Hand's down the best BBQ in Wyoming. There are two Bubba's, one in Jackson and one in Cody... the Jackson location edges out the win. Famous for their tangy bbq sauce which I was unable to buy, Bubba's Bar-B-Que is reputedly the best barbecue in town.. try the spicy smoked meat dishes (Beef brisket) or the barbecue chicken.... I bought 4 of their original sauce, looking forward to firing up my grill and cook me som ribs... I have to stop going to places locals recommend. The turkey was so dry we had to soak it bbq sauce just to be able to chew it. The pulled pork and baked beans were certainly nothing to write home about. The garlic bread was saturated in the fake butter liquid restaurants use when they don't want to make it the right way. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is the homemade chips were actually very good. Do yourself a favor and pass, unless you think Long John Silver's is gourmet seafood. read more

We were five people from a tour bus, so three separate tabs, no hesitation from our great waitress. There was diversity of of meals ordered but the consensus was that we had made the right choice in eating there. All the food was delicious, delivered hot and fresh. Stopped here on the tail end of a long drive through Yellowstone. The salad bar is gross: think mountains of iceberg, yellow tomatoes, and way too much ranch dressing. The barbecue is great. I don't even remember what I got (beef?), but my girlfriend's turkey sandwich was filled with some of the most succulent, perfectly moist poultry I've ever come across. Ate there after checking reviews and was not disappointed at all. I had the all you can eat salad bar and it was so good! Everything I loved about a salad was there. Parents shared the rib eye steak - "Probably the best rib eye I've ever eaten" were my dad's exact words. Our server was named Jacob and was very friendly and helpful. Very quick too! Dinner and the place was crowded. Service was okay considering the crowd and the food was a bit disappointing. The bbq pork was mediocre at best and not served hot and fresh tasting. The brisket was better but still not hot and fresh. The sides were again just okay. We waited all week to get in here. We finally had our chance and we were sorely disappointed. I had baby back ribs. They seemed to be reheated, terribly dry and hard to chew the bark. The beans were ok and the corn on the cob mushy. My husband the same type ribs with a 1/4 chicken. The chicken was definitely reheated and tough and dry. His ribs were like mine. The potato salad had too much mustard and the cole slaw was terrible. The garlic toast was good. Service was good. Never again would we waste our money here. We waited to be seated as requested. We were totally ignored by the hostesses. When we were eventually acknowledged, we were informed it was a 45 minute wait. Nope. I don't have any real complaints about it. they did a great job on the on the chicken it was funny that she would the waitress would say that the chicken would be a little bit red naturally because of the smoke ring and everything but I did notice that it was a little bit bloody near the bone. Their BBQ here is pretty good. Not the best I have had but for the price I would take this over the BBQ at the Rib & Chop House. The ambiance here is very casual and family style. Salad bars are hard to come by in Cody, this had to be my favorite. I would come here more for the salad bar than the BBQ (it's Cody, you get plenty of meat out here and not enough veggies). First time using Yelp. But, I felt I had to post from my dinner tonight. Great food. The BBQ definitely was well smoked and the sauce was just right. Our server was exceptional. She was checked in on us, and refilled drinks. But, the biggest deal was that the Kitchen made a mistake with our order and she fixed it right away, didn't shy away from us as though her tip was lost, and made sure everything else was just right. Have been to Bubba's twice 2006 and 2008. Enjoyed their BBQ very much. . Food was good,plentiful and affordable. Lots of locals in for cold beers and lunch or dinner. Would recomend if traveling to Yellowstone National Park,only a few miles from east entrance. read more

If your into health, do not eat breakfast at Bubba's. I ordered a mini omelet for breakfast that comes with hash browns and toast. Skip breakfast, Biscuits and gravy order, biscuit was hard as a rock, gravy was scarce and cold, even after asking the server if it was hot before ordering. I have eaten here before and it was good. This time we literally had to almost serve ourselves. The table wasn't stocked with napkins or BBQ sauce. The waitress never brought our silverware or came and refilled our drinks. We had to go find it ourselves and the corn was overlooked. We finally had to chase her down for the check. Absolutely delicious BBQ!! We ordered a family plate that had four meats with three sides. I am not crazy about pork spare ribs in general but these spare ribs were very tasty and the beans were really good. The service was great. This restaurant was definitely worth going to. read more

There was a big line and it's easy to see why. It's also worth the wait. The staff checked on us a couple times while we were waiting and the attentive service continued during dinner. My ice tea never got below half full. The barbecue beef was good, not spectacular but good. The chicken was excellent -- all smoky with a glaze of perfect sauce. We have been fans of Bubba's since they originally opened in Cody. They had excellent BBQ. Then the business was sold and the food and service slowly deteriorated. We stopped eating there. Now under new ownership, we tried it again. We were pleasantly surprised. Had baby back ribs and chicken. Both were good. BBQ sauce is a little sweeter now, but still good. Meat had good flavor and was moist. Only one server and she was swamped. Not the original Bubba's, but still good. We'll be back. It's the next morning and we are still in Cody. Bubba's is serving breakfast again. It was great. Easily the best breakfast in Cody. Highly recommend it. Because of breakfast I am raising the review from 3 to 4 stars. read more

Good overall experience. Our party got pulled pork, steak sandwich, buffalo bratwurst, and smoked turkey. The brat was definitely the best followed by the steak and turkey. The pork had quite a bit of gristle and we threw away about 1/4 of the portion. The BBQ sauce was great! Both the sweet that came out with the meal and the vinegar based on the table were awesome. Salad bar has a lot of selection, however some of the items were not fresh, including the lettuce; which was disappointing as we were there right around 5pm. Hostess seemed to have a difficult time seating 4+ 1 child...Most of the restaurant was empty. She finally sat us after they pushed two tables together, but she was not personable at all. Server was a bit better. Other positive was meal size, we had enough to share a meal with a trip to the salad bar. read more
