy with added crawfish tails. I usually have red beans and rice any time we go to a new Cajun restaurant. I guess I figure that if they botch something that simple, I'll not wast time going back. We both waddled out totally satisfied with our meals. I will be going back to try something new. We love the fact that they are nearby and also that they do to-go orders. We can pick up dinner on the fly. Oh also, they were playing zydeco music as well, adding to the ambiance. Don't frequent this place often, a d I was reminded of why when I mistakenly ate there this evening. The service time was actually reasonable, but everything tastes like it's breaded in the same cracker meal breading mixture and it was just off-putting. The shrimp was brown, the catfish was brown, the onion rings were brown and the fries were golden brown and they were underwhelming (and their fries usually stand out for me). The Gumbo, was absolutely flavorless and tasted like it came out of a can. The Jambalaya wasn't even edible! It lacked seasoning and was flavorless. Whatever mystery meat (I assume shrimp) was in the Jambalaya was SOO MUSHY! It tasted like mashed potatoes. The shrimp in the Po-Boy was extremely tough which wasn't a good combination with the toasted bread. I don't know why this restaurant has so many good reviews, because the food was absolutely disgusting. Maybe the cooks were just having a bad day. Stopped on our way back from the cruise headed home. Wonderful service and fantastic food. Beans and rice, HP's, fried tilapia, etoufe, chicken quesadilla! Every bite was delicious and hot! Well, it was somewhat of a disappointment. We ordered delivery last night and our order was short. We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp only the shrimp did not make it into the order. I called today to let them know and see what, if anything, they would do about this mistake. They did nothing - no apology, no offer to deliver the shrimp and no offer to reimburse us for this mistake. I am so disappointed. I have never been treated like this. Crawfish were cooked to perfection - ordered spicy with extra seasoning but honestly, you don't need it. Ordered 2 pounds take out and was delightfully surprised with how large they were considering how late it was in the season. $6.99/lb eat in, $8.99/lb take out. Ordered two pounds with a cup of the seafood gumbo which was also AMAZING. My dad got the Cajun pasta and he had nothing but good things to say. Bread that went along with it was good. Positives first: all the food tasted good and service was cheerful even though it was very busy. Problems: Not enough help. You order at a counter and then find a seat. There was a constant line while we were there of folks waiting to place an order. The tickets go back to the kitchen so there is no pacing to the cooking of your food. You would think that would mean food coming out of the kitchen would be hot. One appetizer came out but not the crawfish. We asked the waitress to make sure crawfish came out before dinner. That didn't work as dinner came out next and the only thing hot was the French fries. Everything else --fish and shrimp--were just barely warm. Crawfish came out and were over cooked and only warm so extra hard work to peel. Add on side of fried oysters to hubby's dinner was forgotten so we reminded them and they were brought it in time for us to package them up with the rest of the left-overs. Prices seemed high. We over ordered in order to try a variety of things so we know our bill would be higher than usual, but $7 for add on fried oysters yielded four oysters that looked pretty pitiful in a big, otherwise empty basket. Conclusion: We won't be back for crawfish, but maybe in a few months, after they've been open longer, we will try it again for dinner. read more

We have been to the Woodlands location, and it is great! This Willis location is new; not sure how long its been open, but they seemed disorganized. They appeared to need more waitresses, more people taking orders, clearing tables, etc. Our food was not as good as what we had at the other location (quantity and quality). It was ok. The whole, stand in line to order isn't quaint, it's a pain. Dont go with a large party or you will be standing in line to order half the night. The fried shrimp was over cooked and like rubber. My husband's pasta dish was very bland. We had 3 dipping sauces and you couldn't tell them apart by sight or taste. I was really hoping they would be good because of how close they are, but was disappointed. They haven't been open very long, hopefully they will get their act together soon. We ordered an appetizer of boudin balls - super flavorful and fresh! We also ordered crawfish etoufee and fried crawfish tails. Hot and quick to come out, really tasted good. For management: our appetizer came out after our meals, and my crawfish etoufee came out without any etoufee sauce. We wanted to order crab balls but you were out of them. We dined at Bubba T's on Saturday 6/15 around 6:30 p.m. There were patrons but it was not crowded. Both of us ordered grilled fish (my wife chose tilapia and I chose red snapper), mixed vegetables, fried okra, a cup of gumbo and crab bites. I ordered a bottled beer and my wife ordered a margarita. The margarita was horrible and had to be exchanged for wine. We were served by a woman who seemed to be in a management role. The fish was over cooked, tough and stringy. My redfish was also discolored. I thought about complaining but no one checked on our table while we were there. Not once did anyone inquire about our dinner. Bubba T's are you listening??? read more
