Live the Relay Station often eat her for a steak on the way home from TRF. Always enjoy the ribeye with a cold shiner boch. I am a knight fighter at TRF and some join me for dinner there as well and we enjoy the casual atmosphere and service. One of us may eat the 85 ounce steak dinner soon.

Small CFS, fried okra, and purple hull peas

Quick stop for a Friday lunch on a day off! About 5 tables were being served. The ice tea tasted fresh and cold. The wait staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. One of our waitresses was being trained. She did a great job and was extra kind. Napkins, ranch, and tea refills without waiting around. Good food! We ordered the small chicken fried steak with 2 sides - purple hull peas and fried okra for the win. Chicken strips with fries for the kiddo! Gravy and ranch as requested for dipping. We will be back and look forward to trying more items! I also want to sit at the bar to try out the unique bar stools!

    Cute rustic decor.

Stopped in for a quick burger with some friends. Great service and food, the onion rings were the best I've had in a while!

Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms- a bit tiny, but packed with buttery goodness. Entrees: A5 Wagyu Flat Iron- this was a special and it wasn't tender enough to cut with just a fork like I've experienced, but still pretty tender and very juicy. Seasoned perfect to eat by itself, but it came with 4 different restaurant-made steak sauces. Mesquite Smoked Short Ribs- very tender and can be torn to shreds with a fork. Comes with mash potatoes and gravy and some crispy noodles for texture. Very flavorful. Sides: Maple Bacon Pecan Brussel Sprouts- very delicious and flavorful. Smoked Mashed Potatoes- very thick and smokey, but delicious. Definitely need some water lol. Poblano Creamed Corn- my wife liked this, but I didn't care for that creamy corn texture lol. Dessert: Marie Antoinette Cake- chocolate mousse cake that was perfectly rich with some kind of raspberry or berry drizzle. Also came with these super delicious alcoholic infused strawberries that paired super well. Overall, it was a pricey dinner, but not as pricey as I thought. Definitely had a great time and worth the price and experience. The restaurant ambience was dim and cabin-like setting with lots of beautiful decor. Our waiter, Gabriel was super friendly and helpful. He recommended a lot of our dishes tonight. Lots of parking and they also offer complimentary valet services.

The poblano cream corn might be one of the best sides we've ever had. The key lime pie with the almond graham cracker crust was the perfect way to end it. And the Mash Madness whiskey competition is such a cool touch -- blind tasting between A and B like March Madness for bourbon. Makes it even more fun.

I also have not seen my waitress since I put in my order that was over an hour ago. I will not be back to this restaurant. If you looking for even some semblance customer service I recommend you keep going, maybe try the pizza place in town they treated us very well last night. It's now an hour and a half the waitress brought the third and final steak but it was missing a side and the side that was on it was wrong. We are also the one of two tables in here. So later I figure I confused the waitress bc I said to add two salads to the order and maybe that's why two sides were missing. She thought I wanted salads for sides. But The rest of the order was still a disaster with absolutely no communication with my waitress. Which I could understand if she was busy but there were two tables in the whole restaurant.

Red Board is BACK!!!…read more When it originally opened, Red Board was our favorite local restaurant. Then Chef Craig headed to greener pastures and the food quality suffered. And after two date night dinners with crappy food, we quit going there. I am SO very happy to say, RED BOARD IS BACK! It was Lee's turn to choose the location for tonight's date night dinner, and I was a bit dismayed when he said we had reservations at Red Board. He assured me that there is a new chef, so I was grudgingly willing to give it a try. I had the red snapper with mango salsa, garlic mashed potatoes and jalapeño creamed corn. The mango salsa had a bit of a kick. The jalapeño creamed corn was luscious and had an even stronger kick! What's not to love? Lee had the chicken fried steak, jalapeño creamed corn and onion rings. He liked the steak, and commented that he was happy the corn wasn't swimming in cream. I stole some of his onion rings, and they are dynamite. Super crispy and oniony. I'm so happy we went there tonight. We will be back frequently if Chef Chris' food stays as good as it was tonight. Service there has always been great; that was never an issue. Kylie's service tonight was impeccable. And the food was every bit as yummy as anyone could hope. Thank you Chef Chris. You are AWESOME! And don't you even THINK about leaving Navasota!

Ponzu sauce on top was good but the cut and flavor of the tuna was bad, by the pictures of it it was definitely prepared wrong. For $30 we got 5 hunks of fish but wasn't worth $10 imo. Beef tartare was delicious, would recommend. Butternut squash soup is a must, very good! We had the Chateaubriand for an entree and it was great, good filet with decent mash and sauce. The à la cart filet was also good, may have even preferred it. Brussels as a side was one of the best items we had. Dessert: Bread pudding was delicious 8/10, chocolate mouse cake was good, 7/10 it's soooo rich almost a bit dry but still good. Drinks: Absolutely superb limoncello martini, all others were great as well. Overall great, would come back. Want to try a few more things. Was priced similar to other restaurants of the same caliber, no complaints there.

This time I was able to arrange to be here on a Saturday expressly to visit Leona. It was a 2 hour drive down from Dallas but hey, it's an adventure! I was not disappointed. I got there about an hour before they opened and there were 30-40 people in line already. I grabbed a spot on one of the benches that line the porch and watched more people pouring in. Over the next hour the line got longer and longer. I definitely got there none too soon. At opening time the nice lady came out and started bringing in each party one at a time. It moves fast and I was seated pretty quickly. The place is pretty huge so they seat a lot of people at a time. Judy Lee was my very sweet server and she kept me checked on and my tea glass full the whole time The "salad bar" is pretty simple. Just lettuce with a few tomatoes and the obviously homemade dressings. There is also slaw which was VERY good. The steak came with a scoop of mashed potatoes and a yeast roll. The streak is definitely the star of the show. The standard size is 10 oz with the option to add additional oz's. I opted for a 14 oz version which was probably closer to 20. They don't cut you short by any means. I have to say that this was one of the best and most perfectly cooked steaks I have ever had. I have had my share of prime restaurant steaks and this rivaled them all. Juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. It had the largest rib cap of any steak I have ever seen. Simply delicious. A 4 hour round trip for dinner might be a bit much but really worth it for the experience. If I find myself somewhere a little closer I'll be doing it again.
